Bai i Zen Master developed a thought, wanting to allow Shi Feiyang to take the Xuanyuan Two Treasures.
Because, after his recent ditation facing the wall at Ningbi Cliff, he had already achieved Perfection in rit, it was originally Li Ning and others who had asked him to cast spells, pleading with him not to Ascend so he would stay to propagate Buddhist Law for the beings of this world. He had then stayed for another twenty years. Currently, Li Ning had yet to beco his disciple, and he himself also harbored the intention to leave this world and Ascend to Pure Land.
But the other few did not consent...
Among the Buddhist community, there were three monks and two nuns considered super first-class masters, specifically Master Zun Sheng, Master Tian ng, Bai i Zen Master, Master Fen Tuo, and Master You Tan. Additionally, there were Zen Master Zhi Gong, Zen Master Kong Tuo, Xin Ru Divine Nun, Old Nun of Qinling, Zen Master Du Zhi, Zen Master Wu Ming, and others who rarely interacted with the secular world, who had severed all worldly ties and devoted themselves to quiet cultivation, awaiting Rebirth. Overall, these five were representative figures.
Although these divine monks and nuns all ranked among the super first-class, their actions and styles varied due to different karmic forces accumulated in the past, leading to varying levels of Dao and mana.
Regarding the matter concerning Shi Feiyang, Bai i Zen Master had already achieved Perfection in cultivation and was rely waiting to Ascend. His first disciple, Caiwei Monk Zhu Youmu, was still around, while his second disciple Li Ning had reincarnated and was now mingling in the Jianghu Martial Arts scene of Shandong as one of the Three Heroes of Shandong and had yet to return to Buddhism. His third disciple, Little Divine Monk Atong, had just reincarnated and was still a small infant.
Throughout this entire matter, Bai i Zen Master was an outsider.
In the Buddhist community, it is believed that similar habits attract similar fates, and sentient beings are grouped by love and separation, hatred and union, desire and dissatisfaction, forming one realm.
For instance, those who enjoy smoking gather into a "smoking world," while those who enjoy drinking form a "drinking world."
People from different worlds do not understand each other due to their differing habits and cannot empathize; they seldom interact, and typically would not even et. A domineering CEO rarely encounters a normal employee, and even if they do et, they would not have much in common.
If the situation concerning Shi Feiyang were to form a circle, a world, Bai i Zen Master would be an outsider; he essentially had no involvent with the matter. He is a high monk from "another world," who ca into "this world" attempting to diate and resolve grudges.
From his perspective, it appeared that both parties bore too deep grievances and the murderous karma created in the past was too heavy; people in this realm were lost in their resentnts and revenge driven by greed, hatred, and delusion, unable to extricate themselves.
He had decided not to involve himself, to avoid entanglent with the karma of "this world" and thus had resolved to let Shi Feiyang take the two treasures of the Holy Mausoleum.
"Amitabha Buddha!" He no longer spoke to Shi Feiyang but addressed those around him, "This place is a bitter sea, with heavy demonic trials. Once you enter this conflict, it is difficult to restore epochs, you all must brace yourselves at the cliff and turn back to shore!"
Following that, he said to Zhu Youmu, "Co back to the mountains with for quiet cultivation."
Caught by surprise, the others felt shocked, and Zhu Youmu expressed his bafflent, "Master! Are you just going to let this demon take the two treasures of the Holy Mausoleum, eventually causing chaos in the world and harming the common people?"
With a tone of disappointnt, like seeing iron not becoming steel, Bai i Zen Master retorted, "What sentient beings! What demon! What two treasures! I see you as the demon! Speak no more, follow back to the mountain for quiet recitation of the Buddha, do not leave the mountain before I attain Rebirth in Pure Land!"
Zhu Youmu dared not defy him and could only obediently follow his master. Others, seeing this, were at a loss for words; wanting to speak, but the hierarchical distance to this senior monk was too vast, so they remained silent.
Only Ji Fan and others grumbled secretly: Zhu, you’ve gathered everyone here, insisting on battling with Shi, bombasting at first, yet, now, following an elder’s single command, you depart—what are we supposed to do?
As Bai i Zen Master disappeared into the horizon covered in a golden cloud with Zhu Youmu, people looked at each other in confusion.
Below, Shi Feiyang, observing the scene, kindly hinted to them, "The senior monk already told you to brace yourselves at the cliff, turn back to shore. Whether I take the Holy Mausoleum’s two treasures is not for you to manage. Hurry up and disperse, go back and properly cultivate, otherwise, calamity is imminent."
As his words ca out, no one objected; after all, a confrontation had already taken a heavy toll on them earlier. With Zhu Youmu and Jiang Xuejun’s high mana being utterly embarrassed without gaining any advantage, these people fared even worse.
They all looked to Jiang Xuejun and Bai Guyi since among those remaining, these two had the highest mana and were the oldest in terms of seniority.
Jiang Xuejun, too, had lost his edge and prepared to return to the mountains to seek advice from his master. Bai Guyi, knowing he was no match for Shi Feiyang, only said, "His destiny is not yet complete, it should not be forced. If you still seek revenge, I won’t stop you, otherwise, better leave promptly. Provoking him further might unleash his demon nature, and we will all certainly face calamity!" After saying this, he did not wait for others, leaving with Yang Jin.
Shi Feiyang, seeing the others depart, still maintained a serious expression. Bai i Monk was not involved in this intricacy and had no karmic ties with Shi, effortlessly leaving behind and enjoying his freedom. However, there were still a few entangled in this, bearing heavy karma, and most likely, would not leave; this was the final negotiation between the parties, and since it had broken down, a continued battle was inevitable.
Han’er ca over, slightly proud, seeking recognition: "I just drove away a wretched maid too!"
Shi Feiyang smiled, "You still don’t know the trouble you have caused! The wretched maid you drove away is the daughter of Yi Zhou of Xuan Turtle Island in the South Sea and the niece of Divine Nun You Tan. She will seek vengeance against you in the future. You’re going to suffer! Your best bet now is to hurry to Fishing Rock in the East Sea and beg your father for forgiveness on your knees, ask him to make peace with Yi Zhou for you. Yi Zhou will definitely save face for the Ei Sect as his daughter and son will join the sect in the future and be your sect brothers and sisters. Only then will this matter be resolved."
Han’er shook her head in disdain, "I don’t want to be sect sisters with that wretched maid! My father is already dead, where can I find him..." Saying this, her eyes reddened, "Whatever daughters or nieces they are, I’m not afraid. If I et her again, I’ll just stitch her up a few more tis."
Shi Feiyang said, "If you et her again and she’s more cautious, you won’t be able to hit her."
"If I can’t hit her, just let her beat to death then!" Han’er said in self-destructive desperation, "It’s not a big deal!"
"Sigh." Shi Feiyang thought about how this young girl’s fate since birth had been sowhat tied to his own making, and he felt he couldn’t simply ignore her. He then took out the True Essence Scissors he had just seized from Yang Jin, "This Magical Treasure is a powerful object, once belonging to the old nun Fen Tuo. If you possess it, the next ti you encounter Yi Jing, you can use this treasure along with the Bai i needle. The light from the True Essence Scissors will conceal the needle and allow you to strike her again. But the origin of this treasure is significant, do you dare to take it?"
"Why wouldn’t I?" Seeing that Shi Feiyang was offering her a treasure, Han’er was delighted, "If you dare to offer it, I dare to take it. Whatever consequences arise, I will bear them myself!"
Shi Feiyang handed the True Essence Scissors to her and transmitted to her a Cultivation Technique specially for refining this treasure, "If you earnestly refine it for eighty-one days, you can achieve unity between man and treasure, and use it according to your will. When you encounter Yang Jin again, you can definitely use this treasure to cut her! But if Fen Tuo personally intervenes, it could still be taken back by her."
Han’er didn’t care about the future; she was happy in the mont. She took the scissors, listened carefully to the refinent thod, and joyfully went to the back mountain to refine the treasure.
Shi Feiyang didn’t an to trap her; after all, no matter how rebellious she was, there was still the relationship with Zhuge Jingwo. Blood is thicker than water, and even if the treasure was taken back by Fen Tuo in the future, they wouldn’t harm her personally; at most, Zhuge Jingwo would take her back to Yellow Mountain and confine her for a few decades.
After dealing with Han’er’s matters, Shi Feiyang began to focus on calculating the future variables, casting spells to mask so part of the Heavenly Number, altering another portion of it, and deciphering the changes made by others. During this period, he sent several Flying Sword Transmissions to the relevant people...
anwhile, Bai Guyi and Yang Jin had arrived at the Dragon Elephant Temple near the cliff by the sky at Immortal City, which was exactly the Daoist site of master Fen Tuo.
When they arrived, they saw the cliffs on the opposite side of the sky cliff covered in a layer of golden light, illuminating an area of several miles. All the plants and trees seed as if they were cast from pure gold.
Two identical little girls were sitting on the cliff, cross-legged with their eyes closed in ditation, casting spells, their bodies radiating brilliant Buddha Light, illuminating the clouds.
These two children were naturally Xie Shan’s daughters, Xie Ying and Xie Lin. Due to Shi Feiyang’s involvent, the girls had co into the world prematurely. Yang Jin had seen them a few tis, and they called her Aunt Yang.
The two entered the Dragon Elephant Temple, saw master Fen Tuo, recounted their encounter, and knelt to confess losing the teacher’s entrusted True Essence Scissors.
Master Fen Tuo’s face remained calm, "I have known about your situation. Bai i Zen Master has withdrawn from the scene, which is also fine. When the ti cos for the Holy Mausoleum’s Two Treasures to erge, there will naturally be soone who will act against him. The True Essence Scissors is just a material object; what’s mine or yours? We, who practice Buddhism, don’t even own our bodies, let alone these objects! If the True Essence Scissors is destined to be yours, it will naturally return to your hands through others. To insist on having it would only bring the suffering of unfulfilled desires."
She seed reluctant to speak more on this issue. Yang Jin did not persist in asking further but instead inquired about the two girls from Immortal City across the cliff. Master Fen Tuo briefly explained to them.
It turns out, during the ti of Emperor Wu of the Liang dynasty, the Venerable Absolute, a Zen Master, had vowed to eradicate all demons and had written a book called ’Demonic Destruction Treasure Scroll’, detailing all the Great Techniques he had developed for demon suppression.
The Venerable Absolute, with these techniques, had killed many Evil Demons from heterodox sects. But as he vanquished the demons, more would erge, and paradoxically, his own disciples fell into the Demon’s trap, lost their true nature, wept in repentance, and self-immolated to atone for their sins.
After this disciple’s self-immolation, he would still have to endure many calamities and ultimately defeat the Demon that hard him to complete his ordeal.
Venerable Absolute had realized that rely employing force was not the solution to eradicating all demons; it was a mistaken path. Only the thods of the Bodhisattva, which begins by addressing the intrinsic nature of all beings, albeit slower and longer in process, could represent the true path. He decided to destroy the ’Demonic Destruction Treasure Scroll’, but since his disciple was still entangled with the Demon, causally affecting the righteous law, only this book could solve it and remove the Demon.
Thus, Venerable Absolute opened a 3,000-foot deep cave on the cliff across the sky cliff and also created a treasure banner, securing the book and sealing it within, waiting for it to erge in the future to et fate.
Master Fen Tuo said, "Actually, the book is not yet due to erge according to Venerable Absolute’s plan. However, master Ren wanted to save the Xie sisters from disaster, allowing them to co and take the book prematurely. The cliff opposite has been sealed with the Great Vajra Unbreakable Technique by Venerable Absolute, and it’s impossible for ordinary people to damage even a single stone. Master Ren first had the two girls practice at the Little Cold Mountain for three years, and now they are sent to take the book, while sincerely praying to Venerable Absolute, wishing to use it to suppress the Demon. Although they are not the reincarnations of Venerable Absolute’s forr disciples, their connection to him is significant. Using the profound Buddhist observation thods, diving deep into ditation, and realizing that all six realms are empty, they can break the Great Vajra Technique, entering deep into the mountain to retrieve the True Scripture."
Yang Jin wasn’t sure how to react upon hearing this, while Bai Guyi was beside her, his heart pounding with shock.
Buddhism highly values following the natural course of things. If fate is not yet arrived, then there is karma, and one mustn’t force it. This ti, master Ren, disregarding Venerable Absolute’s past wishes, had decided to let the girls take the book prematurely, indicating her firm resolve to confront Shi Feiyang!
Following this, he heard Master Fen Tuo say, "The Great Hero Treasure Vault of West Kongtong is also to be opened ahead of schedule."
