Chapter 701 - A Bitter Fight
Competition Ground, Trinity.
"Crackle!" Lightning busted through lan's body as he roared in anger. The mana around imdiately plunged into chaos, and both Eren and Terry felt a pressure weighing down on them.
But, this didn't stop Terry at all. He once again pulled the string of his bow and several flying straight towards lan.
"You think that it's going to work again.." lan snorted, and lightning flashed as his figure moved.
"Careful!" Eren alerted Terry, and imdiately rushed towards him with the axe in his hand.
"Crackle!"
lan appeared in front of Terry like a ghost, his fists, clad in lightning, were already punching outwards while he slowly shifted his head towards Eren.
Terry had reacted at Eren's scream, and his bow was already in front of him in a defensive manner.
"Bang!"
lan fist landed on the bow and Terry imdiately felt a huge impact travelling through his body. The lightning obviously zapped him as well, and he was sent flying away in the distance.
"Whoosh!"
Eren noticed an orange flash, and he was sure that the tiger had just dashed past them. He was definitely going after Terry. But, there was no way that he could do anything when he had his own hands tied up.
"Clang!"
His axe hacked down on lan, but the guy imdiately pulled the spear he had on his back to block the attack.
The two were instantly locked in that stance.
"You think you can overpower ?" lan asked with a smirk. If it was one of this guy's monster teammates, he sure would have taken it seriously. But, this guy..
"Clang!" With a strong push, he sent Eren stumbling behind. He was obviously the one in a domineering position here.
But, lan wasn't in the mood to play. This was the final and he was dead set on winning. Hence, he imdiately pursued after Eren, not giving him any chance to resist.
The spear in lan's hands produced sizzles as threads of lightning wrapped around it.
Eren was imdiately forced into a dodging ga. He could either defend or dodge the incoming attack.
His axe was heavier and larger than the spear in lan's hand. Hence, he was the slower one here. If he tried to go in for a counterattack, lan would most like burrow several holes into his body.
As the ti tickled through, wounds began to appear on Eren's body. He really had t a bad match. His water elent was a bad match with lan's lightning. The sa was the thing with his weapon, and to make the matter worse, the guy was stronger than him.
This was as bad as it could be.
'I can't beat him..' Eren could only admit it inwardly. He clearly was not this guy's match yet.
'Should I escape and lure him out of here?'
He soon shook his head. If he did that, it was possible that the guy would ignore him and go towards Terry or Axel.
That would be a bad news for them.
Eren slowly glanced in the direction which Terry was, and he could clearly see that the guy was being suppressed by the Tiger guy. It didn't seem like he could handle him much longer.
'It seems this is the best choice..' Eren muttered inwardly, and finally ca to a decision.
"Where do you think you are looking at?" lan's voice sounded in his ears.
"Bang!"
A kick landed on Eren's stomach the next instant, sending him flying through the air.
"Splash!"
Eren's face twisted in pain, but he still gritted his teeth, and with a flick of his hand, he sent all the water in the pits around, flying towards lan.
lan was prepared, and imdiately backed away a bit while defending himself. But, he soon realized that there was no force behind this attack, it was just like soone throwing a glass of water at your face.
'What is he tryin-' lan's eyes widened when he suddenly noticed that Eren had run away from their fight and was heading straight towards Terry and Tiger guy with all his mana bursting through his body, and a stream of water trailing his axe.
It was clear that he was about to go for a heavy hit.
"No you don't!" lan imdiately chased after him.
….
"Swish!"
A claw tore through Terry's shirt leaving bloody claw marks on his skin, but he still gritted his teeth and smashed his bow at the enemy.
"Bang!"
The Tiger guy raise his arm, and defended himself from the hit, and subsequently did a backflip avoiding the incoming arrows
"Tsk.." Terry clicked his tongue, as his hand shivered while holding the bow. There was a deep bloody wound on his hand. It was clear that he wouldn't be able to use the bow for much long with his deteriorating condition.
"Terry, prepare for the final attack! Pour everything in it! I will create a chance for you!" Eren's voice rang through the communication channel.
Terry frowned, but the next instant, the mana around him surged. The wind began to revolve around him, and gather into his thumb and forefinger as he pinched the string of the bow and pulled it back.
The Tiger guy noticed the change in situation as well. But, he was smart and imdiately decided to run away. It was clear to him that it was a last desperate attack on his opponent's side. As long as he dodged it, the win would be his.
"You are not going anywhere!!" Eren's voice sounded from a distance. He was clearly not going to stop him at that range. But, Eren suddenly swung his axe, and brought it crashing down onto the ground.
lan's face turned grim. And, he didn't wait for Eren to strike. He imdiately threw his spear, clad in lightning, aiming it straight towards his head.
Eren didn't care to dodge it at all. He just proceeded to hack his axe onto the ground.
"Boom!"
The rocky ground imdiately cracked, and the cracks quickly spread towards the Tiger guy's feet.
"Splash!"
Water suddenly shot out of the cracks like a jet blasting the whole surface, and sent the tiger guy shooting into the air.
"Shnk!"
An arrow made of sharp compressed wind imdiately ca shooting towards the guy in air like a beam of laser, and his figure was imdiately engulfed in white light.
Terry let out a breath as he slowly let his bow down, and turned towards lan. There were small white particles in front of him as well, and a spear was on the floor near it.
Eren was gone as well.
