Her tear dropped on the papers in front of her. She sniffed and looked up at Mark and Elena who gave her pitiful look, they were sorry for her.
"His Majesty requests you to sign it." He said quietly.
Nyx pressed her lips together, she shakily took the quill from him. She was shaking terribly, she put the quill on the paper to sign. She rested against the wall and sniffed, looking at the ceiling. She couldn't believe that it was about to end this way.
She would now watch another woman slowly replace her in the life of the man she loved. She held back her tears and signed the quickly.
She gave it back to Mark and ran out on them. Mark looked at Elena who only shook her head sadly.
She got to the main entrance and wanted to run out but a guard stopped her.
"I am sorry, but you can not go out. Lord Oberon commanded us not to let you go anywhere."
Nyx creased her brows, he seriously wanted her to stay here? Let her watch how he married soone else?
She tried to wiggle herself past the guard, "Let go, I want to leave this place!" She scread.
The guard tried his best to stall her but she was was too slippery and more energetic than him.
She slipped past him and broke through the entrance running towards the main gate.
So of the guards at the entrance gripped her but she would bite them and run past them.
She had reached the gate and was about to push through when she felt a arm grip her. She tried to wrangle her arms free but she could not. Her eyes were growing weaker and she went blank.

Everywhere was blurry, it seed to grow darker whenever she tried to open her eyes. She groaned and opened her eyes. She looked around, she was in a room that wasn't hers.
She tried to get down but was too weak to do so, despite her weakness, she tried to get down but soone held her back.
"You can not go anywhere in this state." She heard Oberon's voice.
She snapped her hand from his, "Do not touch !"
"Stop being stubborn," he frowned.
"I am being stubborn?"
"Stop this Nyx, why do you not understand ?"
She looked away, "I understand you perfectly," she said calmly.
"You really wanted to run away?"
"What else should I do here? I am no longer your wife." She sneered.
He kept quiet, he tried to make her look at him but she refused to et his gaze.
"Look at Nyx," he said softly.
She shook her head.
"I am sorry, I know how you feel..."
"You do not!" She snapped.
He sighed, she was angry. He allowed her to vent her sorrow.
"If I had found Selene earlier, I would not have married you."
She shook her head in disbelief, "Why did it have to be ? Besides, you just let sit in the dark the whole ti."
"I wanted to tell you but I knew I would hurt you feelings if I did. So I just decided to let it be."
"It would have been better if you had told then. Do you think it is better when I found out about it now?" Her voice broke.
"I am really sorry Nyx, I will make it up to you," he said softly.
She shut her eyes, she was pregnant to make it worse.
"I do not want anything. Just leave alone."
"Please do not try to run away. You can stay here, you could be my mistress if you want."
She looked at him with widened eyes, "Huh?"
A mistress? A goddamned mistress! She was all the more enraged.
He gently patted her cheek, "I will leave you to it," he stood up and left the room.
When he had left, she lay back on the bed and resud her sobbing. He was the most inconsiderate man she had ever seen.
She cursed him over and over again. There was no way she was staying here, she was definitely going to leave this place, whether he asked her to stay or not.
She looked around the room, there was a small window at the far end of the room. She ran to it and checked outside. It was way high up and there was no way she could jump down.
"I will need a rope if I have to get down." She searched the room to see if she could find one. She couldn't find any. Her eyes landed on the bedsheets, since there was no rope, she would use the bedsheets.
She walked back to the bed and knotted the bedsheets together. She tied one end to the bed and the other end around herself.
She went to the window, exhaled and gently climbed down the palace walls. She got down and released herself from that rope. She looked around and ran towards the main gate.
Luckily, there was no one there. She tried opening the gate but it was locked. She tried several tis but to no avail. She bit her lips in frustration.
She wished she could just vanish out of here. She looked at the walls and scaled them, she had no choice.
She steadily climbed the wall, she was about to jump over when one of the guards saw her.
"She is about to run away!" He said.
She quickly jumped down in panic, she landed on her knees and they got scratched. She winced in pain and ran into the woods.
The guards ran after her to bring her back to the palace but she outran them. She was so scared but she ran as fast as she could.
They were catching up on her and she was getting weaker.
"We have to catch her, do not let her go just like that." One of them said.
She tripped and fell. They ran to the spot she fell on.
"No! Let go!"
