"I'm fine," I said to quell her worries while I stood up with a minor pain in my chest. Most of the pain was gone but the strike was still very strong and my HP wasn't fully recovered yet so my chest was still stinging a bit.

The focus of the shapeshifter was mostly on because I was the strongest person there. Even Sasha's earlier water cannon had at most halted its run.

Other than that, I doubted it even took five points of HP off of it. So that ans it would remain focused on so the others should be safe.

But there was no harm in being careful for now. If it decided to go after the students, they wouldn't even last one attack. There was no other option, if even Sasha and Asmara were hit, their survivability would be pretty low and they had the plot armor protecting them.
