Chapter 706 - Wrong Move
Fragrance Dining, Ocien.
Max quietly walked up the stairs following Travis. His gaze was constantly circling around the place. He was wondering what was going around.
He could even sense a strong presence around here. This only made him worried.
This ti the task to eliminate the Dark Society in Ocien may turn out to be harder than he had initially thought. After all, if these guys joined the Branch of the Dark Society in disguise, it would significantly boost their strength.
And, from what he had been hearing, there was a strong chance of encountering Supre Tier Mages from Dark Society in Ocien. So, this finding now was only making the situation worse for them.
At this mont, the two of them finally arrived at the VIP room.
When Max entered the place, he already saw a group of people around his age seated there.
What made him a bit surprised was that out of 8 of them here, four of them leaked out Demonic aura.
'Are they natural born or converted ones..' Max was not sure, but if he had to guess, he would say natural born. Because he had seen converted ones like Arnold. These people weren't giving him the sa feeling.
Instead, the aura he was feeling from them was very faint. Only when he shook his hand was he able to confirm their identity. This only made Max suspect that these people were of pure blood.
After all, Beli who was a Royal blood could totally hide her presence from him. So, it made sense that a Demon with a purer blood were able to control their natural aura at will as well.
And just like last ti, a few hostesses arrived to accompany them.
"You have really been the talk of the Upper Society. Your strength hasn't left any spot for the mbers of the younger generations like us," One of the guys said with a smile as he looked at Max.
"I am not that good. Anyone could do that with a little hard work," Max replied with a smile.
"You are just being humble."
"Isn't this what makes him great? Not only does he not flaunt his achievent but is even so humble. Truly a man of great qualities," Another said with a laugh.
Max smiled at them wondering what was the reason behind all these praises which were raining down on him.
"What are you doing his glass is empty?" Travis frowned as he looked at the lady who was sitting beside Max.
The girl had tried to get a bit in touch with Max, but for so reason, there seed to be an invisible barrier around Max. And, not only that, a second later, her body was frozen to her spot as well.
It beca very obvious to her that the guy didn't want anything. And, he just wanted her to be there. Hence, she did that.
But, now that Travis asked her to fill his glass so Max let go of her to not create any trouble.
"It's fine, I do not drink," He calmly replied to him. Obviously a lie. During his days of Trial. He was basically drunkard. There was a ti when calling him an alcoholic wouldn't haven't been wrong at all.
"You can't refuse us today.." The guys around insisted for so reason.
And, the girl just did her job and poured a drink. Whether Max drank it or not had nothing to do with her.
Seeing her offer the glass, Max just took it with a smile. He still kept it in his hand, and observed everyone's expression as he slowly drank it.
The mont he gulped it, he sure did notice a change in this people's expression.

There was indeed sothing in the drink..
'Aphrodisiac..' Max really was speechless when he felt a heat in his body. What kind of cliche plot was this?
But, wasn't this the other way around?
Shouldn't a girl be in his shoes, and he would be the one to rescue her?
What the hell was this? Did these people spin the other way? Was he going to be assaulted?
Anyway, he wasn't worried. He had a Succubus as a contracted spirit.

"Excuse , I will use the restroom for a bit." Max suddenly got up, and walked towards the restroom.
He then let out his clone, and changed his own appearance using the spirit mark.
His clone was supposed to return back to the room while he jumped out of the window and then calmly re-entered the place with a different face.
Max obviously wanted to see what these people planned to do. But, he wasn't willing to bear it with his real body. He would obviously not let his clone suffer either. But, he could still take it a bit ahead with his clone.
After entering the place once again, Max booked the room right next to the one that Travis was in.
"Isn't he taking too long?" One of the guys suddenly asked.
"Don't tell the sleeping concoction worked and he fell asleep inside?" Another guy asked.
'Sleeping concoction?' Max who was listening on the other side was taken back.
Why was there an aphrodisiac in it then?
"Who knows? Maybe we should check.." One of the guys suddenly said, when Max's clone walked out of the washroom.
"I am sorry, it took a bit longer.." He apologized.
"It's fine.."
It was all laugh and sweet from their onwards.
They continued to talk, but their eyes would occasionally scan Max's face to see if that thing was working or not.
"I think I had enough of food. It's ti for so dessert." One of the guy said with a lecherous smile and grabbed the hand of the girl beside him. The girl didn't refuse as well.
This whole group was a bunch of perverts.
Travis glanced at Max, and frowned.
Max was neither making a move nor falling asleep. That concoction was provided by his mother. She said that even Supre Tier Mage would fall asleep when given. So, he couldn't understand what was going on.
He could only look at the girl for now and urge her to at least entertain Max. After all, if he asked to return or once again went to the toilet. His plans might very well go down the drain.
The girl too was staring at Max the whole ti wondering why that thing wasn't working.
Right, this girl had switched drinks as well for all of a different reason.
