White Bell Fox Girl, an albino variant from the Fox Girl Clan.
The one holding a fruit tray in front of is about one ter tall, with a slender figure and soft limbs, as if a breeze could knock her down.
She’s still very young, yet her tail is one and a half ters long, fluffy, filled with white bells that she was born with.
Every ti her claws touched the ground, the crisp sound of bells echoed around, not noisy but soothing like music.
"Ding ding dong dong... Ding ding dong dong..."
The Fox Girl stopped, suddenly knelt on the ground holding the fruit tray.
In front of her was a person facing away from her, with a broad back and bulging muscles, radiating a sense of power.
"Steward, here is the chocolate peach you wanted."
"Put it down, get out."
A rough voice sounded, like a tiger’s low growl.
"Yes."
The Fox Girl was imnsely respectful, with no hesitation, and she returned the way she ca, simultaneously shutting the tal gate behind her.
"Clang!!"
The revolving chair suddenly flipped 180 degrees, turning the man to face forward.
In an instant, the candles that were extinguished around suddenly lit up, the orange hue of the fire gathering endlessly onto his body.
"I am the Steward of the Hai Xiong Clan — Ning Seng."
"Let inspect your goods, if they satisfy , I will give you the price you desire."
"Gee..."
Ye Hanjun and Ye Yin exchanged a glance, both slightly surprised.
This man was not a direct mber of the Hai Xiong Clan, but he was their ace vassal — Tyrant the Ning Family.
Legend has it that in the first epoch of the New Era, the Ning Family was one of the Holy Clans, with the S-class ’Tyrant’ authority, they had built remarkable achievents and gained a small reputation in a corner of All Heavens.
But after the founder Clan Leader perished, they imdiately aligned themselves with the Hai Xiong Clan.
Ning Seng was the third generation Clan Leader and also the chief vassal.
Externally, he appeared to be the "Grand Steward of the Hai Xiong Clan," but in reality, his power was unmatched by anyone outside the core family.
"This piece of at here."
Ye Hanjun maintained a humble appearance, handing over Mo’s flesh tissue.
Ning Seng’s wolf-like gaze imdiately narrowed, the fire around brightened slightly, but the coldness in the air turned icier than before.
"Where did this at co from?"
Ning Seng caressed the gift box, a rough thumb shimring faintly with light patterns.
He tried to authenticate it in his way but seed to have failed, getting no valuable clues.
"A secret cave under a cliff."
Ye Hanjun bluffed smoothly, stating,
"The first eyewitness claid that a large group of people successively rushed in, paying a high price of deadly casualties, only then at the bottom of the cave, they found this piece of at."
"It obviously has a rich divinity on the surface, undeniably involving The Fetus of God Sealing."
"But it’s too demonic, with a strong curse attached, we dared not even open the box, fearing it might unleash calamity."
"You should be glad you were sufficiently cautious."
Ning Seng spoke, his authority weighing down on his shoulders like a mountain:
"Even a Saint upon touching this might risk severe regret."
"Hand it over to ; I will further investigate its origin and if I can strip away the curse, restoring the at itself, it will surely be an irreplaceable ’ultimate ingredient,’ pleasing all guests."
Eh? Ye Hanjun was slightly startled in his heart.
This old fellow seed to treat Mo’s flesh as an Acquired contaminated substance.
This direction of research was wrong from the start, and after much effort, he’s likely to be gravely disappointed.
"You’ve traveled far to co here, what do you want in return?"
Above their heads, a white Golden Armored Parrot King spoke human words with pride.
Ye Hanjun had noticed it earlier; it was not surprising it was Ning Seng’s Contracted Spirit Heavenly Beast, chosen for its exceptional defense.
After so thought, feigning a bit of fear and insecurity, he said,
"We desire a treasure that can extend life, the longer the better."
"We have an elder at ho on the brink of passing, and we do not wish to see his fall... May I inquire if the Steward could assist?"
"Parrot, fetch the ’Millennium Jubilant Heart Fruit’ from my storeroom."
Ning Seng, commanding yet subtle, the Golden Armored Parrot King imdiately took flight, circling half a round before crashing into a secret door behind him.
After a while, the giant parrot flew back, a dicine box held in its mouth.
Once it released its claws, dropping the box, Ye Hanjun hastily caught it, and pretending to be overjoyed:
"Is this a Saint dicine of over fifty thousand years? Thank you, Steward!"
"This dicine is rare, its dicinal properties intense, consu it slowly and carefully."
Ning Seng waved his hand towards the entrance,
"If you’re satisfied, then leave."
"I, of the Hai Xiong Clan, am not accustod to casual hospitality; we either do nothing or do it lavishly."
His implication was that Ye Hanjun and Ye Yin had already received treasures of equivalent value.
And they clearly were not guests, staying further in the territory of the Hai Xiong Clan would only displease him.
"Of course."
Ye Hanjun led Ye Yin back the sa way.
One of their initial plans, to et an important figure of the Hai Xiong Clan, was necessarily to sohow extract information.
However, Ning Seng gave off a very stubborn impression, imperable as rock, with no entry point for conversation.
"Two bosses, quite fast, it seems the conversation went well!"
The White Bell Fox Girl was waiting outside, as was the Soldier Captain.
In the dark, there were a dozen or so other pairs of eyes, so from humans, so from Spirits, all staring intently at them, treated as if they were thieves.
"Thorough as a sealed barrel, truly cautious..."
Ye Hanjun thought to himself, chatting idly with the Soldier Captain while walking toward the door.
