Chapter 637: Chapter 637: Everyone Wants to Roll In
Having just been transferred back from Shisong County, Zhang Chaoping notified everyone to attend a eting.
When Ji Yang entered the eting room, nearly everyone was already there, and Zhang Chaoping arrived just as he ca in.
After everyone exchanged handshakes and greetings, they sat down.
“Comrades, thanks to everyone’s efforts recently, the situation in our entire city has undergone so changes. The purpose of today’s eting is to understand the work everyone has been doing and to facilitate our next steps,” Zhang Chaoping directly started speaking.
Vice Secretary Zuo Lin smiled and said, “I see everyone has been working hard. The work on attracting investnt has been done very well. From what I gathered, the repair work for the damaged houses in various counties is almost complete, and we are ready to move on to deeper developnts. The county I am responsible for has also nearly completed its resettlent work, the damaged houses have been reconstructed, and those that really couldn’t be occupied have been resettled anew. Additionally, I have already made contact with so businesses, and an investnt of five million might be forthcoming, which counts as so progress.”
Zuo Lin spoke about this matter with a smile on his face, clearly satisfied with his own work.
Zhang Chaoping smiled and said, “Comrade Zuo Lin has done a good job. The sa is true in my area. While carrying out party affairs, we have accomplished similar work; the overall repair work for the damaged houses is nearly finished. Additionally, I have contacted so business-minded people, and it is estimated that an investnt of about eight or nine hundred million might be forthcoming. If they co, we could quickly launch our work.”
After saying this, he turned to the Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Gao Min, and asked, “Comrade Gao Min, I’ve heard that the project you’re discussing might accumulate tens of millions. Can it be successfully negotiated?”
Gao Min smiled and replied, “The proposal is ready, and there shouldn’t be too many issues. The county I’m responsible for just happens to have stone resources. The companies have seen the potential for stone developnt there, and if it goes well, surely there will be good profits.”
“Everyone is putting effort in. Comrade Yonglin’s area also reportedly has several million in investnts under discussion; how is that going? Is there any need for help from the municipal party committee?” Zhang Chaoping then looked toward the Executive Deputy Mayor, Chen Yonglin.
Chen Yonglin said, “It seems everyone’s work is about the sa. My area is doing the sa, and also concerning investnt, we’re currently in discussions, but the business owners still have so doubts about investing in our city.”
“That needs you to talk to them directly and clarify our investnt attraction policies.”
As the conversation bypassed Ji Yang, everyone swiftly and targetedly reported their work, making Ji Yang seem sowhat isolated.
Seeing all this, Ji Yang realized that Zhang Chaoping had ulterior motives, intending to use this as a chance for everyone to showcase their achievents.
Compared to them, during this period, Ji Yang had only been supervising the repair work in Shisong County and indeed hadn’t made much progress, making it understandably why Zhang Chaoping thought Ji Yang was all talk.
For a mont, under Zhang Chaoping’s guidance, everyone enthusiastically discussed their work, making it seem like the entire situation was under Zhang’s control.
The team mbers also observed covertly, realizing that today Zhang Chaoping aid to reduce Ji Yang’s prestige.
Though it was apparent to everyone, no one spoke up; rather, they cooperated with Zhang Chaoping in discussing matters.
Considering Ji Yang had beco the mayor at such a young age, it was impossible for them not to feel envious; with all kinds of thoughts in mind, they inadvertently cooperated when Zhang Chaoping targeted Ji Yang.
If it had been an ordinary official, facing such a situation would surely be panicking, but Ji Yang, having witnessed much before, simply didn’t care about their conduct.
Only after everyone had spoken, did Zhang Chaoping, with a smile, turn to Ji Yang and ask, “Comrade Ji Yang, how is the situation in Xincheng?”
During this ti, he really had kept a close watch on Ji Yang’s situation; although he had heard that Ji Yang had visited the site for the new city several tis, he hadn’t seen any significant actions, which made him doubt Ji Yang’s capabilities.
Keep in mind, even Zhang Chaoping himself had to use personal connections to bring in so small-scale investnt ideas from past acquaintances; Ji Yang, despite having so connections, was unlikely, given his youth, to have many and even less likely to attract participants for building the new city.
Although Ji Yang was aware of their thinking, he didn’t wish to reveal it just yet and let them feel good about themselves for a while longer.
“My area’s situation isn’t much different from everyone else’s. Shisong County’s dangerous house reconstruction work is also completed, as is the resettlent work; we are now ready to start investing in the construction of Xincheng and Shisong County.”
Ji Yang spoke very simply, causing everyone, seeing his response, to shake their heads internally, assuming Ji Yang really hadn’t achieved much.
Zhang Chaoping said, “These matters can’t be hurried. The situation in Ximu City is just like this; everyone’s work is quite challenging. As long as we are determined to do our job well, I believe that with everyone’s continued efforts, we can definitely succeed.”
At this mont, Zhang Chaoping felt quite good, believing he had achieved a partial victory.
