Zheng Yuan Gui felt annoyed in his heart but suppressed his anger, "The Xuduan Spirit Jade Paste is a secret teaching of our sect, shared only with direct disciples and no one else."
"In that case, there’s nothing I can do," Shi Feiyang said. "That Queen Mother Grass of mine was not easy to obtain. I planned to use it for life-saving purposes during critical monts and cannot just give it away lightly."
Zheng Yuan Gui’s face, already unsightly, now looked even worse as he glared at Shi Feiyang, his eyes revealing a fierce light, looking like he might unleash his Flying Sword to kill and seize the treasure at any second.
After holding back for a mont, he finally suppressed his rage, sneered three tis at Shi Feiyang, and turned to leave.
Shi Feiyang was not afraid of him and turned back to retreat into the cave, closing the Stone Gate. "Is Xuduan Spirit Jade Paste really a secret of your sect? I find it hard to believe."
He passed through nine Stone Gates and arrived at the spherical training room, where he summoned the Cave Spirit Zither and started to play. Soon after, a devout voice from Xiankong Ancestor ca through, "This junior, Lin You from the Lower Realm is here. What teachings does the True Immortal have?"
Using the Cave Spirit Zither, Shi Feiyang spoke, "Recently, I’ve been organizing Dan Recipes, many of which are ancient ones from thousands of years ago. Many of the ingredients no longer exist. I’d like to ask you, do you understand alchemy and drug-making?"
Xiankong Ancestor humbly replied, "A little bit, a little bit."
Shi Feiyang asked what dicine recipes he knew, and Xiankong Ancestor ntioned a few—Cold Cloud Pill, Two Extres Pill, Poison Dragon Fragrance, including his most proud creation, the Millennium Xuduan Spirit Jade Paste.
Shi Feiyang asked how the Poison Dragon Fragrance was made. After listening, he said, "I also have a ’Heaven and Earth Harmony Fragrance’. Let tell you about it."
The Heaven and Earth Harmony Fragrance was his own invention, which naturally Xiankong Ancestor had never heard of. After listening to its description, he was greatly surprised, "This fragrance requires the essence blood from demonic coupling of unique species of turtles and snakes; such ingredients are exceedingly rare. Even if one successfully makes it, how can ordinary people achieve a state with no desires in their hearts? With desires, using this fragrance would lead to their destruction. However, if one truly can maintain an undisturbed state of mind, using this fragrance in cultivation will greatly accelerate progress and yield trendous benefits."
Shi Feiyang said, "This fragrance is intended for people with top-tier innate talents. Let alone those from minor schools, even many disciples from major Mysterious Sects can’t use it."
Xiankong Ancestor regretfully said, "Indeed, only those of the highest caliber are suitable for its use!"
Shi Feiyang then asked him for the recipe of the Millennium Xuduan Paste, which he disclosed without reservation. Having successfully created the Spiritual dicine, he was overjoyed, while outside, Zheng Yuan Gui was still holding back his anger.
Zheng Yuan Gui did not want the Spirit Jade Paste; the Spiritual dicines in the palace were always sealed off by Xiankong Ancestor’s spells. He couldn’t access the millennia-aged ones, let alone the centennial ones, and even if he had been given Spiritual dicines, with his personality and strength, he would not have been able to refine them correctly.
He only wanted to get his hands on the fabled Queen Mother Grass, which could resurrect the dead.
Outside the island was a vast lake called the Heaven and Earth Harmony Sea, ho to many strangely shaped and bizarre creatures. It was an extrely lascivious creature, had grown tired of playing with the sea goats, and gradually shifted its interest to humans, giving itself a human na, Li Xin. It had practiced the art of illusion, capable of making people see him as a handso young man. He seduced the daughter of the Old Man of the Golden Wind from the Iron Plow Mountain’s Bottomless Cave, Li Yuyu.
The Old Man of the Golden Wind refused to let matters slide and swore to flay and debone him, grinding him to dust so that his body and soul were destroyed.
Unable to defeat the Old Man of the Golden Wind, nor the Old Man’s son, the Scatter Flower Taoist, the lecherous Sea Goat could only flee. Like a headless fly, he ran around in desperation until he encountered Zheng Yuan Gui. Presenting him with a pair of kidneys from a five hundred-year-old Sea Otter Demon and various other pleas, Zheng Yuan Gui gave him guidance to travel through the Xuanming Realm to Wuding Island to seek discipleship. Along the way, Zheng cast spells in secret to assist him, helping him successfully beco a disciple of Xiankong Ancestor.
