Archi walked briskly masked under the shadows trying to reach the guards quarters.
"Such a pain I have to do this every night all because soone would not do things right twenty years ago," he rolled his eyes.
He had to walk all the way to the back of the palace to avoid the guards who were on duty that night at the main entrance of the door.
"Ugh," he groaned, as he felt his right foot hit a stone, "Damn it!" He clenched his jaw.
He bent down to look at the wound, "This is not what should be happening to at the mont," he carelessly wiped it off with a swipe of his thumb.
"So much for just trying to reach the guards quarters in peace!" He almost scread, but he reminded himself that it was already night ti.
He forced himself to stand up, then pushed himself to continue walking.
Be bad reached the back to the palace now, all he.jusr had to do, was to make sure he discreetly made it past the few guards who would he hoarding st the back door.
He stamped his left foot, "co on, let us go," he urged himself on, then he poked his head from behind the wall to see who exactly were guarding the back.
To his surprise, there was no one there. His face went red with happiness, ’No one guards this place?" His eyes widened, "Oh well, good riddance," he chuckled.
He ca out fully from his hiding place, "We will call it a night then," he shoved his hands on his pockets, then walked across the back door, whistling softly.
"Logan?" He heard a soft voice call.hkd na.
He froze in place recognizing who that voice belonged to. His heart was now thumping real hard and fast.
He slowly turned on his heels, and there she was standing all innocent.
"Hey, Aria," his face flushed.
Her eyes brightened, "Logan it is good to see you again," she closed the gap between them, wrapping her hands around his waist.
"Have you been avoiding ?" She looked up at him with large puppy eyes.
He let out a nervous chuckle, "? Avoiding.. you.. no..what? How can I?" His forehead was already perspiring.
"Definitely not, I am not doing that," he managed to say, aggressively biting his lower lip.
"That is okay, I missed you," she buried her face in his chest.
His heart was now threatening to pull out of his chest, his hands shook as he wrapped his hands around her, "Oh, that is nice," he stuttered.
She pulled away, "Are you okay? Why are you sweating on a chilly evening?" She arched her brows.
"Sweating?" He held his head, "oh right," he wiped his forehead with his right hand, "Sorry," he blushed.
Aria watched him with interest, "You are behaving quite funny this evening," she chuckled, "It is okay, calm down," she held his hand.
He nodded, but tensed up when he felt her hand on his. They were a warm contrast against his cold ones.
"Wh- why are you here? Is your father here in the Palace?"
She shook her head, "No, I just decided to spend the evening here. It is one privilege I have," she shook her shoulders.
"That is good," he swallowed hard.
Her face turned sour, "Is sothing wrong? What did I do?" She pouted.
"No, I am just.. a little overwheld," he hung his head, "I am sorry," he scratched his head.
She tugged at his hand, "Do you hate or sothing? What did I do wrong?"
His heart crushed into pieces, "Hey, you did not do anything wrong, I am just.." his words failed him.
She slowly let go of his hands, and this crushed his heart.
"That is fine, maybe I should go," she turned on her heels, then walked away.
"Aria wait!" He gasped, "Please do not go."
"How co you do not want to leave, and at the sa ti you are being so cold to.."
He exhaled deeply, "Listen, I am sorry if that is the impression I am giving. I am really nervous around you, so.. I just.. tend to act that way when I am really nervous."
She stopped in her tracks, "Really?" She turned to face him,"Why are you nervous?"
His face flushed even more, "I am not nervous," he managed to say, his face now dripping with swear.
Aria reached for a small cloth with which she has wrapped around her right wrists. She untied it from around her wrists, then wiped his forehead with it, "You seem drained, nervous, excited all at the sa ti, I wonder what is going on with you tonight," she exhaled.
He held her hands as she tried dropping it by her side, "Aria," he called softly.
"Hm?"
"I do not an to creep you out, I am sorry," he took her hand, then kissed it.
Her cheeks ward up. His cold lips had caused a kind of fire to course through her body. She swallowed hard, trying to control her racing heart.
"That is fine, it is natural to act out of place sotis," she flashed him a warm smile.
Her smile just seed to drive all those rage he was harboring a while a ago. All he just wanted was to lt in her embrace so she could drive all his rage away.
"You do not look happy," her voice broke into his train of thoughts, "You are a rollercoaster of emotions tonight," she chuckled nervously.
"I know it is kind of late but, will you take a walk with ? I am not really in a good mood," he stretched out his hand again, hoping she would take it.
She gladly took his hand, "Of course, I would love to. I was feeling really bored anyways," she flipped her hair to the side, "Let us go."
He looked at her with his eyes lit up, she was just the most beautiful she wolf ever.
"So Logan, tell more about yourself?" She tugged at his shirt a little.
"There is nothing much about really," he cleared his throat.
"What? Are you so kind of mysterious wolf?" She teased him.
"I think I am," he gently squeezed her hand, "I think I am."
"Oh co on, there must be sothing about you I deserve to know at least."
"That I am not a good person?" He mumbled.
"What?"
He stopped walking, turned to face her, taking both of her hand in his, "Aria, I just hope that one day when you really know what is going on, you will find a place in your heart to forgive ."
She knotted her brows im confusion, "What are you talking about? What is really going on?"
He leaned forward, and pressed a light kiss on her left cheek, "One day, you will know."
"But.."
He released her other hand, "Let us go," he tugged her gently so they continued walking.
Aria narrowed her eyes, was this Logan guy hiding sothing?
