Geng Kun and Hagenib had both co to kill Tie San, but ended up fighting each other over an Iron Umbrella. Initially, they still directed their main force at Tie San, rely exchanging minor stabs at each other. Eventually they sparked True Fire and disregarded Tie San altogether, concentrating their full force on attacking one another.
Shi Feiyang, unconcerned with anything else, simply attacked whover Geng Kun was attacking. When Geng Kun attacked Hagenib, he too unleashed a fury of Dan Fire upon the mighty Dharma King.
Upon seeing this, the Shaolin monks tried to seize the opportunity to take Tie San away.
Tie San, deeply demonized, bled from all seven orifices and attacked every target he could see.
Zen Master Yuan Guo chanted the Buddha’s na loudly and, along with eighteen Arhats, threw Buddha Beads from their left hands. The beads scattered in mid-air, striking the acupoints on Tie San’s body, interconnected and tightly bound him in a pattern like a trussed up flower, then sealed him. They then released Buddha Light to cover him and forcibly took him away towards the west.
Geng Kun and Hagenib roared in anger upon seeing this and attacked together, sending seventy-two Divine Feather Golden Feather Arrows and the Vajra Devil Subduing Pestle flying at once.
Abbot Yuan Guo, leading the eighteen Arhats, intercepted with Dharma Swords, and a noisy clash ensued.
The Shaolin monks’ swordsmanship was limited and could not withstand the assault, hastily releasing Buddha chants and Buddha Light in a desperate defense.
Amidst the battle, Tie San suddenly roared, scattering the restraining Buddha Beads and lunging again at Hagenib. His Primordial Spirit had been completely controlled by Hagenib’s Five Elents Yin Demon. Eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body, all he could see, hear, sll, and touch were illusions created by the Yin Demon.
Originally, while under the restraint of the Buddha beads and Buddha Light, he was still able to maintain his presence, and Hagenib could not harm him. But having escaped his bonds and thus losing protection, Hagenib ford a hand seal and cast spells, unleashing six Great Handprints. Tie San’s Primordial Spirit floated away from his body, which fell into the sea, while his spirit was captured through the Secret Demon Great Technique.
Abbot Yuan Guo, upon seeing this, could only sigh helplessly and, with a wave of his hand, stood together with the eighteen Arhats on a golden cloud that soared into the sky.
Hagenib, now that he had captured Tie San, intended to turn him into a Divine Demon, condemning him to never transcend. Satisfied with his gains, he also took Tie San’s Heavenly Conjunction Plague Sand, combining it with his own Demon Fire Poison Sand and storing it in a bowl.
Geng Kun, after a busy ordeal, managed only to seize seven Asura Blood Transformation Swords.
There was no point in continuing the fight. Hagenib threw down a harsh line, "I’m going back to cast spells and refine demons; I have no ti to keep tangling with you here. If you are not convinced, co find at the Himalayas, and we can fight again to determine the victor!" As he spoke, the Lotus Platform under him swiftly retreated into the western horizon, leaving him over a hundred miles away before his speech even concluded.
Although Geng Kun was indignant, the overall objectives of his mission were essentially achieved—Tie San might not have been utterly destroyed in body and soul, but his tribulation had failed, his Primordial Spirit was captured by the Demon Monk, and he would inevitably be turned into a demon, suffering the tornts of Soul Refinent, with no good end in sight. The most powerful Iron Umbrella had already been taken back to Roc Bay by Xiang Ji. In terms of dueling with Hagenib, he hadn’t lost out either, having killed one of his disciples—it could even be considered a gain.
He too didn’t tangle further, taking Shi Feiyang back around to Roc Bay.
Upon arrival, he asked Xiang Ji for the umbrella, only to discover Xiang Ji’s body was destroyed, leaving only his Primordial Spirit, and the umbrella had been snatched away by an unknown young man.
"Who is this vile thief that dares to steal my gains!" Geng Kun raged, unable to restrain himself. Taking Xiang Ji with him, he flew out into the expanse between Heaven and Sea, centering on the place where the incident had occurred, and searched within a radius of thousands of miles.
He naturally couldn’t find it, so he wildly fired Divine Feather Golden Feather Arrows aimlessly, shooting them into the sea and killing countless innocent mbers of the Water Clan such as whales, turtles, sharks, and dolphins.
He still wouldn’t give up and upon returning, he ticulously calculated several outcos using Chi You’s Three Secret Techniques. He followed these leads, but all attempts were in vain, infuriating him enough to shatter several reefs.
In the end, as he couldn’t find it, he had no choice but to give up.
The seven Asura Blood Transformation Swords of the Iron Umbrella Taoist were refined from the essence extracted from undersea cold iron. Geng Kun didn’t value them; they were pitch-black, how could they compare to his own golden feathers, both beautiful and powerful? Yet abandoning them felt like wasting a powerful Flying Sword, akin to a chicken rib—unappetizing to eat but a pity to waste.
Eventually, it was Xiang Ji who ca up with an idea.
Xiang Ji failed to seize the treasure umbrella, drawing scorn from Geng Kun; he was almost shredded and devoured by him. Thanks to Xiang Ji’s bitter begging, combined with Su Nanyi and Shi Feiyang pleading on his behalf, his life was spared, and he was placed inside the body of a sea bird, barely clinging to life.
Xiang Ji suggested to Geng Kun to refine the seven swords into seven iron feathers for Su Nanyi to use.
Su Nanyi descended from a Crow Demon and a human, thus being half-human, half-demon, and possessing wings with glossy pitch-black feathers. Officially, Geng Kun was Su Nanyi’s master, but he had long harbored affection for her, and their relationship was well known among all the demons in Roc Bay.
After hearing Xiang Ji’s suggestion, Geng Kun thought it was excellent, so he went out to find materials to forge the swords into iron feathers that could be attached to her wings.
While he was busy refining swords and wooing girls, Shi Feiyang hid in an underwater spherical cave to refine his newly acquired Iron Umbrella.
This umbrella was handed down by the founder of the Iron Umbrella Sect, which was nad between the two Song dynasties in Central Earth and was originally a mundane sect of Jianghu. Later, a founder coincidentally saved a Sword Immortal and was taught swordsmanship. Following that, the sect ceased its mundane developnt and began searching for opportunities to ascend to the ranks of Immortal Sects. Though the pathway of cultivation was perilous with many unexpected hardships, and it was challenging to recruit disciples widely, the lineage of the Iron Umbrella Taoist remained sparse.
The Iron Umbrella, forged from millennium-old undersea cold iron and supplented with Taiyin Gold Essence, consisted of eighteen segnts—nine Yin and nine Yang, with talismanic engravings nurtured and refined by the essence of Gui Water and Dan Qi from successive generations of sect masters. While the umbrella itself was valuable, what made it truly priceless was the years of nurturing and sacrificial refinent. Crafting another umbrella with the sa materials and techniques would yield sothing far inferior, akin to comparing a barnyard fowl to a phoenix.
Having fully understood the sacrificial refinent techniques imbued in the umbrella, Shi Feiyang looked down upon the artifact refining thods of the Iron Umbrella Sect. Before the establishnt of the Ei Sect, Master Changi had three elders who laid the groundwork for him, known as the Three Elders of Ei, among them was Master Lianshan.
