Deng Yin hinted to Zen Master Xiao Yue that the flying sword he needed to take was the Purple Ying Sword.

Before Master Changi ascended years ago, he hid the Purple Ying and Green Rope Immortal Swords in two places in Mangcang Mountain, leaving them for his two future disciples to retrieve.

Those disciples were Li Yingqiong and Zhou Qingyun, both ranked among the Three Heroes and Two Clouds, with Li Yingqiong wielding the Purple Ying Sword and destined to be the next Sect Leader of the Ei Sect.

Master Changi concealed these two locations using spells to hide Heaven’s Secret, making them inaccessible to outsiders unless they had seen the original text like Shi Feiyang who had co from another world.

However, Deng Yin was an exception, as the Purple Ying Sword was his assigned sword which he had nurtimanced and refined for hundreds of years, making it unique and thus he knew of its location, but he did not know where the Green Rope Sword was.

Following Deng Yin’s instructions, Zen Master Xiao Yue flew to Mangcang Mountain, found the temple where the sword was hidden, and first slew the zombies in the temple.

The Purple Ying Sword had been divided by Master Changi into the hilt and the blade. The blade had already beco spiritually sentient and transford into a dragon, hidden elsewhere. To retrieve the sword, one had to first possess the hilt.

As Zen Master Xiao Yue sought the hilt, Lady Miao Yi of Ei Mountain, Xun Lanyin, suddenly felt an impulse.

Since the second swordfight of the Ei Sect, the elders had been diligently advancing their cultivation while predicting the future destiny of the sect, only to discover that many treasures destined for their disciples had been taken by soone else—Three Yangs One Qi Sword, Green Shrimp Vessel, Yu Ding, and Shaqing Immortal Mansion, among many others, all had fallen into the hands of an evil dragon. Moreover, Master Fen Tuo had sent word that the Nanming Leaving Fire Sword—which Buddhism had left with the Daoists—had also been taken!

This revealed to them that Heaven’s Secret had changed, and all the arrangents Master Changi had made in the past were now unrecognizable.

They urgently checked the remaining items, particularly the Purple and Green Double Swords, the treasure of Ei Sect, which must not be lost.

Master Baiyun suggested, "We should retrieve and hide both Purple and Green Double Swords within Ei Mountain. When we have new disciples, we can then pass the swords on to them."

Qi Shuming, because the nature of the Green Rope Sword was still ferociously untad, was sealed by Master Changi within the earth’s core, polished by the Earth Evil winds and fires, and not yet ready to erge. This also involved the suppression of the local Demon Corpse Gu Chen, so he did not agree and only took away other treasures that could be moved. The Purple and Green Double Swords were still left in place.

However, they had made preparations at the location of the swords. Immortal Law had been set up so that they could sense imdiately if anyone approached.

Qi Shuming was intending to go to the East Sea with Xuanzhenzi and the Ascetic Monk to refine swords and treasures in preparation for the increasingly imminent third swordfight. Since Li Yuanhua and others lacked the strength to deter the wicked and protect Ei, Xun Lanyin moved back from Jiuhua Mountain to permanently reside at Ei’s main mountain.

Because of this arrangent, Deng Yin’s main body was too far away from this location. Although Zen Master Xiao Yue arrived, he couldn’t find the hilt at once. Shortly thereafter, Xun Lanyin rushed over urgently.

Zen Master Xiao Yue heard the sound of wind and thunder outside and saw a purple-red sword light approaching rapidly from afar, as fast as lightning, and recognized it as Xun Lanyin, imdiately feeling a snort of anger.

He knew Xun Lanyin was also greatly favored by Master Changi. Although Qi Shuming was the Sect Leader, the future of the Ei Sect was to be divided between n and won, with Qi Shuming only managing male disciples while Xun Lanyin managed the female ones. Her Daoist power was only slightly weaker than Qi Shuming’s. It would take so effort to defeat her, and if she summoned more help, today’s sword retrieval would be dashed.

As he stewed in hesitation and anger, Xun Lanyin had already approached, the sword light descended, and seeing him, she too was surprised.

Both had studied the Dao under Master Changi’s guidance during the Eastern Jin and had over a thousand years of camaraderie as senior and junior disciples. eting again after so many years, they were at a loss for words for a mont.

Xun Lanyin asked him, "Did Elder Brother Three co here to take the Purple Ying Sword?"

Zen Master Xiao Yue didn’t speak but grunted heavily through his nose.

Xun Lanyin said, "The Purple Ying Sword was sealed here by our master for his future disciples."

Zen Master Xiao Yue, knowing he was in the wrong, was unsure how to respond.

Seeing this, Deng Yin was anxious on the sidelines, thinking to himself that this person was still as dumbfounded and tongue-tied as ever. He wanted to speak, but seeing Xun Lanyin’s extraordinary divine aura, far from what she was in the past, he feared being recognized by her and did not dare to speak outright, only growing more anxious by the mont.

Xun Lanyin questioned Zen Master Xiao Yue, "Back then, I asked Elder Brother Three whether you were unwilling to submit to others or to our late master? How did you answer then? You said you were only unhappy with an outsider leading the sect and wouldn’t dare resent our master. Then we let our fellow disciples together elect the Sect Leader; you declared support for our First Senior Brother. First Senior Brother vehently declined and imdiately left for Fishing Rock in the East Sea to express his determination. Afterward, everyone chose based on rit, and nearly all voted for our master. Yet you were discontented, angry, and deserted the mountain. I would not interfere with what my senior brother does, but in the end, are you, a disciple of our master, willing to help outsiders to harm our Ei Sect and ruin the fruits of our three ancestors’ and our master’s thousand-year efforts?"

Her words were logical and emotional, and Zen Master Xiao Yue was left speechless by her questioning, not knowing how to reply, but since he had co, he had to proceed—as they say, once the arrow is on the bowstring, it must be shot.

He said loudly, "I am dissatisfied with Qi Shuming being the Sect Leader! What virtues and abilities does he have to inherit the thousand years of hard work left by our three ancestors and our master, to lead the Ei’s Dao heritage? I don’t accept it! Our master sealed the Purple Ying Sword here but never specified it was for soone in particular—how do you know it isn’t ant for ? Today, I want to take this Purple Ying Sword, and outside of you people, start my own sect and create my own legacy. Then we’ll see, is my Ei Sect greater, or is yours stronger?"

Seeing he was determined to take the Purple Ying Sword and beyond redemption, Xun Lanyin knew of his high mana when he was at Ei, and after leaving and becoming a disciple of Grandmaster Ha Ha, he had beco even more formidable with his combination of righteous and evil powers.

Furthermore, she found the young Taoist following behind Zen Master Xiao Yue to be exceedingly unusual. She had initially thought he was a disciple of Xiao Yue, but his presence was off-putting, and there was no ti to investigate closely. The thods of evil demons are always strange and unpredictable, hard to defend against.

She dared not take the matter lightly, and while casting a spell to remotely alert Bearded Immortal Li Yuanhua, Grandmaster Baiyun, and several other nearby fellow sect mbers, she continued to question Zen Master Xiao Yue in an attempt to buy ti.

Seeing her calling for reinforcents, Xiao Yue knew her intentions and imdiately unleashed his Flying Sword to try to drive her away.

Xun Lanyin also released her own Mandarin Duck Thunderbolt Swords, one purple and one red sword light, thundering toward Xiao Yue, entangling with his Flying Sword.

It was when Master Changi had just ascended that Zen Master Xiao Yue left, and not even the first swordfight had occurred. A hundred years later, when brother and sister disciples crossed swords again, it quickly beca evident who was superior.

Zen Master Xiao Yue thought he had always been stronger than Xun Lanyin, and with his power rapidly advancing from cultivating both the righteous and the evil over the years, he believed that victory should not be difficult this ti.

Little did he know, Xun Lanyin had followed Master Changi in cultivation for ten lifetis... and had cultivated even before those ten lifetis, but the ten lifetis that followed were all focused on the orthodox techniques of the Mysterious Sect, never straying from the Righteous Path. Both her Inner Strength and Outer Skills had reached Perfection, and in this last lifeti, her power swelled with accumulated potential like a flood breaking through a dam!

Both were renowned for their swordsmanship, but Xun Lanyin had dedicated even more to her swordcraft, and her Mandarin Duck Thunderbolt Swords were a notch above Xiao Yue’s Flying Sword.

Just a brief exchange the span of a tea ti, and Xiao Yue was already outclassed, his Flying Sword’s glow suppressed, beginning to dim.

Xiao Yue had not anticipated Xun Lanyin’s remarkable progress after so many years. In his urgency, he controlled his sword with one hand and ford a spell with the other, and with a light cry from him, a violent wind surged from the ground, carrying sand and stones, and streaks of yellow light erged from the earth towards Xun Lanyin.

Xun Lanyin recognized that he was using the Earth-splitting Mountain-opening Technique, capable of splitting the ground and rocks to suck in a person and then seal them alive underneath.

She imdiately executed the Gang Step to evade underground, also forming hand seals and stepping out with each footfall, which dissipated the earth energy, allowing it to settle back down. Then, with a wave of her hand, she launched several streaks of green light.

The two shifted from swordfighting to dueling with spells, employing the techniques from the Ei Sect’s "Shaqing Secret Manual."

The "Shaqing Secret Manual" is the basic cultivation technique that direct disciples of the Ei Sect begin learning upon entry. When Master Changi, Deng Yin, and Shen Wugou first joined, they studied the "Nine Heavens Mysterious Scripture" and the "Shaqing Secret Manual."

The spells recorded in this manual progress from simple to profound, encompassing a vast range of abilities, with a depth and breadth far surpassing the Daoist books of other sects.

Disciples of the Ei Sect build upon these fundantal spells in their cultivation, each emphasizing different aspects and innovating within their specializations, creating unique signature techniques.

The two, having been brother and sister disciples for over a thousand years and continuing to study the Dao together through successive reincarnations, now attacked and countered each other with spells, moving as quickly as in the days of old when they would spar and practice within the sect.

In spite of his sentintality, Zen Master Xiao Yue discovered that he was also no match for his sister disciple in these Mysterious Sect techniques. Xun Lanyin had already mastered the Taicing Mysterious Sect’s Invisible Sword Energy!

Although it still required more Fire Control, given enough ti for her cultivation to continue, it wouldn’t be many years before she could achieve Great Success!

This was sothing even he could not attain.

A bitter taste rose in Zen Master Xiao Yue’s heart. He knew that though he practiced both the righteous and evil ways, embodying the strengths of both, he ultimately hindered his progress by straying from either path, unlike his sister disciple who delved deeper into one school and reached greater heights.

The Taicing Mysterious Sect’s Invisible Sword Energy is one of the highest levels of Ei Sect techniques. Using Primordial Essence for the sword’s body, Primordial Qi for the sword tip, and the Primordial Spirit for the Sword Spirit—human becos sword, and sword becos human. In Human Sword Unity, when mastered, one can materialize or disperse at will, similar to the wonders of the Yang God who "coalesces to form and disperses into qi."

And to reach the peak of this technique, one’s Nascent Soul must be close to achieving Pure Yang, or not far off, with exceptionally high requirents for one’s nature.

To dual cultivate the essence of life and nature, in the orthodox Mysterious Sect, the spiritual power must be at least seven parts for the Upper Lunar and seven parts life force for the Lower Sine. When both are in harmony, one is like a full bright moon, Pure Yang without a hint of Yin.

For mastering this sword technique, one’s spiritual power must reach at least seven parts, and life force too must reach seven parts...

If Zen Master Xiao Yue had continued to refine the "Nine Heavens Mysterious Scripture," he too could eventually beco a Pure Yang Heavenly Immortal. However, he had strayed to practice the Cultivation Technique of Grandmaster Ha Ha, making it nearly impossible for his Nascent Soul to reach Pure Yang ever again.

At this thought, anger surged in his heart, and he began to employ the Evil Skill transmitted by Grandmaster Ha Ha.

The two continued their swordfight and spell duel. Initially, they kept the battle confined to the small courtyard of the ruined temple, seeking to determine a victor within a limited space, rely to decide a winner without intending to take each other’s lives.

The fight grew more fierce as tempers flared, and the area affected by their Flying Sword Technique and spells gradually expanded. Xun Lanyin was still using the spells from the "Shaqing Secret Manual," including many unique moves she herself had developed over the years.

Zen Master Xiao Yue combined righteous and evil techniques—a streak of green light in his left hand, a black fla in his right.

As they fiercely clashed, their exchange intertwined with Taiyin Divine Thunder, Shaqing Divine Light, Six Desires Yin Thunder, Destructive Divine Flas, and more, quickly reducing the dilapidated temple to rubble, obliterating the neglected shrine and its surrounding walls as though uprooting dry weeds, leaving nothing but ashes!
