It was finally the day Oberon had always wanted. This was the day he would finally mark his mate his. He had already perford the wedding rites, just the mating ceremony was left, sothing he never did with Nyx.
He sat on his seat, waiting for Selena to arrive.
The guests were already making themselves comfortable, though so of them were not entirely comfortable with the idea of the Alpha mating soone else instead of Nyx.
Selena arrived in a very gorgeous wedding dress, she was looking beautiful that day. She took her place beside Oberon and the mating rites began.
"Let the marriage rites begin!" He announced.
The guests all clapped. The dancers perford very well and the musicians did a very good job.
Oberon glanced at Selena, who was watching the scene with a very wide smile on her face.
"Finally the day I have always waited for," Selena said calmly.
"Yes, too. It has finally arrived."
The dancers were doing a wonderful job in captivating the dancers.
"When shall we be marked mates? I am already getting impatient," Selena pouted.
Oberon smiled gently at her, "Very soon, just be a little patient."
She sighed, "This is getting hard," she muttered.
So people who admired them, ca over to wish them well. Everyone who ca to them, kept praising Selena and admiring her beauty.
Oberon for once felt proud of his mate, he had never felt this proud before.
The wedding banquet imdiately comnced. Oberon led Selena to the head table, he was gleaming with pride as he led her to the head table, they both reclined at the head table and the banquet began.
It was as if majority of the pack had always wanted selena to be the Luna. They showered her with a lot of gifts and complints.
Oberon had thrown a very large feast, larger than the other one he had earlier thrown when he wanted to marry Nyx.
It went on and on with countless speeches, endless toasts and a rain of gifts.
Selena was so happy and could not contain her excitent, she was beaming with joy all over. The gifts kept coming in and her heart kept dancing.
Oberon leaned besides Selena and whispered into her ear, "The mating ritual is close, mmh? Brace yourself."
His voice sent chills down her heart, she couldn’t help but feel pride that mont.
"I can not wait," she grinned.
The feast was still on and it seed as if it wouldn’t end.
Finally, it was ti for their mating ritual. They returned back to their seat in the hall. The eldest of the elders was the one who presided over that ritual.
They were asked to finally mark each other as mates. Oberon went first, marking Selena as his mate, then Selena marked him too.
The guests there clapped wildly, celebrating the mating of the newlyweds.

"May your marriage be filled with peace, love and blessings, may it be fruitful and be blessed with a lot of little pups," Elena gave them her blessings.
"Thank you mother, thank you so much," Selena thanked her on their behalf.
She nodded and flashed them a smile, "Finally, you are with the one you truly love, I hope this union grows stronger and nothing ever brings it down."
Oberon bowed slightly, "Thank you mother, we really appreciate this."
"I should probably leave you both to yourselves. Have a nice ti together," she left them alone.
There was silence for a while, no one said anything to the other person. Finally, Oberon broke the silence, "It has arrived."
Selena grinned, "Yes, it has. There is no way you can deny this any longer."
He chuckled, "I know that, I promise to make sure you have a nice ti with ."
She blushed, "I want to," she said, he’d cheeks burning.
He held her hand, "You will," he replied, mischief twinkling in his eyes.
She was excited.
He carried her in his arms, in bridal style to the bed. Her heart was thumping in excitent, and she could barely contain it.
He put her on the bed gently, "I will make sure to devour you," he grinned.
She giggled, "Then do it quickly."
He leaned forward and kissed her on the lips. She returned it with full vigor, matching his strength.
They were still having the ti of their lives when the vase on the bedside table dropped and broke into pieces.
They were startled and stopped what they were doing. They exchanged glances.
"Mother says, when a vase breaks at the couple’s wedding, it is a bad sign," she said getting worried.
Oberon was short of words, he wasn’t sure of what to say.
"This.. is odd, why did it have to break into pieces... today?"
"That is why I am worried, who knows what this ans?"
He held his forehead, he was finally rejoicing after a long ti, he didn’t want anything to spoil his mood.
"Just forget about it Selena, it must have been shaky and just tipped. Do not think about it too much," he gave her a reassuring smile.
She returned his smile but deep down within her, she wasn’t comforted.
He kissed her forehead, proceeding to kiss her lips, when he heard sothing else. He paused for a while. It was the sound of a baby’s cry.
He creased his brows, "Do you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"I think I hear a baby crying," he frowned.
She looked at him in disbelief, "I do not hear anything, where are you hearing that sound?"
He got down from the bed and headed to the window, the baby’s cries were more louder. He looked out of the window and noticed a baby, all alone, crying. He was startled.
"Why would anyone leave a baby here all by itself?"
Selena also got down from the bed, she got to the window and looked outside, "Which baby? Are you sure, you are okay Oberon?"
He looked at her in surprise, "So you an you are not seeing the baby?" He looked back at where he had earlier seen the baby but it had disappeared.
"It is gone," he was beginning to get petrified.
"I do not feel right all of a sudden," Selena gulped down nervously.
He closed his eyes and sighed, "Let us go have so rest, we are only tired."
He led her back to the bed. They lay down for a night’s rest but their heads were not at rest.
