[Ergency quest]
[The hero]
[Description]
[A turn of events has ended up making a hole in the space of events
Many events are trying to fill that hole
The one to succeed has now begun]
[Task: End the event]
[The event lasts for thirty minutes]
[Objective: Survive or kill the orc however, no life must be lost]
[Reward: None]
[Punishnt: For each student dead, stat points would be deducted]
[Upon the death of Eric: 200 stat points]
[Upon the death of Asmara, Sasha, and Sera: 100 stat points each]
[Upon the death of other students: 50 stat points each]
'THE HELL IS THIS?!!!!' I yelled as I pulled Asmara and Sasha who were in my range back with . I also made sure to conjure shields around everyone else. Eric wasn't dead with that shot so it was okay to take one hit from the orc.
And with my celestial guard in place, I was sure they wouldn't die. As expected they didn't. but the Orc noticed soone. The strongest among us. .
"Get everyone out of here!" I said and let go of Asmara and Sasha.
I also pulled a lot of HP potions from my inventory and handed them to both of them and said, "Give this to everyone. Whether they're injured or not. Focus on that idiot first." I pointed at Eric who was being healed by Sera but obviously, it wasn't working really great.
Asmara and Sasha didn't argue even for a second because they knew the enemy was sothing far out of their league. It was out of my league and I was at the peak of this world's strength. It was beyond how it managed to maintain such a level of strength while also resisting the laws sohow.
Well, I got what I got. Applying buff on was useless because my strength was already maxed out. So it all ca down to the show of skills.
I dodged the heavy axe strike by moving sideways. It was difficult, to be honest. There was at least a hundred stat point difference between us, physical anyway.
So even with predicting where the strike would land, it didn't make it any easier for to dodge that strike. It was doable, but only for now. There was a great chance that this could happen again and there was also a great chance that my attacks wouldn't do much to this big lug.
I opened the shop and purchased the first weapon that ca to the limit. I was hoping a weapon would give a stat boost along with a special effect that could make this fight even a little easier.
[The sword of infinite fla]
[Grade: B ]

[Penalty: The user will lose 100 HP upon the use of a skill every ti]
I felt a small power boost as soon as the sword appeared in my hands. It was a broadsword but it wasn't heavy like one. There were intricate patterns of red lines on it that began from the tilt and ended on top of the sword.
Skill runes and the power boost while also the rune of the penalty. All in one. Whoever made that weapon was surely a great craftsman.
However, contrary to the sword's rank, the power boost wasn't that much. It was very low but it was at least sothing. Since I could get a power boost from this weapon, I equipped the rest of the items as well.
Unfortunately, my power didn't increase by one bit when I equipped them. I was annoyed by that fact so I hurriedly unequipped everything and dodged once again while slashing my sword at the side of the orc.
It was a dumb orc, an opponent with an IQ of ten, barely. But even a brainless idiot knew how to walk and talk. Just like that, this orc knew its inherent trait. Fighting.
It was programd that way, to react that way, to fight that way.
It didn't dodge my sword strike but parried it instead. With such precision and skillful mastery, it showed it had been in many fights before.
This wasn't an easy opponent in any way. The power part was on its side and now the skill part as well. The only thing I had going for was experience. But in no way was this going to be an easy fight.
I sidestepped to dodge another axe strike and delivered my own along with ten [Magic cannons].
The cannons were useless when they ca in contact with its tough skin. I hate to admit but his skin was tougher than mine, and I doubt mine would be as tough as him even when I reached the SSS rank.
I once again jumped to the side and created so distance between us.
It would be difficult to win, sure. But there was no way I was going to lose.
Or that should have been the case but I forgot to include one thing in my analysis.
I wasn't alone. I was in the presence of an idiot who was impulsive, not mature a bit even though it was his second life, and was very confident because things always seed to go his way.
That's right. I say that about none other than the idiotic main character of this novel, and technically this world, Eric.
Eric launched himself at the Orc, his holy sword brandished, and delivered a strike at the orc. The orc looked at him, not moving a bit. It wasn't because it was cautious. It was dumbstruck. Even the face of an idiot was saying, 'Who is this bug?'
Clang!!
The sword slash was blocked effortlessly by the orc with a simple reposition of its axe. As the attack was blocked, Eric froze in place because the force was too much for him. He was once again thrown back with a single swing of the orc's axe.
The green creature wasn't even trying to kill him.
What an idiot.
But that bought enough ti to yell at the idiots who hadn't left yet.
"Why aren't you out of this place yet?" I asked Asmara and Sasha who were standing at the forefront of the students while Sera was behind them, chanting so spells.
"We cannot leave." Asmara only said that much. But it was enough of an answer. Of course, a quest like this wouldn't make it so easy for .
If I could avoid the penalty just by letting all of them run away, then there was no point in giving such a harsh penalty.
The orc looked at . I had made another mistake while trying to understand this orc. It wasn't smart, but it wasn't dumb either. Because the next mont, its eyes turned to the group of students that was trapped.
It grinned.
Fu*k.
I shot myself at them while the orc did the sa. I exhausted all my power just to intercept him before he could hit them.
I braced myself for the impact and as expected, a terrible force traveled through as and the orc ca to a standstill.
However, I was losing.
I saw Eric coming to my rescue when I yelled, "Don't! You idiot! Get behind and protect everyone. Mages, cast protective spells in front of you. Physical fighters at the front and brace for impact."
For whatever reason, Eric followed my orders, got behind , and protected everyone. As for the rest, the physical fighters ca at the forefront while the mages went to the back also cast all of the defensive spells they knew.
"Is he going to let him go?" Sera asked, probably afraid that I was going to get out of the way and the orc would bash into them while I delivered the attack using that opportunity.
But she was wrong. I was trying to protect them from sothing far more terrible.
Flas began to gather in my mouth as the temperature around began to rise.
The orc suddenly stopped pushing and backed away.
"Scared, aren't you?" I asked. but too late.
[Dragon's breath]
A storm of fire left my mouth, expanding rapidly, and covering the entire cave. It wasn't a good idea to use this skill in an enclosed space like this but there was no other choice.
[You have defeated the opponent]
[No EXP received]
Because of my level-up restriction, I didn't gain a level but it was okay. I was only going to get 1,000,000 EXP from that. That wouldn't do any good in my condition.
Just as fatigue engulfed from the skill, I suddenly had a thought. An ominous one.
Why wasn't there a quest clear?
Thud! I heard the sound of a footstep heavily sounding on the other side of the cave.
Fu*king great.
