Dora gently pushed the door to Oberon’s room open. The doctor in the room was still trying to work on Oberon’s wounds.
"I will dismiss him right away," Dora nodded at her.
She walked into the room with her shoulders held high, "Hello, you can leave now. You have done well."
The doctor turned to face her, "just a minute more, I am almost done," he cleaned the final wound, then wanted to bandage it.
"Wait, do not bandage it.."
"But my lady.."
"That is enough, thank you," Dora added, her voice firm.
"As you wish my lady," he got to his feet, then bowed slightly. He saw Nyx standing at the door, "Lady Nyx," he exclaid in surprise, "It has been years!" He bowed, "How have you been?"
She shrugged her shoulders, "I have been well, thank you," she forced a smile on her face.
"I will take my leave now," he walked past her.
Nyx exhaled then walked into the room, "Let us get started," she handed Dora the gourd, "Let go get those spicy ointnts, those will help too."
Dora took it from her, "Of course. You will find so in his cupboard."
Nyx headed to the cupboard, her heart racing fast, "This should better work," she prayed again for the umpteenth ti.
She opened the cupboard, and grabbed so of the ointnts she saw there. She opened so of it, then sniffed in.
"This is it," she gave an affirmative nod, then walked back to et Dora who was sitting beside Oberon’s body on the bed.
"He will be fine," she assured Dora, "There is nothing to worry about," she took Dora’s hand, squeezing it gently.
"We have to start cutting the bandages, again," Nyx held her head, "This doctor should not have worried himself this much, now this is more work."
Dora grabbed the small knife on the table, "I should be done with that in no ti," she began to cut the bandages.
Nyx just watched her cut through the bandages so smoothly, "You are good at this."
"Happens when you tend to injured Soldiers all the ti."
"Oh, true."
Before she knew it, Dora was done with all the bandage’s exposing the wounds again.
"I am sorry you have to go through all this," she touched his face, "You will be fine soon."
"Should we apply the potion first, or the ointnts?" Dora threw a quizzical glance at her.
"The potion first, the ointnts are just for finishing touches."
"Oh right. Go on then," she stood up allowing her more space to do what she wanted.
"Is there a bowl nearby?" She looked around, "I forgot to bring one while coming here."
Dora threw a look at his table, "There is no bowl here"
Nyx rolled her eyes, "Ugh, damn it."
"Let quickly go back to the kitchen to get one," she hurried away.
Nyx looked back at his body on the bed. Fortunately for her, there were no flies around so she would not have to swat around.
Her eyes fell on his face. It looked pale, and lifeless.
’Who knows? He might be dead already?’
She imdiately shoved away that thought, "Of course not, that has not happened. I am sure the doctor must have given him sothing to keep his heart beating," she shook her head.
"Stop thinking negative already," she balled her fists.
There was a soft knock on the door. She looked over her shoulders to see Klaus.
"Can I co in?"
Nyx hesitated for a while, "Yes," she finally spoke up.
He took steady steps into the room as if he would fall if he just increased his pace.
Nyx observed him for a while. He was tall, had broad shoulders for a youngling his age. He had dark hair like Dora, and a pair of grey eyes, and rosy pink lips.
He reached where she was on the bed, "Are you Nyx?"
She raised her brows, "I am."
His eyes widened as if he were seeing a ghost, "I can not believe I am finally seeing you for real! I have heard so much about you."
She chuckled, "Oh, I see."
He looked over at Oberon’s body, and his expression turned sour, "He used to talk a lot about you. I can not miss the glint in his eyes whenever he ntioned your na."
A blush crept up her neck, and up her cheeks creating a pink halo, "Did he?"
"Yes," he sat on the ground, "He really does love you, and it hurt him that you left with his son."
The blush imdiately disappeared, "I had to."
He twisted his lips, "It made him very sad. I can not count the number of tis he would lock himself up in his room, or refuse to eat, or even want to do anything at all. He kept saying he was punishing himself over, and over again."
Nyx listened with a hole in her heart. He really did want to make it up to him, why did she not give him a chance?"
She clasped her hands together, "We both made our mistakes, but we can make them right again," she pouted her lips in thought.
Just then Dora ca in, "I am back," she gasped, "That was a long run," she wiped her forehead.
Her eyes fell on Klaus, "Klaus," she smiled, "You have finally t Nyx," her smile turned into a grin.
"Mmh-mmh, but I have not t your son," he cleared his throat, "I heard a rumor.. I do not know if is-- true," his eyes darted between Nyx, and Dora, afraid to say he was thrown in the crimson Den.
"It is," Nyx replied calmly, "Hopefully if he wakes up, everything will be fine."
He hung his head, ’Too bad I have not t him yet," his voice dropped.
"You will, very soon," Dora handed the bowl to Nyx, "Here you go."
Nyx opened the keg, pouring the potion into the bowl.
"It has beco thick all of a sudden," Dora bead.
"It does not take a long ti before it cools off, then it becos thick," she replied.
"What is it for?" Klaus got to his feet.
"For healing your uncle’s wounds obviously," Dora scowled at him.
"Hm," his lips turned downwards.
Nyx took so of it. Furthermore, she applied the potion to the wound.
Dora, Klaus just watched on.
Each ti she touched a fresh wound, her heart would shatter into a million pieces, over, and over again.
"Look what I have caused," she whispered, tears filling her eyes, "I am sorry," she swallowed hard.
Dora held her shoulder, "Calm down Nyx, do not grow so emotional, okay?"
Nyx nodded, saring her face against her right arm, "Yes, I am trying."
Klaus watched her with pity in his eyes, "It is okay, do not cry," he tried consoling her.
"I am fine," she nodded, trying to force her tears back in. She continued applying the potion till she had done so, on all of the wounds.
Nyx inhaled sharply, "Dora, co apply the ointnts, please," she rose to her feet, "I have to go prepare a dicine for him. Hopefully, that should start make him gain consciousness."
Dora nodded, "Just do not overthink, okay."
Nyx tightened her lips brushing past her, heading to the door, "Of course," she straightened her shoulders.
