Ni Lanxin, as the only heir to the great Lady Tianyao, although she entered the Dao later in life, her natural beauty and unusual physique, which emitted a fragrant scent, made her cultivation of Lady Tianyao’s cultivation technique twice as effective with half the effort.
Originally, when she was caught by the Red Fla Divine Monarch Bing Rong on Zhongtiao Mountain, she did not suffer but instead absorbed a significant amount of Bing Rong’s essence energy.
Over the years, her powers had grown trendously, earning her a "quite famous" reputation among the unprincipled fringe circles of the world.
In the original story, she had sequentially followed the traitor Zhu Hong from the Wutai Sect, the Green Robe Ancestor, and Evil Corpse Gu Chen.
Now, as fate would have it, she returned to Wangwu Mountain to find her master. Once she arrived, she was captured by Gu Chen, who forcibly bestowed upon her the highest level of reward in this world.
Originally, Ni Lanxin was to follow in her master’s footsteps, but on her way back to the mountain this ti, she encountered Lu Yu.
Lu Yu did not reveal herself, but rely set up an illusion in the wilderness.
Ni Lanxin thought it was a rare adventure, mistaking it for the ancient cave dwelling of an immortal. She saw the incense burner in the cave still smoking, and the fragrance of the Dan Qi was intense.
She opened the Pill Furnace, saw a single Immortal Pill inside, ate it, and upon leaving the cave and looking back, found nothing but desolate rocky mountains, as if everything had been an illusion.
It was because of this Immortal Pill that, after a fierce battle lasting eight days and nights, Ni Lanxin was not killed by Gu Chen’s reward, and instead, using the imnsely powerful Transforming Vajra Soul-shattering Great Technique, she siphoned Gu Chen’s True Yang but could not control herself, losing her True Yin and conceiving a child in her womb, unseen.
At the mont True Yang was lost, Gu Chen suddenly realized, cried out in alarm, quickly withdrew, and stared fixedly at Ni Lanxin.
Ni Lanxin herself was also bewildered, staring at Gu Chen, not quite believing: I captured this man’s True Yang! I captured this man’s True Yang!
Today, the teacher and disciple of Gu Chen, always hunting geese, were pecked in the eye by a goose, stunned for a few seconds, then roared in anger and was about to pounce on Ni Lanxin and tear her apart.
Suddenly, a burst of cyan light erupted from Ni Lanxin’s body, lifting her and flying her towards the cave entrance, while a hairpin flew in and blocked all of Gu Chen’s attacks.
Gu Chen recognized it as Lu Yu’s Star Absorption Divine Hairpin and was both shocked and furious.
Whether it was the Sky Lusting Sect Leader or Evil Corpse Gu Chen, they were all old acquaintances with Lu Yu. The Sky Lusting Sect Leader didn’t think much of Lu Yu, and Gu Chen had been at odds with Lu Yu and Elder Kuzhu for many years; enemies on sight intensified each other’s anger, and he rushed out to duel with Lu Yu.
Now, Gu Chen was naturally no match for Lu Yu; only a part of the Sky Lusting Sect Leader’s Primordial Spirit had rged with him, and it had not even fully integrated yet, so he was unable to trouble Lu Yu at all.
Lu Yu took Ni Lanxin away and arrived at a wealthy household in the Human World that had been scouted in advance.
The household’s surna was Shi. While the master of the house was out, Lu Yu brought Ni Lanxin to him, "Offering her as a concubine, want her?"
Master Shi Wenbing, seeing that Ni Lanxin was originally stunningly beautiful, now disheveled and with fear and alarm on her face, imdiately could not restrain his heart and wanted to buy her.
Lu Yu received twenty taels of silver from him, sold Ni Lanxin to him, and before leaving told Ni Lanxin, "The child you carry is a crucial individual. If you can allow him to be born successfully and raise him well, even if you stir up great trouble later, there will be salvation.
Thus, because this is so significant, I’ve sealed your Mana, allowing you to live as a true mortal here, to properly nurture the fetus. During this ti, many people will co looking for you. You must not reveal yourself, stay hidden in the Shi Family, just waiting for the child to be born, and then I will co for you. If the child does not survive, I will flay and dismber you, refine your soul and obliterate your spirit, and make you live as a beast for five hundred lifetis!"
Ni Lanxin did not know the other party was Lu Yu, but to be handled so effortlessly, truly unfathomable, was absolutely terrifying.
She dared not resist and could only obediently comply.
The master of the Shi Family took her back and deeply doted on her, rewarding her daily, and soon, she beca "pregnant."
The lady of the house, furious, tornted her in various ways.
With her Mana completely gone and carrying a child, Ni Lanxin endured agonizing tornt, and several tis, nearly miscarried.
Unable to bear the frequent punishnts of kneeling, whipping, and starvation, she thought although she couldn’t use spells, she could teach them to others.
So, she taught the maid Xiaochan cultivation techniques, had Xiaochan enchant the master, draw fire, and cast spells to secretly harm the lady of the house.
Before long, she had the lady twisted in facial features, paralyzed on one side, incontinent, lying in bed unable to walk.
She thought she had succeeded, but in reality, she had revealed her whereabouts.
Grandmaster Ha Ha, who had originally been calculating the whereabouts of Elder Kuzhu everywhere, failed to find him due to Lu Yu’s concealing thods, but now finally saw the true Gua Xiang.
He did not take action personally, staying hidden to block Lu Yu, and sent his disciples, Huang Yun Arhat and Red Fla Arhat, to kill the unborn child and mother and capture Elder Kuzhu’s Primordial Spirit.
Shi Feiyang originally had not expected Lu Yu to be so harmful, having found such a father in Evil Corpse Gu Chen for Elder Kuzhu, and a mother like the soul-chasing Ni Lanxin...
Just a few days before the child was to be born, a nun ca to the Shi Family.
His hair wasn’t cleanly shaved, with a lot of black and white stubble still showing. He wore a black monk’s robe and a long string of Buddha beads around his neck, with a shorter string in his hand that looked sowhat dirty. With his decrepit appearance, he didn’t seem like a highly accomplished spiritual master.
She ca to the door and introduced herself with the Dharma na Xin Ru, saying, "Esteed young master, in your previous life you practiced Buddhism and were destined to have a connection with Buddha. After reincarnation, you were ant to join the monastery. I have co here to guide you."
She added, "He is destined in this life to go through many trials and tribulations. If he does not beco a monk, he won’t grow up, and might not even survive infancy!"
Upon hearing this, the Shi family thought, I am already so old, with neither children nor grandchildren, and finally, I have a child. And now you want him to beco a monk?
They had soone sweep the person out with a broom.
The next day, two monks arrived, tall and broad, their voices like temple bells, their skin radiating golden light from within, claiming to be two Arhats.
They didn’t say that the child was connected to them, but ntioned that in his past life he was a benevolent person for nine lifetis and should be protected by the gods and Buddha. Unfortunately, a demon was after him, so they had co to protect him.
These two were naturally disciples of Grandmaster Ha Ha. Shi Wenbing, happy with their blessings, invited them into the mansion and prepared an excellent al of vegetarian dishes and drinks.
That evening, they stayed over at the Shi residence.
Both were Sect Leader level masters. During the night, their Primordial Spirits left their bodies to et Ni Lanxin. Ni Lanxin didn’t recognize them, but she knew of their reputation and was terrified.
The Arhat Huang Yun told her, "My master needs to cultivate the Twelve Heavenly Earth-protecting Spirit-killing Technique and requires twelve Daoist Primordial Spirits with over a thousand years of cultivation. This Elder Kuzhu is perfect..."
Suddenly hearing these terms, Ni Lanxin shuddered, "The one I’m carrying... is Elder Kuzhu? The one from the legendary duo of the great wilderness?"
"Exactly!"
Only then did Ni Lanxin realize that she had beco entangled in a power struggle among powerful beings and was at the very heart of it!
Terrified, she cried out, "What are you going to do? Do you need this Primordial Spirit? Then take it quickly..."
Arhat Huang Yun smiled, "No rush, no rush. My master needs you to carry him in your womb for ten months, nourish him well, and at the ti of birth, refine both his body and Primordial Spirit together. You need to focus on keeping the fetus safe and sound; there can be no mishaps before that!"
Ni Lanxin felt utterly miserable and extrely fearful, not daring to resist nor able to resist.
Then, another person visited the manor, this ti it was Daoist Huang Zhong.
Ni Lanxin did not recognize Lu Yu, nor did she know that she carried Elder Kuzhu, sealed and confined here by a Prohibition Technique, so she sought help.
Unable to leave the mansion herself, she used various thods to instruct the servants to go out and find people for her, with Daoist Huang Zhong being the most important.
Daoist Huang Zhong, known through his ties with Shi Feiyang and his master Lady Tianyao for the incense that brought them together, had supported each other’s cultivation over the years, breaking through their previous limits.
Though they later parted ways, they still maintained a certain affection similar to that of a married couple. If one encountered trouble, no matter the distance, the other would rush to their rescue.
The last ti Ni Lanxin was captured by Bing Rong of Zhongtiao Mountain, Daoist Huang Zhong had unstintingly rushed to her aid.
However, being a Sword Immortal, Daoist Huang Zhong’s whereabouts were unpredictable. He had opened a new cave dwelling in the Golden Light Cave of Big Ma Mountain and didn’t always stay in Pipa Village in Jiangsu. It took the servant several months to find him.
Upon learning that Ni Lanxin’s Mana had been sealed and she was trapped in the human world, Daoist Huang Zhong imdiately set out with his Flying Sword Magical Treasure.
Daoist Huang Zhong looked wan and sickly, like a consumptive ghost. However, dressed in a grey Daoist robe, with a lantern tassel around his waist, and carrying a treasure sword on his back, his vitality did not seem that of a re mortal.
When the Shi family asked what he wanted, he didn’t reply but walked directly inside. The Shi family attempted to stop him, but with a wave of his hand, he generated a Gang Wind that tossed everything around the courtyard into chaos.
Sensing soone’s arrival, Grandmaster Ha Ha’s two disciples ca out to et him and stopped him at the inner courtyard gate.
With centuries of Dao cultivation, Daoist Huang Zhong recognized the two, "Why are my fellow Daoists here?"
Arhat Huang Yun, with a forced smile, said, "Do we need to report to you why we are here? This courtyard is now our brotherly terrain for cultivation. Outsiders are not allowed; please leave imdiately!"
Daoist Huang Zhong said, "I have a foster daughter here, and I’ve co to take her away. Once I find her, I shall leave with her."
"Absurd!" Red Fla Arhat said, "Didn’t you understand what I said? Leave imdiately, or I will take your life!"
Knowing that Daoist Huang Zhong was also a renowned Sword Immortal and not an opponent to be underestimated, Arhat Huang Yun cald his impetuous disciple and asked, "Is your foster daughter the Soul-chasing Lady Ni Lanxin?"
"Exactly!" Daoist Huang Zhong’s voice also deepened, "She sent soone to inform that her Mana had been sealed and she was trapped here. Are you the ones behind this?"
Red Fla Arhat coldly said, "What if it was us?"
Daoist Huang Zhong angrily said, "What has my foster daughter done to offend you both? Why would you tornt her in this way? How is she now?"
