Nyx sat in the living room, knitting a sweater. Archi went up to et her, sitting on her lap.

"Mother," he called.

"Yes?"

"I can not sleep. I feel restless."

She looked down at him, "what is the matter?"

"I had a terrifying dream. It is still bothering ," he closed his eyes, resting his head in her bosom.

"What was it about?"

He pouted, "I saw.. him.."

"Who?"

*

"Father’s uncle."

"Okay? What did he do?"

"He was chasing , with a sword. I outran him in the beginning, but it seed he was catching up to ."

Nyx listened patiently, her heart racing with anxiety.

"He eventually caught up with , and drew out his sword to slay . Then, out of no where, father ca, and slew him instead."

Nyx raised her brows, "Oh?"

He nodded, "it was terrifying. There was blood, and a lot of other terrifying things in that dream," he sniffled.

Nyx embraced him, "calm down. It was just a dream," she caressed his hair.

"Why was it so scary?"

She sighed, she also didn’t know what that dream ant, and it scares her too, but what could she do?

"Uh.. Archi.. sotis, we have certain dreams, probably because of what you saw earlier, and your brain must have misinterpreted it."

"Hmm, what did I see earlier?" He creased his brows in thought. His eyes lit up at the mory of sothing.

"Oh! Earlier today, father had killed a bear who wanted to kill a bobcat. Is that what must have turned into my dream?"

"Probably. Just go back to sleep. It is not that serious," she patted his head.

He nodded, and slid down her laps, "Thank you mother," he kissed her cheek, and went back to his room.

Nyx watched him as he went back.

"What does that dream an?" She squinted her eyes in thought, "Archi, Oberon, and his uncle were in his dream, what could that an? How are they related?"

She bit her lips, "now, this had made restless too," she dropped her knitting pin, too worried to continue with what she was doing.

She rested her eyes, and rested her head on the chair, "that must have had a aning to it, but I do not know what."

She tightened her lips, "I should probably tell Oberon about this."

She stood up, and went outside. She saw Oberon sitting outside, drawing sothing on the ground.

"Are you okay?" She touched his shoulder.

He looked up, "oh, Nyx."

She sat beside him, "you can not sleep?"

He shook his head, "No, I was thinking of sothing, and wanted to plot it out."

She curled her lips, "Archi had a dream," she whispered, "worry returning back to her eyes."

He arched his brow, ’"what was it about?"

She narrated it to him as Archi had narrated to her.

"Hmph, that.. why are you worried?"

"I feel, that must have had a aning."

He shrugged, "it would be nice if I actually killed him," he grinned.

"Stop making it look like a joke," she frowned at him.

He went sober, "I was not joking though," he sighed.

He smiled, "That should not be sothing to worry about. Okay?"

"I am already worried."

He wrapped a hand around her shoulder, "hey, who knows, that dream might be a good on. According to what you said, he did not touch him. So that should not be a problem. I saved him."

She blinked her eyes, "I guess. What if this has a warning in it?"

"I do not think so," he shook his head, "You worry too much," he tapped her forehead lightly."

"He said your uncle was chasing him. What if it happens, of course I am worried for my son."

His smile slowly disappeared. He bit his lips, and looked away.

Nyx felt a pang of guilt hit her, she didn’t an to hurt him.

"I am sorry," she whispered.

He shook his head, "no, it is fine. I understand."

Nyx tightened her grip on Oberon’s shoulder, her eyes pleading. "Oberon, you have to do sothing. I can’t lose him. Not to so curse, not to your uncle’s ghost, or whatever this is. You need to protect our son."

Oberon turned to face her fully, taking her hands in his. The strength in his gaze reassured her, but there was an undercurrent of fear he couldn’t hide. "I will, Nyx. I swear to you, I will protect Archi with everything I have. Whatever it takes."

"But how?" Nyx pressed, her voice trembling. "What if this is beyond us, beyond anything we can fight?"

"There are ways," Oberon said, his voice firm. "Old ways, ways my uncle himself feared. He may have been powerful, but he wasn’t invincible. If he’s truly haunting Archi, then we can fight back. But I will need ti to prepare, to gather what’s needed."

"Promise , Oberon. Promise you won’t let anything happen to Archi."

"I promise," he said, pulling her into a tight embrace. "I won’t let him touch our son. Not while I’m still breathing."

In the grand halls of Aegis’s palace, Neriah stood before the throne, a cunning smile playing on his lips. The air was thick with tension, the shadows in the room seeming to writhe with the anticipation of what was to co.

Aegis, with a towering figure with an air of authority, regarded Neriah with interest. "You claim you can help capture Oberon," Aegis said, his voice echoing through the chamber. "But why should I trust you? What it is in it for you?"

Neriah’s smile widened, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous light. "Oberon has sothing that belongs to . Sothing I want back. And I know that you have your own reasons for wanting him out of the way."

Aegis leaned forward, intrigued. "What exactly are you proposing?"

"I know Oberon better than anyone," Neriah said confidently. "I know his weaknesses, his fears. And I know how to exploit them. But I can not do it alone. With your resources and my knowledge, we can bring him down together."

"Besides, He is in the Eastern part of the forest."

Aegis’s eyes glead with interest, but he remained silent, waiting for more.

Neriah smirked, enjoying the power he held in this mont. "He’s not alone, though. His mother, Elena, is with him."

At the ntion of Elena, a flicker of sothing dark and primal flashed in Aegis’s eyes. His lips curled into a predatory grin. "Elena, you say?" His voice dripped with lust, a hunger that Neriah recognized all too well. "It’s been too long since I have seen her. You do not know how much I want her."

Neriah nodded, suppressing a shudder. He had always known Aegis’s obsession with Elena, an obsession that had driven a wedge between Aegis and Alcide in the first place.

"Elena," he repeated, savoring the na. "It has been years since I last felt her. She was always... special."

Neriah’s face remained neutral, though he felt a shiver of unease at the look in Aegis’s eyes. He continued, "But that is not all. Nyx, Dora, and Archi are with them as well."

Aegis leaned forward, his interest clearly piqued. "So, the whole family is together, then. This is better than I could have imagined. They are all in one place, vulnerable."

Neriah nodded, sensing Aegis’s rising excitent. "Yes. But if you want to capture Oberon, we need to be careful. He’s powerful, and he will not co willingly."

Aegis stroked his chin, his mind already working on a plan. "You are right. We need to lure him out, away from the safety of his family. But it must be done in a way that he suspects nothing. He is too clever to fall for sothing obvious."

Neriah hesitated for a mont, then spoke up. "What if I brought them all? Oberon loves them so much, I think it would be easier that way?"

"Would it?"

"Yes. Since he loves them, he would follow them around of course. I think I know what to do."

"Well, do it then. I am willing to reward you greatly.

Neriah smiled, "Okay. Expect it to happen before this week ends."

"Okay."

He bowed, "I will see you another ti."

"Thank you. Who are you?"

"I am no one."

"What?"

"Just call no one."

He arched his brow, "What kind of a na is that?"

He sighed, "it does not matter. Expect them very soon," he said, and left the throne room.

Aegis grinned, "hmm, a traitor. This is the reason why you watch who you call a friend," he laughed, "poor Oberon, he is going to get to on a platter of gold," he laughed sarcastically.

"I just can not wait for that mont," his eyes darkened, rage flashing in his eyes.

"Till then."

."I have got a plan," he began without preamble, his eyes gleaming with a determined fire. "A plan to get your throne back. But it involves going to the palace."

Oberon’s expression hardened, a mix of skepticism and concern flashing in his eyes. "The palace? You know the dangers that lie there, Neriah. My family has already been through enough.

Neriah leaned closer, his tone softening. "This plan has risks, yes, but it’s also the only way forward. We’ll be careful, and I’ll be by your side every step of the way. Trust , Oberon."

"Nyx and Archi would be happy to go with you," Neriah continued, undeterred by Oberon’s apprehension. "This is a chance to reclaim what’s yours, to restore balance."

Oberon’s mind raced, the thought of his wife and son stepping into the heart of danger filling him with dread. "And what if sothing happens to them?" he asked, his voice laced with worry. "I cannot risk their safety for a throne."
