Yue Yun’s identity was truly special, his master was Master Lianshan of the Ei’s three elders, strictly speaking, a peer of Master Changi, with the two other immortals calling him Uncle Master.
However, he was taken in by Master Lianshan during external transmission and was not an official disciple but a registered disciple, tantamount to being a formal disciple’s subordinate, far inferior to the direct disciples of the Ei Sect.
In his past dealings with the three immortals of the East Sea, he never dared to assu the role of an elder; they were always addressed as peers and fellow Daoists. This ti, his return to the Ei Sect to acknowledge his ancestry still needed Qi Shuming’s approval as the Sect Leader.
Now, with Qi Shuming in closed-door cultivation, Xun Lanyin took him to first pay respects to the spiritual positions of the three elders of Ei, followed by Master Changi and Master Crystal. At this point, he was considered a junior, a later entrant, addressing Xun Lanyin and others as senior sisters, while others addressed him as junior brother.
Looking at the arrangent in the shrine, Shi Feiyang calmly offered incense.
He had transford into Yue Yun using the "72 Transformations of Earth Evil," a skill he had developed based on the Heavenly Number’s Gua Xiang.
Not to ntion that these Ei elders had already ascended, even if he now went to the Spiritual Space Immortal Realm and t these people, they might not recognize him as an imposter.
Since he was not rely morphed in illusion, his body was completely identical to Yue Yun’s.
Like Sun Wukong, who still had a red butt and managed to fool the immortals in heaven, Shi Feiyang, now a complete replica of Yue Yun from head to toe, inside and out, was theoretically even more convincing.
The Spiritual Space Immortal Realm and the Lower Realm are like two different worlds; although not as profoundly separated as the Shushan World and Earth, they are also considered separate in the realm of the Heavens, and celestial beings do not constantly monitor the Lower Realm.
Moreover, even if they indeed discovered that Shi Feiyang was an imposter, they would have no way to quickly inform Qi Shuming and others.
Thus, Shi Feiyang offered his incense with rightful confidence, calm and composed.
In the Shushan World, there were no thods to change one’s physical form, only spells for illusion, and Divine Demons could morph into handso n and beautiful won, but true cultivators could easily distinguish them.
There was also Blood God Child Deng Yin, who, after cultivating the Blood God Scripture, had to specifically cultivate the Blood Shadow Divine Skill, refining his body into a Blood Shadow to pounce on people, snatch their physical bodies, and deceive those close to them.
But this was essentially possession, not a technique of transformation.
Since this world originally lacked the art of transformation, even soone as astute as Xun Lanyin would never suspect it.
They could detect no flaws unless they calculated using divinations, but Shi Feiyang had already concealed Heaven’s Secret and altered the Heavenly Number when he arrived.
If the elder immortals earnestly calculated and got a result, they could see it was tampered with by soone, but they couldn’t know what the actual Heavenly Number was.
Since Shi Feiyang’s arrival was rational and legitimate, they had no reason to doubt nor consider divination.
Thus, Shi Feiyang smoothly joined the Ei Sect under the identity of Yue Yun.
Xun Lanyin and Master Can Xia among others were quite pleased and ca forward to offer their congratulations.
Luo Ziyuan, Xiong Man, and others were also delighted and ca to offer their congratulations.
Seeing Xiong Man congratulate him on becoming part of the Ei Sect, Shi Feiyang found it rather amusing but accepted her felicitations with a smile.
Although Qi Shuming had not yet erged from seclusion, lacking the official proceedings, Xun Lanyin effectively acted as the Vice Sect Leader. Yue Yun himself had been acquainted with the people of Ei Sect for many years; returning to the sect was a consensus, so everyone truly regarded him as a genuine fellow disciple. A few days later, Xun Lanyin transmitted to him the first third of the Nine Heavens Mysterious Scripture and a portion of the Shaqing Secret Manual.
Not only did he receive Daoist books, but he also was allotted a cave abode in the Central Immortal Mansion, with a layout of five stone rooms—four rooms and one hall.
At his "new ho," Shi Feiyang flipped through the scriptures, apparently, Zen Master Xiao Yue had left out quite a bit.
Last ti Zen Master Xiao Yue exchanged only the primary branches of cultivation thods with him; this ti, Xun Lanyin gave him everything derived from every twig, leaf, and fruit—the full set!
As for the Shaqing Secret Manual, many of the spells within were ones Yue Yun had already cultivated, albeit not completely; this ti, he received the full version!
The two main scriptures that the direct disciples of Ei Sect practiced after initiation were the Nine Heavens Mysterious Scripture and the Shaqing Secret Manual. After Master Changi, along with Deng Yin and Shen Wugou, paid homage to their master at Fishing Rock in the East Sea, they also received these two scriptures.
These were both authentic skills from the Mysterious Sect. Shi Feiyang had already cultivated so previously; now presented with a comprehensive system for cultivation, he encountered virtually no obstacles. It took only a few months for him to successfully cultivate all the thods.
However, that was Shi Feiyang’s cultivation speed; he surmised Yue Yun’s progress wouldn’t be as rapid, so he refrained from going out, continuing to cultivate his own original thods.
He had been practicing like this for a good half-year.
That day, he stepped out of the door and strolled along the pathway.
For the Immortal Cultivators, it was common to engage in practices that lasted for a year or a half; currently, even Xun Lanyin was in secluded cultivation, so the entire Immortal Mansion was extrely quiet.
Shi Feiyang walked leisurely, appreciating the mountainous beauty around him.
Ei Mountain originally possessed nurous picturesque sights, such as Immortal Sound Peak, Feiquan Waterfall, and Lying Dragon Rock, etcetera. After the establishnt of the mansion, nurous new landscapes were added—almost one at every step. It would take at least half a year to see them all if one were to stroll and examine each individually.
Superficially, Shi Feiyang seed to be enjoying the scenery, but in reality, he was closely investigating the Liangyi Dust Formation.
This Immortal Array usually remained hidden, but if soone tried to probe it with their Primordial Spirit, it would imdiately react, and mbers of the Ei Sect would be instantly alerted.
If an outsider without knowledge ca here, they would never be able to locate this array because the mont you sense "its" existence, you would also be detected and possibly controlled by "it."
Years ago, Shi Feiyang had learned the fundantal principles of this array from Deng Yin and had spent the subsequent years studying it, placing it within the frawork of the Three Emperors Dao. He devised an array that had diverged from the original, yet shared the sa foundation.
He first discerned the Heavenly Number and Earth’s Energy, clarified the calculations, and deduced the heavenly paths and changes in the Earth’s energy ridians within Ei Mountain, and then located the ridians and trends of the Liangyi Dust Formation.
Wandering half the day, he eventually arrived at the base of Spiritual Jade Peak!
Spiritual Jade Peak, when retracted, was a Magical Treasure that could rest on the palm; when released, it transford into a mountain.
This treasure, similar to the Purple and Blue Duoluo Fire, originated from the Taixu Immortal Mansion. Initially, it was a stalagmite turned into a treasure by an Immortal, and the mountain also had its landscapes.
The Taiqing One Qi Divine Talisman was located on the mountain, suppressing the main node of the Liangyi Dust Formation.
This treasure had once flown automatically to the East Sea and fallen into the hands of an Independent Immortal. It was Yue Yun who had reclaid it and returned it to the Ei Sect before the establishnt of the mansion.
Therefore, Yue Yun should not linger here; Shi Feiyang took a brief look, nodded slightly, and then continued westward, still discreetly sensing the various changes in the Heavenly Number and Earth’s Energy around him.
The place might seem ordinary, but in reality, both the Heavenly Number and the Earth’s Energy were twisted and altered. The sa issue calculated from afar would result in one Gua Xiang, but when calculated nearby, it turned into another!
Furthermore, the flow of energy also changed. Shi Feiyang did not take out the Yu Guang Disc, but he knew that even if he did use it to calculate, it would ultimately point towards Spiritual Jade Peak where the heavenly path had changed.
He speculated that on Spiritual Jade Peak, both ti and space were distorted; there was an effect of watching chess to oblivion, and this mountain possessed that effect too. For now, it was not wise to touch recklessly.
Continuing on the path and turning a corner, he ca to a vast cave. The do above was at least several dozen feet from the ground, spanning an area of several acres, with waterfalls, a pond, and so array-nurtured flora, not abundant, but all ticulously cared for.
A group of young n and won from the Ei Sect were here, two of the boys were exchanging sword techniques while others watched in small groups, sotis cheering and sotis encouraging loudly.
Yue Yun looked around; he did not recognize most, but Qi Lingyun and Yue Wen were among them.
Seeing him, everyone greeted him respectfully with the title "Uncle-Master Yue."
The dueling boys also ceased their activity.
One lively young boy with a tiger head-shaped outfit ca over, introducing himself as Golden Cicada, and asked him to critique the bout they just had.
That boy was Qi Shuming and Xun Lanying’s beloved son from their previous life, nad Qi Chengji then, elder brother to Qi Lingyun and Qi Xia’er. Initially, their father Qi Shuming began cultivation in the mountains, later fetching their mother Xun Lanying and then Qi Lingyun; elder sister Qi Xia’er was taken by Master Can Xia. Left alone, he cried and pleaded to start his cultivation in the mountains too but didn’t succeed.
This lifeti, he was born to a family with the surna Li, brought to the mountains shortly after birth, and was given the milk na Golden Cicada; thus, he could be called Qi Jincan or Li Jincan.
He was quite unfazed by unfamiliar faces, and seed quite relaxed and familiar with this newly joined Uncle-Master Yue of Ei Sect.
Shi Feiyang reviewed the two young n who had just been dueling; they also ca over and bowed respectfully, one introducing himself as Sun Nan, a disciple of Li Yuanhua, the other as Yan Renying, originally the grandnephew of Ying Mu from Miao Zhen Temple. Initially recruited by Drunken Daoist, who died under the sword of Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor at Star Constellations Sea during the establishnt of the mansion, Yan Ying Mu ca personally with Jiang Xuejun to transfer Yan Renying under the care of Qi Shuming.
Yan Renying previously studied swordsmanship under Ying Mu at Miao Zhen Temple. Yeng Ying Mu had gifted him his Cultivation Manual, the Tai Xuan Heavenly Scripture, which helped Yan Renying make remarkable progress over the years.
During their swordfight, Sun Nan employed the standard swordsmanship of Ei Sect and was no less skilled than Yan Renying, whose sword technique was more aggressive and on the verge of winning when Golden Cicada loudly interjected, urging Qi Lingyun to help Sun Nan quickly.
Qi Lingyun and Sun Nan were predestined as Dao companions in this life and usually, such topics were ticulously avoided among the disciples; no one brought it up except Golden Cicada who openly joked about it, often stirring up trouble in front of others, much to the annoyance of Qi Lingyun, who wanted to thrash him.
