"What are we doing here, Adrian?" Asmara asked as we stood on a hill far, far away from the battle scene.

"We're getting ready to leave," I simply replied.

"No," She said, looking deep into my eyes, her red eyes full of desire to believe sothing other than being the reason for this war.

However, I couldn't deny that I was the reason for this war so I moved my eyes away from her. "You have a family back ho, Asmara. You cannot be here. You can't die here."

"I will not run away, Adrian," She said with determination.

"I know," I replied before I nodded, "But it's not up to you."

A flash of lightning and a mont later, Asmara was deep asleep. Rose stopped beside her, grabbing her so she wouldn't fall. I looked at all of them, spotting so hesitation in Sasha's eyes as well, but she didn't step up to .

No, it wasn't because she knew she had no other choice. It was sothing else. Sothing more annoying.

[Faith]

[Makes it all the more harder, doesn't it?]

'It sure as hell does.'

In no capacity was I a good person. But my morals, whether good or bad have always been my origin. My origin to exist.

I slit my wrist and began to draw the formation for a spatial rift. It would be difficult for to get it up and running without sufficient power but for that, I had everything I needed.

I placed the 'Snow Storm' in the middle of the formation. Since it was already charged, it would supply enough power to keep the rift stable. Now I just needed sothing to kick start the creation of the rift.

Vhoom!!!

And to facilitate that process, that giant mushroom in the distance was enough indication that the battle between the bigwigs had begun.

Kharaamm!!!

The sky shattered and the space wept. The contorted image of the barriers around , keeping the world reality and the world beyond that apart weakening slowly, giving way to sothing beyond the door.

A path to ho.

The circle shone underneath our feet. It was activating, indicating that it was on the verge of forming and the only thing it needed was a little more ti.

A few seconds only and in that short amount of ti, the world of this reality was collapsing faster than one could imagine.

Fortunately, the portal was activated. The stability ca in handy and the souls of the rest of my teammates would allow for the circle to lock coordinates to their ho world, forming a bridge and then allowing for a pathway between here and Isis.

All they needed to do was just step through.

"Go," I said once the black wormhole hat stabilized.

"And what about you?" Sophien asked.

I looked at Sasha who was looking back at . I sighed, the only thing I could do at the mont, and replied, "I need fifteen minutes."

Fifteen minutes. Well, I only needed five. But fifteen would be the safe bet. After all, I didn't need to save everyone.

As the last of them stepped into the portal, I closed my eyes and opened them again. This ti, with a little more ferocity than last ti.

"Divine Buddha's wrath!" The Shaolin monk yelled and landed an attack on the timid-looking middle-aged man who had his arms extended. However, unlike one would expect, he wasn't rattled in the slightest.

He looked at the bald man and said, "Mister, I don't want a war. How about you just surrender peacefully?"

His accent was flawless Mandarin yet his facial structure didn't match those of the natives.

"I knew it! It was those damn foreigners!" The monk yelled and charged again to land an attack. He wasn't alone.

"Six-blade fury!"

"Pierce of the heavens!"

"Ground break!"

Many of the martial artists attacked the shield in front of the timid man in hopes of taking it down but no matter how they attacked, no matter how much they attacked, their signature moves, moves enough to bring down cities weren't enough in front of the barrier in front of the timid man.

"Foreigners?" The timid man spoke, "I do not rember any infiltration missions. Is soone else trying to invade this land except for us?"

The timid man casually talked to himself as if hundreds of n weren't attacking him, trying to bring him down. His questions weren't heard by anyone so it wasn't like there was an answer for them as well.

However, the timid man couldn't stall any longer. Too many of their own n were dying. They had brought one million soldiers but half of them had already been killed.

Granted, the half that died also took down thousands from the martial artist's side, but their power wasn't on par with the two leading this invasion.

Sooner or later, those leftover half million would die as well. What would be left in its stead would be only them and hundreds of martial artists to fight off.

The timid man was sure he would win against the ones attacking him but he wasn't so sure when his gaze turned one woman on the other side.

Yan Tae Yong calmly stood on top of the wall, her gaze as neutral as always, and nothing discernable from her expression. But the timid man knew that as long as she wasn't involved in the battle, they'd have a chance at winning.

At least not until their backup arrived.

Boomm!!!

A strong explosion in the distance blew many n in one direction. Thiers.

Cough!

A man stood up, a sword in his hand, while many lay on the ground, their fates unknown. And the only person who stood as tall as a pole was the one who threw them all in that direction.

"Hahahahahaha!!!!"

Joyous laughter as if the occasion called for it. The blood and gore around were massive and would make anyone nauseating but it seed like the current scene was making the man very happy.

Strange green power enveloped him as he stepped forward with a heavy sword in his hand that was almost a foot longer than himself and he carried it like it weighed nothing at all. His most distinct feature was the grin on his face that relayed how happy he was.

"Ahh~~~" He inhaled and let out a moan of pleasure as he said, "I have missed this. The days of war. A new continent to conquer. A new world. A new power."

"That is why I cannot forsake the feeling of a war, the sll of it, the sll that keeps alive." The man spoke, his eyes lively as if he had finally found his life's purpose.

He looked at Namgoong Cheon, the man who was the patriarch of the Namgoong clan and the strongest sword master in the entirety of Murim.

"That is not all you have, is it, warrior? You have not even shown the essence of your sword," The man spoke as the green power around him intensified, his presence itself becoming overbearing to everyone on the battlefield.

'It's the sa as that girl,' Tae Yong rembered a certain red-haired girl who wielded sowhat the sa power. Only her color was red yet the essence of the power was the sa.

'Is it true?' She couldn't help but think. It wasn't a coincidence that foreigners showed up at their doorstep and now, almost three months later, an army who wielded sowhat the sa power as them was advancing towards their very door.

Yet, for so reason, she refused to believe that. They were there for a goal of their own but they weren't enemies. If they were, Tae Yong would have known. She would have felt it deep down.

Yet when she gazed into the white eyes of the young man who led them all, she saw nothing. Not even hatred or love. But she was sure, that those eyes still had emotions in them and whenever they relayed those emotions, they were never of hate.

They weren't of enmity either.

They were of sothing else. Sothing deep. Sothing very familiar to her.

"What will we do now, sister?" Tae Yong heard the voice of the person she loved the most in the world. The person who was the reason for her living to that day.

And when she would look at her, her eyes would turn tender and her heart would warm up, giving her a sense of fulfillnt.

Her only child. A child she could never openly love. A child she had to abandon and when she would arrive at that, she would be filled with regret.

'Ah…'

Suddenly, sothing clicked at the back of her mind.

Regret.

That was the familiar emotion, the familiar look in his eyes whenever he would look at her or the demonic sect. Like a child he had abandoned and he was too ashad to co back.
