The council mbers were not having a good ti either. They walked till the elevators only to find that they were slamd shut, and the shaft itself was made from reinforced titanium, so breaking through the doors was going to take ti. They were forced to look for the stairs.
"I swear, once I find this Peter character, I will let him taste every single one of my experints.", Mu Chen cursed as he climbed up step by step trailing behind everyone else.
"If you think that the bag is heavy, then why don't you give it to so one else?", Michael asked him.
"I am not giving this to anyone. Even if I will have to sweat a little more.", Mu Chen adamantly refused.
Everyone shrugged as they continued walking. The area was silent, and nothing could be heard.. Every single one of them was vigilant, and they looked around to make sure that no one could sneak up on them.
As they reached the entrance to the second floor, Eva stopped them. "Do you guys not feel this? The power here? There is clearly soone here, or was, because there are remnants of black magic here.", she warned them.
"Black magic? Now that is new. I was absolutely sure that most traces were removed. Damn, I hate the sll of black magic. It is just revolting the way that they go about their ways.", Lucas shook his head.
"Was that you speaking or Fenrir? Cause I am sure that there is absolutely no difference between Fenrir and black magic, except the way that they go about it.", Arthur scoffed.
"No difference?", a deep voice arose from Lucas' direction. "No difference? Black magic is just a vulgar substitute to those who couldn't gain approval from Lucifer and still wanted his power. How dare you compare with those runts. What I do is an art. I am the true word of the world. I deliver chaos, the rightful state. You mortals have no right to diminish what I do.", the voice shouted.
Praneeth saw this and shook his head. "Both of you, stop fighting like children. This is not the ti, nor the place for sothing like this. We are in enemy territory, and we could be facing an attack at any mont. Fenrir, do you sense anyone within the floor?", he asked Fenrir.
"Keke, do not worry, if Lucas is in mortal danger, I will co out. But why would I spoil the fun? I waited patiently for weeks just for this action.", the voice disappeared.
Seeing this, Eva spit on the floor. "A child, that's who he is. Loki really should learn how to raise his kids."
"Let us keep going. We cannot stop here.", Lucas said, his voice cold and monotone. Michael looked at Lucas with a complicated face, but hesitated in saying anything and looked away.
All of them stepped forward into the next floor. A gust of wind from seemingly nowhere just crashed on their face. Lucas frowned, but they kept walking. Slowly, step by step, they noticed sothing.
"Where is this mist coming from? I can't see through it at all. Eva, is this the black magic that you talked about?", Michael looked at Eva.
"No, the spell itself should be at a much larger scale. It could be encompassing the whole floor itself. All of us should stick together, so that it will be easy to face anyone who cos at us.", she warned everyone.
They walked forward, but they were confused on the layout of the floor itself. There were walls everywhere, and it seed that there was no other utility of the floor.
"We are stuck in a goddamn maze.", Lucas realized as he punched the nearest wall to him. The place that he struck the wall crumbled into pieces of rubble, but before they could even react, the wall quickly restored itself in a heart beat.
Eva's voice quivered. "Did you guys not see that? She, she is redith! redith is in the building! What the hell is going on here? Why is she here. I am out of there. I am out of here.", she was getting more agitated by the second. Seeing this, everyone quickly held their hands to their ears.
"Aaaaaahhhhhhh", a high pitch shrill ca from Eva, and all the mist around them just disappeared in an instant.
