"Cheer up, my dear, let take you ho."

The ntion of going ho made Lola even more unhappy!

"Why don’t you co with ?"

Lola nodded enthusiastically!

Anna Thornton had planned to go to the company.

After Holly Sutton’s incident, the company’s internal situation was chaotic.

Though Holly Sutton was gone, Anna Thornton held fifteen percent of the shares, making her not the most influential shareholder on the board.

She had long seen through this group of people who were driven by profit and who, at crucial monts, cared little for the years of friendship and kinship with the Thornton Family for just a bit of benefit from Holly Sutton.

Especially at this particular ti, it’s likely that those with ulterior motives were all scheming on how to seize the company.

Anna Thornton was only going back today to get a feel for the situation; bringing Lola along wouldn’t be a problem.

Her only concern was: "Shouldn’t we call your parents? In case they go to the kindergarten and can’t find you, they’ll be worried."

Lola pouted: "They don’t care about !"

"How could that be? I saw your mom was very anxious about you last ti on the comrcial shoot."

"She wasn’t anxious about , she was anxious about money! To her, I’m just a tool to make money!"

"How could there be parents in the world who don’t care about their kids?"

"Because I’m not their biological child!" Lola kept this thought to himself, not saying it out loud.

Seeing Anna Thornton’s persistent expression, the little guy could only helplessly sigh, using his phone watch to dial a call while taking a few steps aside.

The call Lola made wasn’t to Freya Vaughn; it was to his bodyguard.

Hence he avoided Anna Thornton when answering.

"She agreed! Let’s go!" The little guy quickly finished the call and ca back.

Anna Thornton grew suspicious: "Let check your call log, to see if you really called your mom."

Upon hearing this, Lola obediently extended his arm for her to check.

Indeed, there was a recent call, but: "This call wasn’t to your parents?"

"The teacher asked to contact a parent, so I saved your number under ’Mom.’"

Anna Thornton looked; the contact labeled ’Mom’ did indeed display her own number.

Lola’s phone watch only had three contacts saved.

Aside from labeling Anna Thornton as ’Mom,’ the other two numbers were only saved as ’Ergency Contact No.1’ and ’Ergency Contact No.2.’

Anna Thornton couldn’t possibly imagine that Lola hadn’t even saved his parents’ phone number.

His ergency contacts were actually the driver and bodyguard!

Earlier on the phone, Lola instructed his bodyguard to do sothing very important for him.

Upon reaching the company—

Anna Thornton could tell that the current internal staff were all in a state of panic.

"Who would have thought President Sutton would be suspected of murder, and she offended President Sterling of the Sterling Group, it’s really a disaster!"

"I heard President Sutton has fled abroad, what’s disastrous about that?"

"I an it’s a disaster for us; think about it, President Sterling is injured and now can’t find the culprit, wouldn’t he vent his anger on the company? With Sterling Group’s capability, toppling a company of our size is nothing. You should inquire around; besides the Four Families, which group in the country can withstand the wrath of President Sterling’s strike?"

"It’s terrifying! The company’s shares have been plunging recently, and it’s said several forces are buying in. We don’t know who will eventually take over."

"There are rumors President Sutton is also suspected of altering the will Old President Thornton left. Do you think the company will be returned to Miss Thornton after Holly Sutton is brought to justice? I hope Miss Thornton takes charge."

"Why?"

"President Sterling has a special relationship with her; it seems only Miss Thornton’s intervention could make President Sterling spare us."

At this point, Anna Thornton ca over.

The few employees gathered quickly dispersed, minding their own business, hoping she hadn’t overheard.

But Anna Thornton half-smiled as she looked at the last employee who spoke: "Analyzing quite well, huh!"

"..."

Anna Thornton contacted June Irving remotely in her office, discussing the ’Cute Lord’ brand sche.

Despite the company’s current instability, Anna Thornton didn’t want the revival process of the brand to slow down.

June Irving’s status was upbeat, having sent Anna Thornton several drafts.

While reviewing the drafts, Anna Thornton glanced up and saw Lola walking around the office with his hands behind his back.

Due to the little guy’s serious deanor, Anna Thornton couldn’t help but tease him: "Mr. Lane, how did your inspection of the work feel?"

"Is this company yours?" Lola asked.

"It used to belong to our family, but soone took it away later. I’m trying to take it back."

Anna Thornton explained the relationships simply, and after listening, Lola nodded: "Got it, then I’ll let you have it!"

"Oh, what generous words! Co, let see the imposing aura of a tyrant CEO."

Anna Thornton beckoned Lola over with a finger gesture, and when the little guy ca over, she couldn’t help but give his stern and serious but still extrely cute little face a playful squeeze.

"Alright, go play for a bit on your own. When I’m done, I’ll take you to eat sothing delicious."

Lola seed uninterested in good food or fun things; the snacks and toys Anna Thornton prepared couldn’t capture his favor.

With lipstick marks on both cheeks, Lola himself pulled a chair next to Anna Thornton, climbed up hugging his backpack.

The little guy rely wanted to lean against her and do his own thing.

The office atmosphere was very quiet; Anna Thornton and Lola, one big and one small, didn’t need much exchange yet coexisted comfortably and harmoniously.

Anna Thornton saw Lola take out sothing phone-sized from his little backpack.

Thinking it was a ga console or learning device, Anna Thornton leaned forward to watch the little guy’s operation and realized it was actually a mini-computer.

Lola’s typing speed was faster than Anna Thornton’s; she found herself unable to understand his computer interface.

To avoid exposing her intelligence and being outdone by a three-year-old, she sensibly returned to viewing the design drafts.

anwhile, at the hospital—

Without Anna Thornton, President Sterling’s room seed particularly cold and lonely.

Even though a subordinate was reporting work to him.

"President Sterling, we’ve found that amid the great fluctuation of Thornton stocks recently, that mysterious force has started to take action again."

"Soone wants to compete with us?"

"Yes, and it’s very likely the mysterious organization previously led by ’Young Master.’"

How odd!

The Thornton Family company wasn’t exactly a juicy piece due to Holly Sutton draining it dry these years.

Conrad Sterling’s involvent was purely to lend Anna Thornton a hand.

But what exactly did the others see in it?

Even if it was a juicy piece, with President Sterling in charge, no other consortium dared to touch it!

This mysterious force seed not to respect him.

"President Sterling, should we conduct a detailed investigation?"

"With your speed? An insignificant little organization, and still no results?"

President Sterling didn’t bother rebuking them anymore.

"I believe before I seek him out, he’ll be coming to find first."

Conrad Sterling stared with a playful gaze at the computer screen; soone was attacking his computer.
