"Alright. You are the boss. I highly doubt that, because everyone in the warehouse is saying that you are like a baby, sleeping soundly for seven days. But again, you're the boss.", Raphael said as he closed the door behind him as he left.
"Called a baby?", Lucas felt rage well up in his chest.
"Chill out. It is just a bunch of kids who don't have anything else to do. Now, tell . What happened in there? What was so difficult to face that even the god of destruction could not defeat it until it bought the marquess enough ti to escape?", Praneeth asked.
"I told you. Wait for everyone to co. I have no intention of telling every single person the sa thing again and again.", Lucas said.
Praneeth nodded, as he laid back on his chair. Lucas did the sa, and he looked at the door.
A few minutes passed. The first person to arrive was surprisingly Mu Chen. He walked in and sat next to Praneeth. He looked at Lucas. Lucas nodded towards Mu Chen. Mu Chen did not nod back.
"I thought that you would give at least a chance to use the chain. Who would have thought that it would beco such a big disappointnt? You almost died, but you still did not release the wolf within you. I had to carry a huge burden for a whole day, and that was all for nothing.", Mu Chen said.
"You wanted to lose control? I thought that this was the side where human loss was not acceptable. You wanted to turn into a huge wolf that would kill everything in sight?", Lucas raised his eyebrow.
"h. I would have restrained you in an instant. You just didn't give a chance to. Or you would be howling like a newly born werewolf on a full moon. It would have been such a sight to see.", Mu Chen said, licking his lips.
"Now you are getting on my nerves. Praneeth. Just keep him on a leash will you. I am already mad at Michael. I don't want to kill everyone here as well.", Lucas said coldly.
"Mu Chen. Calm down. Stop poking him. You know that he is angry right now. He is just not showing it.", Praneeth said.
Mu Chen snickered. He looked at Lucas, as if taunting him.
"What happened to him while I was down under? He is begging to be killed by .", Lucas pointed towards Mu Chen.
"He is just drunk from yesterday. We had so monkey wine.", Praneeth said.
"You had so monkey wine? Did you save so for ? Co on. You had to have saved so for .", Lucas said as he got up all of a sudden.
Praneeth bit his lip. "The wine is not mine. I can not speak for it.", he shook his head.
Lucas slamd the table in front of him with frustration. The place where he hit the table started cracking. There was a hole right where Lucas hit the table.
"Michael is going to get MAAAD.", Mu Chen snickered.
"How much did you even give him? He is acting like he drank a whole vat all by himself.", Lucas said.
Praneeth looked at Mu Chen and then back at Lucas. "You gave him a whole vat but didn't leave anything for ?", Lucas asked him with shock. With anger, he raised his hand again.
"Don't hit the table with your frustration. This eting room will beco pointless without a table. Give the poor man so respect.", Praneeth stopped Lucas from hitting the table.
"What is happening here? Why is the table broken? Lucas. What did you do to my table?", Michael's voice ca from the door.
"You are finally here Michael.", Lucas smiled. Michael felt a shiver down his spine.
"What happened? Did sothing happen? What did I do? What did you think I did?", Michael asked Lucas a bunch of questions as he pressed his back against the walls and he moved to the edge of the room, right behind Praneeth.
"Why is everyone sitting next to Praneeth? As if he will protect you. He is just a joke. That day, when the marquess saw him peeking, she just spoke a few words and injured him. So much for having the power of a god within your eye. It was just a joke after all.", Lucas said.
Praneeth did not respond. He was looking at the door.
"Looks like everyone is finally here.", he said.
Lucas turned around to look at the door. A few suspenseful seconds passed, and the door opened. Arthur, Eva, Angela, and Raphael walked in with a single file.
"Take a seat. For the mont I will forget all of the offenses that I have faced till now, and I will be the bigger man and talk about the more important things. Clearly, I am the only one here that is serious about what is happening, which is quite surprising. I an, I can always defect to the other side, and I won't face a hitch.", Lucas said. This touched a taboo subject, and the carefree expressions of everyone turned serious.
"You cannot joke about sothing like that.", Praneeth said.
"And you allowed Mu Chen to say sothing like that? You know how hard it was to hold all that rage in? I made sure that I wouldn't turn in the middle of the city. And that idiot said that he wanted to turn for entertainnt? Keep everyone in check, Praneeth. That is your goddamn job.", Lucas shouted.
"Is this what we ca here for? A shouting match?", Raphael asked.
"No. You ca here because I told you to co here. Now take a seat, so that I know what the hell happened after the fight was over.", Lucas growled.
