A beam of Buddha Light descended and landed in front of Xie Shan, dispersing the golden light to reveal four people.

At the forefront was Xin Ru Nun, accompanied by a Taoist with an immortal deanor and three strands of long black whiskers. In the Taoist’s arms were two girls, his own daughters Xie Ying and Xie Lin.

Xie Shan looked at his two daughters, motionless in the Taoist’s arms, and was greatly alard: "This is... this is..."

Xin Ru Nun asked the Taoist to return the girls to Xie Shan and said to him: "Brother, do not panic. Your two nieces are not in mortal danger; I have already given them elixir, and they will awaken shortly."

Xie Shan saw that his daughters were indeed rely unconscious, finally let out a breath, and asked the reason.

Xin Ru Nun sighed deeply: "The two of them were determined to kill that Evil Dragon Shi Feiyang. They ran to Yitian Cliff Dragon Elephant Temple to steal the Conch Leaf Talisman, intending to reverse ti and return to when the Evil Dragon was still within Dinghu Peak, to slay it in advance and prevent future calamities."

"Ah?" Xie Shan was so shocked he was nearly speechless, deeply pained, "These two obstinate ones! How could they possibly achieve such a thing with their minor Dao Level!"

"Exactly!" Xin Ru Nun’s face was full of sorrow, "They did not think about how many years must be traversed to return from now to that ti, nor how many people’s karma would be involved. Not to ntion them, even if you and I, combined with Brother Tian ng and Sister Fen Tuo, would still be unable to accomplish it. Yet they, relying on the limitless power of the Seven Treasures Golden Banner, after stealing the Talisman, feared being caught by Sister Fen Tuo and having the Talisman reclaid,

they hastily found a mountain peak to begin casting. Without the necessary power and preparation, they naturally failed, not only being unsuccessful but also suffering a rebound! Actually, the Conch Leaf Talisman is a priceless treasure of Buddhism, the purest and most peaceful, which even if used ineffectively, wouldn’t normally result in such a backlash. This all arose because their delusions were too grand; it wasn’t the Talisman’s backlash, but rather they backfired on themselves, falling into an Illusion Realm derived from their own delusional mind!"

Xie Shan, having top-tier understanding of Buddhist Law, imdiately grasped the aning of Master Fen Tuo’s words.

Xie Ying and Xie Lin were not hard by the backlash of the Conch Leaf Talisman, but rather fell into an illusion created by their own delusions. In simple terms, the two girls entered an illusion where they returned to the past when Shi Feiyang was the Black Dragon inside Dinghu Peak; after they confird it, they went to slay the Black Dragon... They believed they had truly reversed ti through the Conch Leaf Talisman, but it was rely a dreamscape.

And since it was an Illusion Realm born from delusional thoughts, it was inevitably filled with the eight kinds of suffering: birth, aging, illness, death, separation from loved ones, association with the hated, unfulfilled desires, etc.

They returned to the past, the tiline shifted back to their forr power level with their current mories intact, assuming they could casually kill because of the demon-suppressing techniques mastered from the "Demonic Destruction Treasure Record" in conjunction with their past power.

However, knowing Yue Qinyin was evil, they killed her first. Shi Feiyang saved the captured children and returned them to the village, earning the villagers’ affection. In another fortuitous showdown, the Black Dragon escaped, leaving the villagers with a parting lesson—not to establish a temple for the Xie Family but to proclaim Xie Shan and the two daughters as Evil Gods, instructing them to curse instead.

Using the simplest of thods, such as crafting scarecrows or paper dolls with the nas of Xie Shan and his daughters, then piercing them with needles, boiling, frying, or dunking them in latrines... These were unorthodox ans recorded in the "Heavenly Book Supplent"; if it were just one or two people, it would not affect the Xie Family trio, but it spread widely among the villagers along with horrifying folklore like "Three Evil Gods harm the Dragon King," and "Double-faced Female Demon eats fetal flesh."

The Xie Family trio beca fearso demons cursed by many, yet so few unscrupulous individuals secretly perford sacrificial rites.

The outco for the family of three was even worse than when they were revered as divine beings; with a small misstep, they could end up in Hell...

The Xie sisters chased Shi Feiyang to the East Sea, then to the North Sea, encountering Zhuge Jingwo, Lady Treasure Sign, Geng Peng, Ancestor Xin Kong, and others along the way. Through more strange coincidences, the Black Dragon, slipperier than an eel, managed to escape at the most unlikely monts, and they pursued relentlessly.

At this very mont, they were still in the dream pursuing the Black Dragon.

"Fortunately, I encountered them halfway and found them lying atop the mountain peak, and managed to rescue them back." Xin Ru Nun handed the daughters back to Xie Shan, advising him to take good care of them, "It won’t be long before they should awaken, though... their obsessions are too deep, the illusions weigh too heavily, and if necessary, you may need to enter their Illusion Realm yourself to awaken and bring them out."

Xie Shan nodded, thanking Xin Ru Nun for saving the girls and personally bringing them back.

Looking at the Taoist in black clothes beside them, Xie Shan noticed an unusual gaze, his divine energy and spirit seed disconnected, as if his body had been forcibly possessed.

But since he ca alongside Xin Ru Nun, with her Divine Power, she surely would be aware; thus, there was no need for him to display his limited skill.

Xin Ru Nun had other pressing matters and quickly departed with the black-clothed Taoist after instructing Xie Shan with a few words.

Watching his two daughters still in a deep sleep, Xie Shan let out a long sigh, casting to carry them to a nearby mountain, and found a secluded flat land.

He first checked the condition of the daughters; indeed, deeply trapped in the illusion, unable to extricate themselves, particularly Xie Lin, whose obsession was the deepest and situation most severe. He then entered his Primordial Spirit, venturing into Xie Lin’s illusion.

Events within the illusion, though different from reality, followed another divergent path; yet, due to rewoven causality, not only did things not improve, they worsened even more.

Ard with knowledge from the "Demonic Destruction Treasure Record" in advance, Xie Ying and Xie Lin pursued the Black Dragon from the East Sea to the North Sea, and further from the North Sea to the West Sea, the more they pursued, the angrier they grew, and the fiercer their attacks, in the end resorting to mass slaughter!

The spells recorded in the Demonic Destruction Treasure Record were increasingly powerful. With their fury and bloodlust kindled, the two won first gave warnings in the East Sea, advising not to provoke them. When the warning was ignored, they showed no rcy and killed. Upon reaching the North Sea, anyone siding with the Black Dragon t their demise, and by the ti they reached the West Sea, every evil demon and strange creature they disapproved of was slapped to death - even entire groups were annihilated with a single strike!

By the ti Xie Shan arrived, the Black Dragon had already joined the West Pole Sect, swallowed Mystics Yin True Water, and was jointly attacking the two won with six Elders.

No matter how powerful the Xie sisters were, they couldn’t withstand the siege of six undying beings. Besieged in a mountain crevice and relentlessly attacked by spells, they were tornted, with burnt hair and tattered clothes, imminent calamity looming. Seeing Xie Shan, they cried out loudly, "Father, please save your daughters!"

Seeing his two daughters bullied to such a wretched state, Xie Shan’s patience wore thin, and he imdiately took action...

If only he kept a Pure Heart, he could have entered to awaken the two won; a single exposure to the Buddha Light would allow the three to escape the illusion.

But upon seeing his daughters’ clothes torn and charred by Evil Fire, his heart ached violently, ultimately dragging himself into it as well!

Within Xie Lin’s illusion, the father and daughters waged a battle so fierce it shattered mountains and split the earth, leaving countless murder karma in their wake. Xie Lin was swallowed by the Black Dragon, who then spewed the Mystics Yin True Water he’d just ingested, consuming it once more midair.

Xie Shan’s eyes nearly burst from their sockets; he risked everything to pursue the Black Dragon, who burrowed underground and escaped through a seafloor volcanic vent. With Mystics Yin True Water protecting him, the Black Dragon blasted through lava and drilled along the Earth Veins to Moqiu Island’s Lizhu Palace.

His hatred for Shi Feiyang was imnse; whether real or illusion, had it not been for Senior Brother Tian ng restraining him, he would have fought Shi Feiyang to the death ages ago. Now was the perfect chance to unleash his anger, accumulated over a hundred years. In a killing spree, he slaughtered many at Lizhu Palace, drawing in Shaoyang God Monarch and Elder Cang Xu into the fray...

He too was deeply entrenched in the illusion, unable to extricate himself. Along with his daughters, their murder karma grew heavier and heavier. With no Tian ng Zen Master to hold him back, events unfolded to the point where Shi Feiyang was loafing under Geng Kun’s command. Provoking the West Pole Sect’s six Elders, Shaoyang God Monarch, and Elder Cang Xu, they engaged in a life-and-death battle, ultimately trapped together, on the brink of being destroyed both in body and spirit...

At that critical mont, a huge mass of Buddha Light suddenly appeared in the sky. Within it, a female nun appeared, Bodhisattva-like, and said in a clear voice, "Brother Xie! The sea of bitterness is boundless; turn back, and you will find salvation. Lay down the butcher’s knife and beco a Buddha instantly! Namo Amitabha Buddha!"

The Buddha Light shone directly upon them. Xie Shan’s mind was suddenly illumined; he awakened: Ah, this is the illusion of my daughters, I ca to awaken them...

In the next instant, his Primordial Spirit returned to his body. Awake, he opened his eyes to see a nun standing before him—it was Master Fen Tuo.

Master Fen Tuo was no longer her usual calm and composed self; instead, urgency was written all over her face. She asked Xie Shan, "Have you seen Xin Ruyu?"

Xie Shan was montarily stunned; it was the first ti he’d seen Master Fen Tuo like this, and she unceremoniously referred to Xin Ru Nun by her secular na, "Earlier, Sister Xin Ru arrived here, and brought the sisters with her..."

"Where is she now?"

Xie Shan pointed east. "She went in that direction."

Master Fen Tuo hastily calculated with her fingers, peering around with her Wisdom Eye.

Urgently, Xie Shan asked what had happened.

Master Fen Tuo hesitated before finally speaking, "She tricked the two sisters, and while I was in seclusion, they stole the Conch Leaf Talisman!"

"What?" Xie Shan was incredulous, "They... Xin Ru Nun said they intended to steal the Conch Leaf Talisman, secretly casting spells to trace back ti to kill the Evil Dragon at Dinghu Peak..."

He recounted what Xin Ru Nun had told him previously.

"Alas!" Master Fen Tuo sighed and shook her head.

In recent days, as Chi You descended south into the pass, she had calculated that Chi You had several potent strategies. Shi Feiyang and the world’s immortals could not resist him. If necessary, she would have to step in, thus she went into seclusion for careful preparation and observation, preparing to intervene against Chi You.

"How could they alone manage to steal the Talisman from ? It was because Xin Ruyu secretly aided them, obstructing the light of my mind, letting them succeed!"

"Xin Ru Nun, she..."

"What Xin Ru Nun, hmph!" Master Fen Tuo was indignant, nearly cursing aloud, "The Conch Leaf Talisman, which I kept on , was taken particularly when she ca to Dragon Elephant Temple, rambling on initially about Zhu Youmu, then transitioned to this. She said the Talisman could only be used three tis, and it was too wasteful. She suggested placing it in a rit-generating item to accumulate cultivation through daily replenishnt, thus increasing its power. Once the rit accumulated sufficiently, its usage frequency could increase. I thought it made sense and placed the Talisman in the wooden fish I use for normal cultivation, and then she left. I was already burdened by my failure to help Zhu Youmu earlier and was preoccupied with the Chi You affair. For a mont, I was unwary, and..."
