But it is said that this Ape Spirit, nad Yuan Hua, was originally a pet raised by the Green-haired True Master Liu Laogen during the Han Dynasty. Master Liu raised two ape monkeys, one black and one white, the white one being Yuan Hua.
Before Master Liu’s ascension, the Black Ape had been lent to the Heartless Zen Master of Tianzhu to guard his cave dwellings. Due to succumbing to greed, anger, and murderous vows, it fell back into the cycle of reincarnation, reincarnating several tis, and eventually reborn as an ape. It will later be admitted into Daoism as part of the Ei Sect, becoming the giant female ape Yuan Xing that Li Yingqiong would eventually ta on Mangcang Mountain.
This White Ape was impulsive and eager for quick success which led it into deviation, destroying its Vow Body and reincarnating as a human thrice. Master Liu tried to convert him twice, but failed due to his anger and delusion. By the ti of his third tribulation, Master Liu had already ascended to beco an immortal, and the White Ape was reborn as an ape again, only to die under the sword of Su Yin, the grand disciple of the great Zen Master You Tan. This ti, he did not reincarnate again but used his Primordial Spirit to beco a Ghost Immortal, planning to advance from being a Ghost Immortal to an Earth Immortal, and then cultivate into a Heavenly Immortal.
He usually cultivated at the peak of Mo Xiao Peak in Fujian’s Taishan, and although he was an ape with a ghostly body, he considered himself a senior of the Immortal Path. He loved to exchange swordsmanship techniques with others. Although he did not initiate evil, his anger was intense, and he would relentlessly retaliate against anyone who provoked him.
The Golden Flower Sect was widely known, and its Sect Hierarch, Zhong Ang, often perford "Miracles" for his followers by flying with his sword or unleashing the Flower Evil Divine Gang. Naturally, this caught the Ape Spirit’s attention who then sought to exchange sword techniques with him. After coming and going, they got to know each other. They were not particularly close, but the Ape Spirit was vain. Having newly refined a set of flying swords, he brought a young ape to Qingtian to exchange sword techniques with Zhong Ang. They coincidentally t Zhong Gan who had just had his fingers severed, fleeing in disgrace. After understanding the matter, Yuan Hua felt he could not ignore it and volunteered to kill Shi Feiyang for Zhong Ang.
Shi Feiyang saw him stretch out his simian paw, releasing dozens of azure lights that shot straight towards him. Shi Feiyang closely observed through his "Dragon Eye," and after inspecting, he couldn’t help but laugh.
This ape’s flying swords were not made from the Five Elents but were crafted from peach tree wood, aged over a hundred years from deep mountains, made into sword molds and then refined through sacrificial techniques, totaling forty-nine, a grand count in nurology.
Had he used this set of peach wood flying swords against others, with the grand count laying out a sword formation, he could’ve thrown his enemies into disarray. However, Shi Feiyang, who specialized in the study of nurical techniques, quickly saw through the underlying logic of the sword formation. He unleashed the White Light Sword, striking directly at the crucial point of the formation. In just a matter of breaths, with continuous flashing of white light and a successive cracking sound, Yuan Hua’s flying swords were broken one after another.
These flying swords, which Yuan Hua had spent years refining, were now continuously breaking, causing him imnse heartache and fury. He screeched in anger and quickly recalled his flying swords. He then released twenty wooden pellets, transforming them into twenty clusters of bowl-sized azure lights, like the innards of a demonic beast, launching them at Shi Feiyang along with the flying swords in a chaotic flight filling the sky.
As he engaged in a swordfight with Shi Feiyang in the sky, the young ape he had brought along saw this and wanted to help. It opened its mouth and sprayed out a string of prayer beads, made from the kernels of wild hairy peaches and rubbed with its two paws while muttering words. All of a sudden, it hurled the bead string, transforming it into twenty-four points of red light attacking Shi Feiyang from below.
anwhile, the Magistrate had been watching their swordfight from below all this ti, and the boy next to him also gazed with clear and sharp eyes, his expression alternating between joy and concern. Seeing the young ape casting from the rooftop, he frowned, pursed his lips, quietly left the crowd, maneuvered into a corner at the right angle, and from his pocket, he pulled out three Copper Coins, holding one in his left hand and striking first.
The first Copper Coin shot straight towards the young ape, striking the back of its head with a "clunk," causing the ape imnse pain as it clutched its head, screeching in confusion. As it turned around, two more coins struck, hitting right in its eyes, instantly bursting the eyeballs and causing blood to flow profusely.
The ape let out a piercing scream as it tumbled from the roof to the ground. The boy picked up another clay brick and, channeling his inner force, smashed it down, striking the ape’s head and instantly fracturing its skull, causing it to fall to the ground dead.
High above, Yuan Hua was dueling with Shi Feiyang, their Flying Swords and Magical Treasures repeatedly thwarted. Treasures he had painstakingly cultivated over the years were being destroyed one by one, and even his Spells were being countered. Frustrated and infuriated, he heard the ape’s scream and looked down to see this scene, anger making his smoke rise threefold; he transford into a trail of black smoke and swooped down. He first picked up the body of the ape and, seeing it could not survive, scratched his head frantically and let out a sharp scream before once again lunging towards the boy on the roof.
The boy turned and rolled down the slope of the roof to dodge, but he couldn’t match the Ape Spirit’s superior powers of Flying Escape. In an instant, the Ape Spirit was in front of him, about to grab him and tear him to pieces.
Shi Feiyang was about to cast a spell to stop Yuan Hua when he suddenly saw the Magistrate, hand signs the Sword technique, pointing in their direction, releasing a green Flying Sword aid directly at Yuan Hua’s head!
This caught him completely off guard; just a few days ago, he had encountered a Sword Immortal serving as a General, and now there was a Sword Immortal Magistrate here – the Great Ming Dynasty was indeed full of hidden dragons and crouching tigers...
He did not chase after Yuan Hua but instead sent his Flying Sword after Zhong Gan. Zhong Gan had already been fleeing seeing Yuan Hua’s weakened state, and was now a hundred miles away. Shi Feiyang caught up to him from behind, and with no room left to struggle or resist, a flash of light severed him in two.
Having killed Zhong Gan, he returned to Qingtian County, where Yuan Hua was still dueling with the Magistrate. Yuan Hua’s peach wood flying sword was down to seven, and several powerful Magical Treasures had just been destroyed. He was evenly matched with the Magistrate’s streak of green sword light, and his impatient nature ant he could not achieve a quick victory, which only made him more irritated as he scratched his head and cursed loudly.
Shi Feiyang flew back, releasing the White Light Sword to form a circle trapping Yuan Hua inside. From above, he said loudly, "You Ape Spirit, I have no grievances or enmity with you. What life-or-death connection do you have with the Sect Hierarch of the Golden Flower to risk your life for him? I have already shown you rcy. Do not act ungratefully. Wisely go back to where you ca from and pretend nothing happened. Otherwise, if you persist, I shall be your doom!"
Yuan Hua was so angry he gnashed his teeth, his eyes literally bursting into flas of orange-yellow, and he shrieked at a high pitch, "Who do you think you are to speak to like that? Just you wait and see how I’ll kill you!" With that, he unified the Seven Swords into one and threw his whole being at him. Lacking a physical body, his Primordial Spirit rged into the sword, turning into a giant wooden sword several tens of feet long, covered with Talismans and emanating a dark and sinister aura. With one blow, he broke through the White Rainbow Sword Circle and soared into the sky, heading southeast towards Fujian, his voice carrying from afar, "You all wait for ; in three days, I’ll co to send you on your way!"
Shi Feiyang pursued with his sword and, in an instant, reached a hundred miles away. His White Light Sword turned into a long rainbow that entangled and shattered the wooden sword, exploding it into a large mass of black flas. These flas, like burning black oil, flew around, shrouding his entire body. Shi Feiyang, controlling his sword, broke through the flas and returned to Qingtian County.
The Magistrate had already retracted his Flying Sword and, looking worried, ca to ask, "Senior, did you manage to slay that Ape Spirit?"
Shi Feiyang shook his head, "He deceived with his Divine Splitting. Had it not been for the quality of my Flying Sword, if his Yin Fire had touched , it would have taken so effort to extinguish it."
Upon hearing this, the Magistrate’s face filled with worry, and he invited Shi Feiyang to rest at the County Governnt.
