"At last! Your pack now belongs to ! Ha! Victory at long last!"

Kael lay on the floor. He felt defeated, and useless. His last chance of avenging himself, and as usual, he failed.

"Co on, bound them, take them back to the palace. I have so interrogation to do!"

His warriors quickly began their work, binding Kael and his defeated warriors.

Kael felt so ashad of himself. He couldn’t believe he had just screwed everything up. He had failed himself, Oberon, and his pack.

Aegis kept taking in his triumph, "You have always been a failure Kael. I still do not know the reason you choose to beco what you are not. Now defeat is looking you in the face," he laughed sarcastically.

Aegis’s warriors took them away, Aegis following behind, still taking in his victory.

"This is the best thing I have ever done in years," he leered.

***

"Co on, tell , where were you going?"

"No where," Kael refused to say anything about Oberon’s whereabouts.

Aegis laughed, "stop being stubborn, you know very well what I could do to you right?"

Kael said nothing.

"Co on, tell where you were going? Is it related to Oberon?"

Kael remained silent.

"Of course, you will not say anything," Aegis bit his lips, already getting frustrated.

"Kael tell where you were going, or else sothing not too nice will happen to you."

"I do not care. Do your worst, I still refuse to be an ally to your evil deeds."

"You rember you are now under ? You are weak, and can do nothing. Even your pack is on the palm of my hand."

"Tell where you were going. My instincts tell you were going to visit Oberon."

"Aegis, I will not answer any of your questions. Please, keep them to yourself."

Aegis was furious, he thought of killing him at once, but Kael had information he needed.

He held his head, obviously frustrated by Kael, "what will I do with you?" He groaned.

"You might make resort to toture," he gritted his teeth.

"Do your worst, there is nothing you can do to make tell you anything!"

He slamd the armrest, "Kael, stop this foolishness! I do not want to kill you, I am being kind enough not to do that!"

Kael shook his head, "since you have , kill then, since you are so bloodthirsty today."

He clenched his fists, "oh, you are being hard hearted right? Fine!"

He stood up, "guards!"

They ca rushing in.

"Your majesty," they bowed.

"Since Kael here is being so hard, let teach him a lesson," he growled.

"What should we do with him your majesty?"

"Take him to the Crimson Den!"

"Yes, your majesty," they grabbed his arms, and began to drag him to the Crimson Den.

"Do to all you want Aegis! You can kill if you want, but one thing is for sure, you will not stay as ruler for long!

Torture him till he tells you everything!" Aegis yelled after them.

He bit his lips, already tensed up, "how annoying! That child thinks he can challenge !"

He paced forth and back the room, "ah damnit! I have to find Oberon, whatever it takes, if I do not finish him, he will beco a threat later in the future."

He held his head, "ugh! I made a big mistake. I should have finished him off that day. What a fool I am," he slapped his forehead.

----

A guard ca into the throne, "your majesty."

"What is it now?"

"He is still refusing to say anything. What should we do?"

Aegis was boiling with rage, "oh goodness, what is wrong with him?!"

He gritted his teeth, "That damn rogue!"

"What should we do?"

He scratched his head, "I am trying to think," he bit his lips.

"What kind of torture have you used on him?"

"Claw locking, lunar depression, silver binding, and he still will not spill."

"How co he is still not budging? Are you not doing it hard enough?"

"We have tried all we have, but it is not working."

He sighed, "I see, he is quite a hard nut to crack, is he not?" He muttered.

He nodded, "leave him to . I will handle myself," he said huskily.

The guard bowed, and left.

Aegis had to go to the Crimson Den himself, swearing under his breath.

"He is such a pain in the ass. Ugh!"

He walked through his halls, walking slowly. His head trying to think of the perfect torture sche, to torture Kael with.

"I was not expecting him to be so strong. He is stronger than I thought," he growled in disappointnt.

He reached the mouth of the Den, "I might need a little help moon goddess, this is quite a tough one," he muttered to himself, and went inside.

Kael sat on the ground, bound in chains, looking so weak. He had a lot of cuts, and injuries on him.

"See what you have done to yourself," Aegis shook his head.

"You could have avoided all this, if you had just told everything back then."

"I.. still.. will not tell you anything," he spat out blood.

Aegis held his head in disbelief, "How are you this stubborn?"

Kael closed his eyes, "You are.. n-not, the ruler of the lycanthropy pack, Oberon will still co back for his throne, and it will happen very soon."

Aegis was furious. His claws sprang out, and he slashed it across Kael’s face, "I will kill you. I will better off, finding Oberon myself!"

Kael’s eyes grew weaker by the minute, ’kill then. Do your worst," he said weakly.

Aegis went to a corner of the room, "it is a win for anyway," he spoke as he went to that part of the room, and drew out a sword.

"I am now in control, your pack belongs to now!" He smirked.

He went back to where Kael sat, "any last words?"

"Oberon will get his throne back, in a way you did not imagine. Just watch and see."

Aegis’s face grew red with rage, he ran the sword though his heart, and it stuck out on the other side.

"Since, you are being so stubborn, this is what you get," he cursed him.

He growled, "how foolish," he drew the sword out of his chest, and dropped the sword, and walked out of the room casually.

Aegis sighed as soon as he reached his throne room.

"I never wanted to kill you Kael, you caused this, now you should pay for what you have done," he held his head.

A tear slid down from his left eye, "what have you made done Kael? All I wanted was Oberon’s whereabouts, yet you refused to give in."

"I am sorry Kael, but I do not want any threat to my throne. My father stripped of that right, and i only fought to get it back, and I am still fighting to keep it."

He broke down in tears, sohow regretting killing Kael.

"Just forgive Kael, all I want is the throne and nothing else."

He wiped his eyes, as soon as heard a knock on the door.

It was Kael’s second in command, Luke. He bowed before Aegis.

"Your majesty."

"He is dead."

Luke raised his head, "already? That was quick."

Aegis threw him an annoyed look.

"Sorry, I do not an to upset you. I was only expressing my surprise," he chuckled.

"It is official now. You are now the ruler of the crescent pack."

Luke laughed for a while, "At last! The mont I have been waiting for."

"It has co to you," Aegis replied coldly.

"What do we do with his body?"

"Are you asking that? Do whatever you want with it. I never wanted to kill him in the first place."

"You must be appreciated then. Thank you so much Lord Aegis, you have been of imnse help."

Aegis grunted, "Leave."

"Of course, your majesty," he bowed, and turned around.

"Wait.. what about my n?"

"You can take them back, and if you want his body, he is in the Crimson Den."

Aegis sighed, "hm, sorry Kael, he wanted you dead, and that was an opportunity to kill you.

He sat down and rested his head on the throne, "I will continue searching for you Oberon, and when I finally get you, it will be over."

He looked at the ceiling, the last encounter with a pack proved to be unsuccessful.

He was discouraged, and frustrated. In his bid to find Oberon, he had committed murder.

His face was red with rage, "when I get my hands on Oberon," he clenched his fists, his eyes lighting up with fury.

"I will make sure to end him, and that child of his. He should go through what he put ."

He stood up, "I am the king, and no one else!"
