"Imperial prince, Adrian von Deus Lux, you are under arrest under the suspicion of demonic origins. You are to co with us. A trial will be held to decide your fate," John, the guy whose second na I didn't bother to rember, kind of read my rights.

"You will be held in the monastery in the Imperial capital, not the imperial palace. If you have anything to ask, you can once you are properly detained," He continued to read my rights while I continued walking, in chains.

[Once again in chains but no chicks]

Of course, my lovely companion didn't lose the chance to mock .

It was a pity though. Once again n with spears but no chicks with water ba---

[Stop talking]

'You started it,' I replied with a smirk. Like she could ever win against .

I was walking through the imperial palace, surrounded by the clerics of the church, to the gate of the imperial palace from where I would be taken to the church's monastery here in the capital.

Although I could have resisted, I didn't. There was no use to. The claim ca from no one other than my own alleged father. It was difficult as it was, but now my origins as a demon would only make things more difficult for .

However, there was no problem at the mont. The old n at the imperial palace wouldn't just remain quiet. Their authority has been challenged. They would employ every thod in their arsenal to weaken the church's authority in turn.

Not to ntion, the public was already on my side. Too many factors were in place and that made the people of the church nervous.

Another reason why I gave up so easily was because I couldn't let a public riot ensue. Thousands of people would die at the hands of the church and all it would be said was that they were protecting a demon.

I didn't judge the church for that though. The imperial family, or anyone else would do the sa. Who ever cared about the innocent people? A politician doesn't.

I ca out of the palace along with the people of the church and as expected, the protest from the people was on a great scale. So great that I was still worried even though I had instructed the silver knights to control the crowd.

"Let him go!"

"Release him!"

"You corrupt dogs!"

"When have you ever cared about us?!"

It wasn't long before people began to throw things at the clerics around . I could see John's expression increasingly becoming ugly as the seconds passed.

And as I feared, a tomato fell near his feet, dirtying his robe. He yelled with anger, "Who is it?!"

As mana left his body, it hit many people but fortunately, no one was hurt. Since no one was hurt, I didn't do anything.

However, it was then when a cleric pointed at an old man and said, "It was him, supre priest."

"Execute him!" John didn't give any other order and before words even fully left his mouth, a cleric, brandishing his sword, lunged at the old man and swung his sword.

The crowd yelled and the old man closed his eyes. But nothing ca on him. He was safe and sound. When he opened his eyes, I stared him deep in the eyes and said, "Stand down."

My hollow eyes which should have made him afraid, saw nothing but respect in his eyes for as he said, "Whatever you wish, Your Highness."

I turned to look at the cleric who was struggling to free his sword from my hand. I used soul power on my palm and his sword didn't even budge forward, let alone cut anyone.

I clutched my fist and destroyed his sword. Before he could move back, I kneed him in the stomach before I grabbed the arm that held his sword handle before I ripped it off. It was a wrong move, attacking a mber of the church but I was angry so what the hell.

"Ahh!!!" While he scread in pain, I stepped towards John. Seeing out of chins, the other clerics were alard but simple words from were enough for them, "Those who step forward will lose their both arms as well."

And it worked like a charm. I wasn't a believer in 'Violence is always best' but even I had to admit it solved small scuffles.

I arrived in front of John before I grabbed him by his neck. He tried to struggle but all his struggle proved futile when he saw deep inside my eyes.

"I allowed you to arrest , not hurt anyone. For each person hurt, I will take your one body part, so make sure that doesn't happen while we arrive at the monastery." I let him go as I warned him. This could be substituted as the fault of the people so I wasn't being so violent.

Fortunately, for him, he nodded frantically when he realized the power difference. His eyes literally scread, saying we were wrong about him.

Anyway, the escort continued and I was soon led to the monastery.

However, as we arrived in my cell, sothing felt wrong. Before I could do anything, I disappeared from my spot and appeared in another. A white room.

It didn't take long to realize that I was teleported sowhere. Sowhere not the monastery. It seed like soone had so other plans.

Now I was curious.

**********

"What?!" Orion said as his mana threatened to destroy everything in his surroundings but Rafael was able to contain it on ti.

"The entire monastery has been emptied. As for the holy mountains, there is so sort of magic that doesn't allow us to pass." A silver knight replied, trembling in fear.

"And?" Zarden calmly asked.

"Sir Bayren sends the ssage that it is impossible to traverse past a certain point of the mountain." The silver soldier replied.

"Is there anything else?" Rafael asked.

"No, your lordship," The silver knight replied.

"If Bayren himself tried entering and couldn't, then it ans us going would do much. But I will still go and see if I can pick any traces of anything." Rafael said. Being a space magician, he was sure there must be sothing they could pick up.

"You do that," Zarden said and turned to Orion who still hadn't cald down. "Calm down for now. We need to know what the church plans to do."

Orion closed his eyes and took deep breaths, calming himself to a certain extent but even for him, past that was impossible.

He turned to the silver knight and said, "Round up the entire silver army. Arrest everyone who is on the side of the church, even the dukes. If there is anything, get it out of them."

"Yes, your Majesty." The silver knight replied with a bow before he left.

"This could be risky," Zarden said.

"I don't care," Orion replied.

Before long, things were set in motion. The entire empire was awakened from a deep sleep. The Silver Knights and the Hayez family arrested everyone who even had the smallest connection to the church in a single night.

Knights, officials, and even the nobles. No one was spared. They were arrested and they were interrogated.

However, nothing was gained. There was one more person but he was unconscious due to breaking a mana contract. Everyone knew that Harvey would know more than anyone else but he couldn't be awakened so no answer could be obtained.

However, the rest of the monasteries of the church weren't empty. They were attacked by the silver army themselves and every person in it was arrested. A storm took the entire empire in a single night and the consequences were sothing no one could bear.

Not the empire, not the church.

However, one person benefited from all of this very much. The person who had just woken up and looked around and examined his surroundings.

"Haven't had a dream like that in a while," Adrian said before his eyes locked on to a girl about his age who was staring at him intently.

"Be careful. You look at like that and sothing will surely awaken," Adrian said before he tried to move only to find out he was chained. Again.

"You know this won't hold back, right?" Adrian said before he pulled on the chains only for his face to turn strange.

He couldn't put any power in his arms, in his body. It was as if he had returned to being a simple human. Without any power, a weak person.

"Who are you?" Adrian asked after a while because he couldn't understand what was going on.

"That doesn't matter. What matters is, who you are." The girl said. Adrian chuckled and was about to say sothing when the girl stood up and approached him with slow steps. She kneeled in front of him, matching his eye level before she asked, "Who are you?"

Adrian was once again about to reply when the girl uttered a single word that froze him down to his core, "Gabriel."
