249 Are you dumping ?
The night that was ant to be silent with Capital Star retiring after a long hard day of work, was still so active with sirens and heavy military presence.
The manhunt for pri minister Ikeda’s assassin was underway while the best dical professionals in the federation were fighting to save his life.
One such person was Kiet. He had received a call in the middle of the night that there had been an ergency and he was asked to report to the Imperial hospital. He mostly preferred to work with impoverished patients residing in the lower districts of Capital Star for little to no cost.
Occasionally he would be summoned to assist the leech of the federation which he couldn’t smile about. For that corrupt pri minister, he had to leave the warmth of Yi Feng’s arms.
After four hours of removing the bullets from the pri minister’s body and repairing the pri minister’s damaged organs with advanced equipnt, Kiet ca out of the operating room only to be t by the pair of Ikeda siblings and several other unfamiliar faces.
When they saw his familiar face Ikeda Yua slightly frowned while Ikeda Crest showed slight surprise. Kiet didn’t even rember them. He simply stated the facts in the most professional way possible.
“The operation went well. The next forty-eight hours will be crucial. We have several doctors on stand by and the um....,” he said only for his light brain to make a distinct beeping sound.
He lowered his head to check and the corner of his lips twitched. He restored his stern facial expression before continuing,
“Neethling will watch over him twenty-four seven. It is the most advanced dical AI system in the federation.”

“Thank you,” replied Ikeda Crest. Kiet just nodded his head before walking away his steps hurried. He entered the nearest empty hospital room and fixed his hair before requesting a video call.
While it was ringing he hastily unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt revealing pale skin with prominent hickeys and red scratches looking like an enthralling canvas.
As soon as Yi Feng picked up his call his face suddenly sank when he saw that it wasn’t only him. He pressed the tip of his tongue on his cheek before putting on the best smile he could co up with.
Yi Feng was sitting at the edge of the bed with traces of sleep on his face. He raked his fingers through his hair his eyes sluggish like he was going to go back to sleep at any mont.
On the other display panel, Yi Chen seed haggard like he hadn’t slept at all. It seed the pair of cousins had suffered each in their own right.
“I didn’t think I would be speaking to two Yis when I called,” he said while buttoning up his shirt when he realized his man wasn’t even looking at him.
Yi Chen rubbed his temple while apologizing. It’s just that they hadn’t had an update on the pri minister’s condition not that he cared about that. He wanted to know what kind of weapon was used and if it can be traced back to Zi Han.
If it could be traced back to him then he wanted to get ahead of it and protect his lover. Since he couldn’t get hold of him he could only distract himself this way for the ti being.
“I am so sorry it’s kind of urgent... I want to ask what sort of weapon was used on the pri minister,” said Yi Chen his expression as blank as a sheet of paper.
Kiet smiled slightly while staring at Yi Feng who looked like he was going to pass out at any minute.
“Don’t you dare fall asleep,” said Kiet through gritted teeth.
Yi Feng raised his head with his hand resting on his forehead before complaining, “Last night you went crazy doing three to four tis. How can I stay awake after that? And worse off I woke up and you were gone, no note no ssage nothing. I thought you ate your fill and abandoned .”
Yi Chen, “...”
Too much information, right? Well, that wasn’t Yi Chen’s focus. His focus was on the fact that they did it three or four tis and he only did it once. After that Zi Han disappeared without a word.
Sure, he knew it wasn’t because he was inadequate in that area. Zi Han left for a valid reason but he still couldn’t help but find himself lacking.
Without much thought, he asked, “So... is this like a thing where you guys go several rounds in one session or-.”
“No, it is not. Cousin don’t learn from him otherwise you will get dumped,” said Yi Feng before lying back on the bed his every muscle aching.
“Are you dumping ?” asked Kiet his expression dark. His gaze was so fierce like Yi Feng had touched his bottom line. His insecurities surfaced. That’s because he knew Yi Feng too well. They had been friends for a very very long ti and he had seen one skirt after the other swing by especially when he was using that stuff before he got clean. He was genuinely afraid Yi Feng would leave him one day thus he tried his best to please him.
Yi Chen was a little worried that he was about to witness a couple fight thus he hurriedly said, “Um Kiet... the weapon.”
Kiet who was still so mad at Yi Feng spoke in a tone he had never used on anyone before. “In what capacity are you asking? As the future Marshal or as my brother in law.” Since these two practically grew up together they could be considered brothers hence he used the term brother in law.
“What is the difference?” asked Yi Feng wondering what this man was up to.
Kiet smiled slyly and spoke in a soft voice while leering at Yi Feng. “If he is asking as the future Marshal then he can only wait until the official report is out but... if he is asking as my brother in law I will obviously tell him.”
Yi Feng, “...”
