Lightning crackled and I moved to my left. Rose passed in her lightning form but she couldn't change the direction and when she materialized, I was able to kick her back from behind, throwing her to the other side of the room.
I get that turning into lightning wasn't too much of a difficult task for a genius like her, but controlling the flow like water wasn't an easy task even for a genius like her.
So although she was able to turn into lightning, her progress in the departnt of fluidity wasn't much. She couldn't change her direction that easily.
Well, it was still a feat that she mastered lightning so fast. I was sure she wouldn't take long to go beyond this.
But…
[Your party mber Laura Ravenknight is now level 251]
[Your party mber Alicia mon Grante is now level 258]
[Your party mber Sophien Vermillion is now level 254]
[Your party mber Max is now level 250]
[Your party mber Asmara Hayez is now level 260]
The problem was the rest of them. It took them two months to get over with their breakthrough. And not just that, they were still getting used to their newfound power. Laura was the second last to finish and the last one was obviously Max.
Usually, it wouldn't have been too much of a problem. I an, forgetting my standards for a bit, just the fact that they were that strong at that age was an accomplishnt like none other.
But….
[Your party mber Rose Roosevelt is now level 348]
Compared to this monster, their accomplishnts were paling in comparison. Rose was one level away from reaching her S rank limit and soon, she would reach the realm of SS rank. And with her assimilation of lightning, she would be stronger than any other SS rank.
Let's just say she would be almost on the sa level as Lucius, Adrian's uncle and the second prince.
Rose lacked in one departnt and that was just her techniques but she was catching up in that departnt as well.
Technique was a very important factor when it ca to fighting. Without a proper technique, bringing out even half of one's potential was a difficult task.
Rose, who was of common birth wasn't well versed in technique. I did teach her so dagger arts, thinking that she could fend for herself but even I wasn't aware of her full talent then.
But when I beca aware of her talent, I tried to do it and the result was…
[Your party mber Rose Roosevelt has mastered 'Fury of the Assassin King(S)']
[Progress rate: 56%]
[Your party mber Rose Roosevelt has mastered 'Heart Seeker(SS)']
[Progress rate: 41%]
[Your party mber Rose Roosevelt has mastered 'Thunder Tempest(SS)']
[Progress rate: 39%]
[Your party mber Rose Roosevelt has mastered 'Midnight's Silent Strike(SSS)']
[Progress rate: 13%]
Four dagger arts. This girl learned four dagger arts in two months. Of course, she didn't master them, but she at least completed them to the point she could use them.
Her progress rate went up each ti we practiced and sparred. And not just that, she was also becoming more accustod to lightning and becoming more and more fluid at the sa ti.
Phantom's Abyss. My primary dagger art, taught to by one of my masters. If I had to compare it with a rank, then it would be about ten tis divine rank. I thought of teaching this to her but even I didn't know the consequences of that.
Her body wasn't strong enough to handle that power yet, after all. Besides, the amount of energy needed to execute the moves of this dagger art was too big.
Rose wouldn't be able to use just the first technique of this dagger art, let alone all five techniques.
But what I was sure of was the fact that once her mana reached divine rank, she would definitely be able to execute the first two moves at least.
If she learned that then even I would be cautious when dealing with her.
"Not fair," Laura said from the corner as she sat cross-legged and tried to restrain her mana. "You're only teaching her. Teach sothing special too."
Well, as much as cute she looked when she acted like a spoiled girlfriend, I couldn't teach her anything solely because of her talent.
Not just her, I was sure that except for Asmara, no one else was talented enough to learn any of my primary weapon arts. Even Asmara was a candidate because when it ca to swords and battle, she was a genius and also because Divine Demon Sword Art didn't require that much power in the first place.
That was why I created such a sword art. Energy efficient.
"First get used to what I have taught you," I said, much to her dissatisfaction which made her pout.
Damn. She was hellishly cute.
And the temptation of darkness didn't help either.
But, as much as I wanted to focus on naughty stuff, I still had to focus on the practical stuff more. After all, can't do anything naughty if she was dead.
"Hmph! I want more." She said with another cute pout.
Hmm. Looks like the first and foremost thing I would have to teach her was restraint. Just like I was restraining myself from jumping her.
Fwoo…
"I will teach you all when you all get accustod to your current physiques," I told her and turned to Rose who was up and wondering whether to jump or not.
To attack.
After that, our training continued. To be honest, I was a little skeptical about all of them. Their progress rates were either too slow or too fast. Even I was stumped on how to teach them individually.
Not to ntion that left no ti for to train. Well, I don't train but kill monsters… and people… but still, I needed ti for myself as well.
For these last two months, we have been in this training room, just focused on training.
Desmond wasn't too happy with that but thanks to Sirius, we were able to avail of the long-term leave but even that had a limit. So after everyone was done with their breakthrough, I allowed them a few days to get used to their newfound strength and then we would be continuing the school life.
Despite knowing it was a waste of ti since I could make them stronger than the academy, the rules were also a thing of life. They needed to be wary of those rules and obey them.
Otherwise, I would just be looking at delinquents who have gained power they didn't have before.
So, with our training done, finally, we were out of this room after two months.
*******************
"Everyone keeps looking at us," Sophien whispered in my ear as we were all sitting in the classroom.
I swallowed the words that I could see that as well and replied, "Well, we were gone for all of the sester, and the next test is about to start as well."
They were wondering why weren't being punished right now because even an idiot could tell that Desmond wasn't very happy with us.
He just kept looking at with narrowed eyes and directed almost all the questions at us.
Like they say, piss off your professor and your university life becos very hard.
Sa here.
Anyway, he couldn't bully us all the ti so he moved on to the real part of today's class. The reason Sirius also asked us to get out by now was also this.
The announcent of the last test for the first years.
"We will now begin the detailed information about the mission, "Zeus's advent". Any questions regarding the mission are to be reserved after I have said my piece," Desmond said in his usual stern tone and began.
"Zeus was an enemy that appeared in the ancient tis. Where did he co from? How was he here? Why was he here? None of these questions were answered." Desmond began his explanation.
"We know nothing about him. We know where he ca but we don't know how. We know what his advent brought, but we don't know what his goal was. In one phrase, we know nothing."
"All we know is that he was an enemy that all the nine apostles, two saints, and many more armies had to band together to defeat him."
When Desmond got to that point, the entire class was astonished. A part of the history that never existed. They didn't know anything about it.
Well, even I didn't know anything about it. In the novel, this test wasn't covered. For so reason, this part was skipped.
Well, now I knew why.
To keep from knowing about an enemy.
However, I wasn't the only one who would have knowledge about it.
There was one more person.
The one who was living this life for the second ti.
None other than our sweet and idiotic protagonist.
