The Fire Tribulation ceased completely from the early afternoon onward.
Shi Feiyang’s three orbs of Purple and Blue Duoluo Fire had absorbed much of the fire essence, glowing brilliantly and as large as buckets, resembling three bright stars.
His Primordial Spirit had also endured the baking of Heavenly Fire, having survived an earlier body refinent more painful than Hell itself, he now felt imnsely relieved. His Primordial Spirit had beco more condensed, akin to a True Master. Originally able to perceive only within a thousand li, he could now reach as far as two thousand li!
The Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword was tempered by the Heavenly Fire, and both the Sword Mold and Sword Demon underwent significant transformations.
Shi Feiyang withdrew his Primordial Spirit, consud an elixir, concentrated to cultivate, restoring his mana to prepare for the next wave of the Heavenly Tribulation.
Deng Yin watched from inside the cave, full of admiration: "This man, who ca from an otherworldly realm to this world, clearly is here to train and overco tribulations with such profound Dao and basic spells. With such a temperant, insight, and courage, even if he cultivates my incomplete ’Blood God Scripture,’ he could eventually achieve the accomplishnts of the forr Palace Master of Stone God Palace!"
Initially, Deng Yin thought Shi Feiyang’s Dao Level was imnsely profound, his mana only average among younger generations and sought his help to escape with a sense of superiority as an older generation requesting aid from a junior.
At this mont, his mindset had shifted. Although Shi Feiyang’s current mana was far inferior to his own, and his spell-casting thods sowhat naive, his future achievents would undoubtedly surpass his own.
"This youngster is refining the Purple and Blue Duoluo Fire so relentlessly; it must be aid against in the future." Deng Yin watched the fiery rain and flashing lights, smiling, "This proves he’s ntally prepared to help escape. Very good indeed."
In truth, even without external help, he could have escaped himself, the year Stony Mountain Sect was established.
Yet the last ti Master Changi sealed him, he was given a set tiline—365 years, with the array to naturally expire five years after the establishnt of Ei Sect.
Had Deng Yin escaped then, with Ei Sect fully operational and all the Evil Demons eradicated, the major trends solidified.
The ascetic monks of Ei Sect had ascended, and disciples like Xuan Zhenzi, Qi Shuming, and Xun Lanyin had reached the Heavenly Immortal Realm, possessing much greater power than ordinary Heavenly Immortals. The younger generation, including Li Yingqiong, had grown up and possessed nurous powerful Magical Treasures—either Ancient Treasures or Supre Heavenly Treasures. Deng Yin had no opportunity to intervene.
Moreover, he could have left earlier but chose to delay another five years; his mindset had altered, indicating respect for his senior brother, wishing to nd his ways.
With this repentant thought and five more years of secluded cultivation, he would still be able to victoriously return to the Dao and ascend in the future.
Deng Yin’s emotions towards his senior brother were complex: his brother’s kindness was greater than mountains, deeper than oceans. They cultivated together like brothers; however, his brother had driven the two people he loved most to annihilation under the Heavenly Tribulation, directly striking one and destroying both body and soul...
Tangled in gratitude and enmity, mixed with love and hate, over these three centuries, he sotis felt lancholic and other tis gnashed his teeth in resentnt.
He wanted to escape early, yet his senior brother said that if he escaped early to seek revenge against Ei Sect, he would inevitably lead himself to destruction.
Deng Yin was defiant, but his senior brother was always divinely skilled, unerringly strategic; he predicted that if Deng Yin broke through the Liangyi Dust Formation and sought revenge against Ei Sect, he would indeed be destroyed, body, and soul...
He sowhat believed it, cautious in his heart.
Sotis, he wanted to escape early to butcher anyone related to his senior brother at Ei Sect, proving his brother’s predictions wrong!
Other tis, he feared that by doing so, he would fulfill his brother’s prophecy.
Thus, he hesitated for two to three hundred years until he sensed the presence of Shi Feiyang, also learning he was from another world, and calculated that Shi Feiyang was not included in his senior brother’s prophecies.
This gave him limitless hope!
He needed Shi Feiyang’s help to escape at a ti neither when the Liangyi Dust Formations naturally failed after 365 years nor when he would break the formation after 360 years but to help him escape beforehand and then exterminate the disciples of Ei Sect, completely shattering his brother’s prophecy!
It was a good plan, but Shi Feiyang seed to have calculated the sa and steadfastly refused to help.
As the tiline of 360 years increasingly approached, Deng Yin was actually getting anxious.
Fortunately, Shi Feiyang ca here to refine his sword; Deng Yin was overjoyed upon learning this, thinking, "Finally, I’m getting out! I, the Blood God, will return to the Jianghu!"
Shi Feiyang’s performance during the first wave of the Fire Tribulation had exceeded his expectations, but he was not worried. The subsequent Heavenly Thunder was fiercer and more violent; he also sensed at least thirty masters within a radius of five thousand li, eager to kill, including several old acquaintances.
"Little Dragon, you will ultimately set free!" Deng Yin thought triumphantly, "This is destiny! A win-win situation propelled by great forces!"
The Heavenly Thunder was more terrifying than the Fire Tribulation; the fire clouds transford into thunder clouds, pressing down above everyone’s heads.
From the late afternoon, the first thunderbolt descended from the heavens, striking directly above the Hunyuan Umbrella on the Five-Colored Radiance. With a loud bang, it pierced through the radiance and hit the dark umbrella body, causing the Circulation Heaven Seal golden light on the Iron Umbrella to blaze intensely, spinning dozens of tis before finally neutralizing the thunder’s force.
"Remarkable!" Shi Feiyang was sowhat surprised as well, not expecting the thunder to be so powerful!
The Heavenly Demons within the Nine Swords felt the power of the thunder and hid away, as quiet as chickens. They had previously been burned by the Heavenly Fire and suffered greatly, knowing the formidable threat and daring not to endure the thunder.
Shi Feiyang, however, when the second bolt of thunder descended, drew its residual force to strike one of the swords, instantly causing the Demon Sword to tremble violently and the Heavenly Demons inside to emit silent howls.
The reason it was silent was that it was unheard by human ears, manifesting directly within one’s mind, causing a tingling, headache-inducing sensation that made one’s entire skeletal structure itch and tingle.
Shi Feiyang drew nine bolts of thunder, directing one towards each sword, while spitting out Essence Energy and bleeding himself, pouring Dragon Blood onto the swords in sequence, "You nine useless things! Even afraid of Heavenly Thunder, what will you do when others strike you with thunder in the future? Dive into the ground out of fear? To beco true Immortal Slaying Swords, you must first conquer these Heavenly Thunders!"
After he finished speaking, he drew a second round of thunder to strike the swords.
This was the difference between enduring and avoiding tribulation. The Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword must undergo the baptism of Heavenly Tribulation, even once would not suffice, it needed to endure many tis to reach the state of killing anyone who stands in its way, fearless against all techniques.
The initial thunders were rely probing, but as ti passed, the Heavenly Thunders beca more frequent and dense.
"Crack! Crack! Crack! Crackling..."
Initially, the thunders were striking one after another, and Shi Feiyang was able to respond calmly, but later, dozens to hundreds of bolts fell at the sa ti, most of them striking where Shi Feiyang was, and the rest striking others.
The Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor, though struggling, was still managing to hold on; his Five Mountains True Forms Array was incredibly divine, and with the help of Sikong Zhan, Xu Feiniang, and others, they always managed to persevere.
The White Bone God and Xu Wan, these two unfortunate fellows, suffered greatly. If Heavenly Tribulation had a total of ten parts, Shi Feiyang alone bore seven and a half parts, the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor one and a half parts, and the two of them shared one part.
Even this one part’s power was too much for them to withstand. Their spells had been countered by the previous Heavenly Fire, and by the ti the Heavenly Thunder ca, they had absolutely no power to shield themselves.
The White Bone God’s White Bone City was like it was made of paper; one thunder to the east, another to the west, the well-structured altar city was quickly shattered into fragnts resembling honeycombs.
Xu Wan had it even worse; his city built from Netherworld Bricks inscribed with Yin Script Talismans was full of yin energy. A genuine Mysterious Sect Sword Immortal who spent too long in his altar city would suffer from weakened Primordial Qi, unable to defeat him even if their mana was much higher than Xu Wan’s.
But this was Heavenly Thunder; one bolt struck the Netherworld Brick walls, instantly exploding into a huge fireball, then blew up in a matter of monts like Sun Wukong kicking over the Furnace of Eight Trigrams, sending fiery debris flying chaotically everywhere. Xu Wan’s disciples, if struck, were quickly turned to ash along with their swords!
Xu Wan’s eyes were bloodshot, fortunately, his brother Xu Quan was there to help him, otherwise, he would have been reduced to ruins long ago.
However, even so, both sides were gradually deteriorating, the White Bone God couldn’t bear it and sought help from Shi Feiyang.
The pressure on Shi Feiyang’s side was imnse, the Five-Colored Radiance on top of the Hunyuan Umbrella had been smashed, unable to regroup in ti; more thunder struck the Iron Umbrella itself, causing sparks to fly wildly, like rain falling at an angle, Shi Feiyang continuously expelled mana, making the Iron Umbrella spin rapidly, increasing the brightness of the Circulation Golden Talisman’s light.
At that mont, the people from Ei Sect took action!
In front of White Bone City, an old man of short stature suddenly appeared out of nowhere—it was Zhu i, one of the elders from Song Mountain. While everyone’s attention was on the Heavenly Thunder, he swiftly used the Formless Immortal Escape to get in front of the altar city. After appearing, he rubbed his hands together, releasing more than a dozen Taiyin Divine Thunders, with golden bolts exploding from his palms towards the city, his Flying Sword included among them.
The White Bone God was already struggling with the Heavenly Tribulation; suddenly attacked head-on, he hurriedly cast a counter-spell, releasing four White Bone Door Arrows previously hidden, shooting from the skeletons on the castle towers to et the Divine Thunders in midair, exploding into four large masses of golden light and green flas.
Still, three Taiyin Divine Thunders hit the battlents, shattering them into fragnts and splintering bone.
However, Zhu i’s Flying Sword didn’t target the White Bone God or his disciples, but aid at the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword.
Before coming, Qi Shuming had set the primary strategic goal for this conflict: to hinder the enemy’s sword refining and destroy as many of the twelve Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Swords as possible. Based on that, they would also try to kill as many demons as possible.
Zhu i’s Flying Sword, fast as lightning, made a clean cut, shredding the bone shell around the Demon Sword, then wrapped around the Flying Sword inside, sending it skywards.
The Heavenly Tribulation today was aid at the swords; as soon as the Demon Sword appeared, all the Heavenly Thunder was imdiately drawn to it, nurous bolts striking the sword simultaneously, turning it into a massive fireball.
"Not good!" The White Bone God, watching, was furious. If the sword was shattered by the Heavenly Thunder, his days of effort would be wasted, he would also suffer recoils, severely damaging his Primordial Qi, potentially forcing him down in Dao Level and into reincarnation.
He raised his left hand, releasing four more White Bone Door Arrows towards Zhu i, his right hand shooting six White Bone Yin Wind Arrows into the sky.
Zhu i knew the potency of the White Bone Arrows and didn’t catch them with his hands; instead, he shook his body and disappeared. The White Bone Arrows, however, had already locked onto his aura, following relentlessly. Zhu i, an old-generation Sword Immortal with hundreds of years of cultivation experience, sprayed out four streams of Primordial Qi, using his hands to rub and replace himself to attract the White Bone Arrows into the sky, allowing them to be shattered by the Heavenly Thunder.
Zhu i then circled to the back of the altar city, sending out more Taiyin Divine Thunders to shatter the battlents, his Flying Sword slashing like cutting wheat, killing five disciples from the White Bone Sect!
Fortunately, the White Bone God had several capable disciples who promptly spread phosphor using Jade Bowls, covering the sky, forcing Zhu i to disappear again.
On another front, attacking Xu Wan was Mrs. Xun Lanyin from Miao Yi, acting even more ruthlessly than Zhu i. Xu Wan’s Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword was also wrapped in Invisible Sword Energy and sent into the sky, furiously struck by Heavenly Thunder!
Shi Feiyang cursed the two as useless, but they were essentially his shields; if they were killed, he would have to face the enemy’s pincer attack alone.
