Chapter 538: A Ridiculous Thought
Max sat on his seat listening to the girl keep talking about Lear with an enthusiastic face. She really seed to be in it and was definitely enjoying it.
"I didn't ask for your na?" Max suddenly interrupted her. It was a way to stop as well as a thod to confirm if he actually knew her in so way or the other.
"My na is Lesia Rex, I am from Lear's Batch when he used to study in Ishtar. But I bet he doesn't rember though," The girl said with a sigh as if reminiscing the event about the past.
"I see," Max smiled at her. He had never heard of her na. Anyway, he opened the chat and just casually sent a ssage to Lear.
?Do you know soone called Lesia Rex??
?Lear: No, why do you ask??
?I just t so fan girl of yours, she says she was your batch mate back in Ishtar.?
?Lear: Is she beautiful? Describe her appearance a bit..?
Max obviously would suck at it with a blindfold on, so to go a bit in detail, he asked help from Andriel and with that managed to tell Lear about her approximate appearance.
?Lear: According to you, she is really beautiful, is sweet and cute. And has eye catching blue hairs..?
?Lear: Nope, I wouldn't have miss such a beauty even in the whole Ishtar much less in the Academy. Don't underestimate my ability as a trash back in those days. I needed to have a list of beauties to spew dirty jokes and irritate people and brag as well about having a thousand girlfriend..? He seed quite a bit proud of his achievent it seed.
?Then who in hell is she and why is she lying??
?Lear: No, idea. But you better be careful. I am going to calm myself now. We have the decisive battle to slay the commanding beast today..?
?All the best!?
?And yeah, you looked cool yesterday! They are calling you Lear the Brave over the Internet. You better not run away from the Commanding beast or all the fa you had will go down the drain..?
?Lear: — ?
?Lear: You serious??
?Yes I am.?
?Lear: Damn! This increases the pressure on ! I better succeed or I will be coming out today as well..?
With that Max closed the chat while looking at Lesia Rex which probably was just an alias because the girl was most definitely lying.
But why?
Max didn't think that there were much chances of her being so enemy. After all, it was a one day planned event of him coming to Trinity and only a few close and trusted people knew about it and not to ntion there was still the exact timing and seat number that even fewer among them were aware of.
So, the chances that soone had tracked him down and even managed to get an assassin in his adjacent seat was very low.
Max was sure that the girl didn't fake her initial surprised expression when she saw him and even now the shine in her eyes while talking about Lear didn't seem fake.
Now he was interested just who she was and the fact that she seed familiar got Max even curious about her identity.
So, he began to talk to her trying to see if he could figure anything out from her gestures. But his action didn't seat well with certain soone and it didn't seem that this certain soone was happy with Max's action.
"Is she your girlfriend?" Lesia suddenly asked forcing a smile on her face while feeling the piercing glare from behind.
Max's face twitched for a second but he was helpless here as well.
"She does seem interested in you," She further said before looking back and even smiled at them.
Janet forced a smile on her face while Elly still remained calm and just nodded.
Max really broke out in sweat at this girl's action, did she want to force him into a corner?
"She seems nice even though a bit static on her way of expressing herself towards strangers," Lesia said accurately pinning down Elly's characteristics.
Max was starting to see that the girl didn't seem like a normal person. After all, if you catch such an accurate details from a single observation then it ant that you had to have the eyes of an expert observer.
"I heard you were injured and would be withdrawing from the competitions?" She suddenly asked while looking at Max most likely observing him. It was hard to tell whether she managed to find anything from it though.
"Yeah, I got a bit of an issue," Max nodded.
"I don't understand one thing though?" She suddenly spoked.
Max looked at her asking her to go ahead.
"Why is Lear leading the team when you guys have stronger people in your ranks?"
'Hmmn? She seems oddly interested in Lear? Is she her ex or sothing? Or may be an unknown daughter?' Max shook his head inwardly, daughter wasn't possible as she was definitely older than Lear, so maybe mother was, but he even laughed at that thought.
'Who has such a young mother?'
But Max's thought suddenly slowed down before coming to stop as he seed to have rember sothing, but in the end shook his head, nah it wasn't possible.
But maybe…
?Your mother has blue hairs doesn't she??
?Lear: Yeah, why??
?This girl has blue hairs as well and keeps asking about you…?
?Lear: You don't an..?
?Yes… I think she is your.......elder sister!?
?Lear: I don't have one.?
?Are you sure they aren't hiding one from you?? Max asked knowing very well how ridiculous it sounded. But now that he thought about it, her facial structure indeed resembled a bit like Lear.
?Lear: What kind of ssed up logic is this? I don't have any sister!?
?Are you sure this is your mother's first marriage or she didn't have any child before??
?Lear: Do you want to kill you??
?Even you will doubt your eyes if you see her much less ..? Max really didn't know what to say.
?Then what? If she is not your sister, then don't tell she is your mother in person? Its not like she is coming along with us to Trinity to et you…? By the ti Max completed his sentence, even he was starting to doubt himself.
The script matched after all.
Lear and Arthur had a fight like that. It was obvious that her mother would be tensed after that wanting to see her two children.
?Lear: — ?
Until now, Max wasn't serious and had only brought it up half heartedly and half jokingly.
But now.....
?Nah, that's too ridiculous. Besides, she doesn't look like your mother at all I an.. I have seen her in pictures.?
But Lear for so reason wasn't replying.
