Archi sat in the garden alone, he had told Nyx he wanted to be in the garden because he loved how beautiful the flowers were.
"Our house back ho does not have these kind of flowers," he smiled sadly.
"It is such a beautiful sight," he hugged himself still admiring the beauty.
"It is very beautiful," a voice said beside him.
He jerked up when he heard the voice, looking across his shoulder, he noticed it was Oberon.
His eyes widened, "Your Majesty," he bowed.
Oberon presses his lips, even though Nyx had told him to stay away, he just could not, there was this invisible cord pulling him towards Archi.
He went to him and made him stand up, "Do not call that," he shook his head.
"But why? Everyone here calls you that."
Oberon smiled sweetly and kissed his forehead, "It is father to you, okay?"
"Father?" He asked, looking around.
"Yes, why?"
Archi lowered his gaze, "Mother told to never call you that, she might even get upset if she sees us together," he sighed.
Oberon gulped, what could he say?
"Uh.. well, she.." he didn’t know what to tell him.
"What does she have against you?"
He bent his head slightly, even if he narrated everything to Archi, it still wouldn’t make any sense to him.
"She feels wronged by because of an incident that occured six years ago, I truly wronged her."
"Why?"
Oberon held his hand, "There is no need talking about it, just let us spend so ti together, before your mother cos?"
Archi agreed, "Make sure she does not see us, she would get really mad and I do not want her to be upset with ."
He sighed, "I understand," he bit his lips.
Oberon carried him up in his arms, "Let us take a walk then?"
He nodded, "That is not a bad idea at all," Archi smiled softly.
His smile struck Oberon’s heart, he felt so bad for not being a part of his life for the past six years.
He carried Archi and together they took a walk around the palace, Oberon showing him so parts of the palace.
Archi asked so questions and he answered happily but he made sure to walk in a way so Nyx could be avoided.
"Father?"
"Yes son?" He replied, his heart fluttering.
"Why can you not be with us? Mother wants us to be apart. Do I not deserve a father too?"
He felt touched by his question, he had no exact answer to that question so he kept silent.
"Tell please," he urged him further.
"I am sorry son, I do not have an exact answer to that, I can not say why your mother does not want us to be together," he bent his head, "she probably hates too much," he muttered so Archi wouldn’t hear him.
He pouted, "I do not want this, if you really are my father, you would be with us," he said.
His heart skipped a beat, "I.. am working toward that.. everything will be fine son, trust ."
Archi sighed and looked away, "It does not feel right at all, what kind of wrong did you do that hurt her so much?"
"Probably because I shattered her hopes and betrayed her trust," he sighed, saying that more to himself than to Archi.
"She does not trust you too?"
"She does not," he replied sadly.
"How do we make her trust you again?"
"I ca not say, she probably does not have any trust left, she totally hates now," he shook his head.
"That is not right, we have to fix this. There must be sothing we can do about it."
He didn’t know why but Archi’s words gave him so hope.
"Could you help ?"
"How?"
"If there was any way you could make your mother spill the beans, and then co back and tell everything, we could work from there."
"Oh, okay, I still do not know how."
"She is your mother, talk to her, she will be softer with you, than with ."
"I think I could do that, I just hope she does not shun ."
"I hope so too, just give it a try, it should not be that hard," he said.
He nodded, "I love you," he wrapped his arms around Oberon’s neck and buried his face in his neck.
Oberon was close to tears, he hugged him tight, "I love you more son, I am so sorry I have not been there for you all these while, I promise to make everything right, everything will be fine."
"I trust you, and together, we will win my mother back to you."
He felt a sense of hope again, "Together, we will win Nyx back," he smiled softly, still wrapping his arms around him.
"She will co back to you, I know that," he raised his head.
"I hope so," he exhaled.
He set Archi on the ground, "Let us make a deal, we have to et here at intervals, so we could keep in touch, and then keep the plan in check."
Archi brought out his hand, and Oberon took it, "Deal."
"Thank you so much son," he hugged him again.
Archi giggled, it felt so good that he called him ’son’.
"You are so welco father, I am afraid I have to go now, before my mother sees with you."
"No worries, I hope to have a reply from you soon, bye for now," he kissed his forehead.
Archi smiled and ran into the palace. Oberon smiled heartily for the first ti he could rember, this child was truly the light he sought.
"I can not have my family united, I made a mistake once, which I am not and will never repeat."
He straightened his face, "If I want positive results, I have to go smarter and not harder," he smiled, "I am coming for you Nyx, just wait and watch."
