His loud howl reverberated through out the entire building, no matter which floor. Above him, the mbers of the council did not have pretty faces.
"Praneeth! If you knew what was down there, then why didn't you stop him? If he loses control, then we are going to have to play all our cards imdiately.", Arthur gnashed his teeth.
"What even is down there?", Michael asked ekly.
Praneeth sighed. "His brethren. The strays that he had taken into his pack. All of them, dead. Tortured to death. None of them are going to have an easy ride to heaven. They will all be making a trip to Anubis for a trial, and there is a big chance that many will fail.", he shook his head.
"You know better than to show him sothing so grueso right? He is already so angry, why would you allow him to beco more agitated? Now he is going to beco driven by emotion, and the worst one at that.", Angela asked Praneeth.
"What am I going to do? Hide this from him? He had to know anyways. If I hid it from him, then soone could even use it against , and when he knows, later on, the recoil would be even worse. You have to carefully weigh your options. The choice that you wanted to make if you were in my position was one driven by fear, was it not? Isn't that also driven by emotion?", Praneeth calmly said.
All of them felt a shudder below on the ground. They stepped back on instinct.
"It seems that he is very angry. Let him exhale it out.", Praneeth said calmly.
"Exhale it calmly? Do you think that a few punches on the wall will let him forget the scene that he saw? When he ca to my place, he thought that his pack left him and ran away. He thought that they also betrayed him. Now, seeing that they are dead, he is going to bla himself for their death? And what can we even say? He was cooped up in that bunker of his for a month! He is going to think that he should have gone and faced Peter imdiately.", Michael explained his own concerns.
"What do you an? That idiot always thinks the worst. So pessimistic. Now, look how it ca to bite us back. What are we going to do now?", Eva asked.
All of them heard a rattling sound in the back. They turned back to see Mu Chen with a pair of shackles and chains in his hands.
"What? I am not taking any chances here. If he attacks us in his emotionally outburst, I am going to bound him.", Mu Chen said.
"Well then, let us just hope that he isn't that stupid as to go crazy.", Arthur sighed.
"Wait. Praneeth, is there no one else in the building?", Michael asked.
"None that I can see. Why?", Praneeth responded.
"Why the hell did we even co here? To make sure that Lucas can complete his revenge without any incident. Where the hell is Peter in all of this? He has to be sowhere. If he is not in the base, where could he possibly be? He does not have any money, he was a stray that Lucas took in. Wait, what if-", Michael's mouth went agape when a thought struck his mind.
"What did you think of Michael? Do you know sothing that we don't?", Arthur held Michael's collar with anger.
Ding! The elevator door opened. All the council mbers turned at the elevator with surprise. In their heated discussion, they did not realize that the elevator started moving. The doors opened, and a red-eyed Lucas walked out slowly. All of the mbers stood guard, but Lucas did not say anything. He walked past every single one of them. He stopped in front of Michael.
"Tell now. Where is that bitch's lair? Where does the goddamn Marquess live?", his hoarse voice echoed all around the floor.
