The Demon Tribulation didn’t seem as dreadful from the outside as the Fire Tribulation and Heavenly Tribulation had been, but it was indeed more perilous. Its effects were wholly concentrated upon the human soul; a slight misstep in thought could send one plumting into endless calamity!
At the southern shore of the Star Constellations Sea, the mbers of the Ei Sect saw thick blood fog cloaking all four Dharma Platforms. The fog reached up, connecting with the tribulation clouds above, with millions of strands of demon fog descending amidst it, filled with nacing and ghastly demon shadows.
Those of lesser Effort couldn’t see clearly what was transpiring within. Master Bai Yun and others asked Qi Shuming, "After all this ti, we haven’t destroyed even a single Demon Sword. Waiting for the Demon Tribulation to pass, the twelve Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Swords will erge, and the increase of demons will be inevitable worldwide; the entire world will turn into a Demon Domain!"
The three immortals of the East Sea could see so signs through the blood fog, but not as clearly as Master You Tan.
The old nun shouted softly in anger, "Such evil demons, using the Nine Child Mother Sky Demon to lure the otherworldly heavens’ demons with the absurd aim to procreate and refine demons!"
Everyone was puzzled by her statent, but once she explained the situation, everyone was utterly dumbfounded and speechless.
Others faced the Demon Tribulation with cautious ditation, daring not even to foster a single thought, simply enduring mont by mont and pushing through ti, fearing that any slight intention might give an opportunity to the Heavenly Demon.
That Demon Dragon could actually refine demons during the Demon Tribulation! To ludicrously think of letting its own refined demons copulate with the Heavenly Demons was unbelievably absurd!
"If that demon actually manages to refine the Nine Child Mother Sky Demon using this thod, wouldn’t that be... wouldn’t it be even more difficult to control than Jiu Panpo? Once he refines all the Heavenly Demons and Demon Swords, it would truly beco lawless!"
Master You Tan also frowned deeply. This ti, Qi Shuming had invited Bai i Zen Master, Tian ng Zen Master, Fen Tuo, You Tan, and Jile Perfected Li Jingxu, as well as Miao Zhen Temple’s Yingmu.
Tian ng Zen Master, due to his brother Xie Shan’s business, was traveling the Human World on foot, performing ascetic practices to accumulate the virtues of paramitas without ti to spare for other concerns.
Jile Perfected too was wandering the human realm. The invitation had been delivered to his cave. It was received by his wife, the Five Fortune Immortal Sun Xun, who ntioned she would pass it on when he returned.
That was effectively an excuse to decline. Li Jingxu was playing outside in a young boy’s body crafted from the Five Elents Essence, while his true form remained in the cave. If there were an urgent matter, Sun Xun would definitely have a way to inform him.
Moreover, Bai i Zen Master was in seclusion within a stone wall, ditating at Ningbi Cliff. Among the five eminent Buddhist masters from the Shushan World, the honored and highest were Tian ng and two monks, followed by Fen Tuo and Bai i, with You Tan last.
Knowing his own shortcomings, Bai i had once visited Ei Mountain’s peak to emulate Dharma Master’s wall-facing ditation.
The remaining Masters Fen Tuo and Yingmu also found excuses; others did not know the reason, but Master You Tan did.
Both Fen Tuo and Yingmu, representing both Buddha and Tao, were top-tier experts. They knew that a terrifying Great Demon was confined beneath the Star Constellations Sea. Individually, neither feared Deng Yin; indeed, Yingmu’s Qiantian Taiyin Soundless Divine Thunder was particularly effective against Deng Yin.
However, they couldn’t capture Deng Yin alone. Once Deng Yin erged, he could bring about a boundless disaster. Such high-level experts would need to co together in groups of four or five, strategize extensively, and set traps to potentially ensnare and annihilate him in one go.
These two calculated that once they arrived, Shi Feiyang would surely release Deng Yin in his desperation; the consequences of which were unimaginable.
Therefore, both abstained from coming; only Fen Tuo sent Yang Jin with a Spirit Talisman that could transform into a Suru Vajra Hand.
Shi Feiyang also, knowing that they wouldn’t co, hence delayed releasing Deng Yin, countering each other with strategic deterrence.
Master Bai Yun asked, "What do we do next? We absolutely can’t allow them to refine the Demon Swords!"
"We still have one last chance." Master You Tan said, his face grave as he looked toward the rolling Demon Fog in the distance.
Shi Feiyang sat immobile atop the Five-Colored Divine Peak at the Central Altar, passively receiving all sorts of sensations relayed by the Nine Swords and Nine Demons—various illusions, cries for help, roars of desperation, and an abundance of Heavenly Demons pouring into his consciousness like a waterfall...
He had attracted eighty percent of the Demon Tribulation’s Effort to himself, leaving the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor to bear ten percent alone, while White Bone God and Xu Wan together bore the remaining ten percent.
The situation was grim for the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor. He sat cross-legged atop "Central Mountain," wholly focused on guarding his spirit, facing both the Heavenly Demon Tribulation from above and Emperor Chi You’s assault on his Primordial Spirit.
"Why are we being separated now? Weren’t we just vowing to live and die together?" Emperor Chi You’s thunderous voice bood through his mind.
Just earlier, he had rged with the Demon Sword, effectively sacrificing himself to refine it, his Primordial Spirit mingling with Chi You’s. Now, needing to separate, Chi You was not acquiescent.
Chi You now sought not only to rge with his Primordial Spirit but to completely subsu it, to seize his body and return to the human world through it!
Fortunately, Chi You’s Primordial Spirit was only a third of his forr strength, while the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor was no ordinary being, possessing centuries of Dao Level, days of equally long Cultivation resulting in differing levels of Mana. The Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor was considered a prodigy in Cultivation, achieving a Dao Level even higher than his junior, Sikong Zhan, and was just barely managing to hold on.
anwhile, White Bone God and Xu Wan were struggling to withstand.
