Sexist:

Daemon’s Definition:

A man who doesn’t appreciate the beauty of won.

ZINA

Zina barely had the chance to process the words when a flash of red fountain spilled, splashing against her dark dress and her face.

The Beta’s scream perated the air, painting the atmosphere red while birds of the air scampered for safety.

In a daze, Zina realised that Fionna’s silver dagger was buried sowhere suspiciously close to the Beta’s priced jewels. Or perhaps, the dagger had t its mark.

The other woman had moved so fast that Zina only had the chance to track how everything had ended, possessing no mory of how it had begun in the first place.

The ground beneath them thrumd as Epsilons of the BloodMoon Pack surrounded them, claws and silver weapons bared against them. Their own Epsilons stood on guard too, their weapons on the ready.

It was the colour of chaos and anarchy. And between the Beta’s never ending shrill screams and Fionna’s impassive face, Zina didn’t know which was worse.

Before she could muster a word to calm the chaos, Fionna beat her to it...except the woman didn’t seem as interested in quelling the chaos.

"Oh my... so much blood..." she drawled, twisting the dagger even more into the burning flesh while an unnatural growl erupted from the Beta’s chest.

The man snarled, snipped at them, baring his canines. But he refused to move his lower body for fear that sothing even more terrible would be damaged. Although as far as Zina could see, dire harm had already been done.

Fionna was still unsmiling even as the Beta glared down at her. "Oops," she gasped dramatically although there was nothing remotely funny about the act. "It seems my hand slipped. I was aiming for your balls, but instead, I got your femoral artery instead."

Zina sighed with relief. She didn’t know how to pitch it to Daemon that she had sohow taken away a man’s ability to conceive. She couldn’t even begin to imagine the repercussions that awaited after their little stunt, but she promised herself that she would revisit the thought a mont later.

Steeling herself and ignoring the blood that still wouldn’t stop gushing, she asked. "Where is Alpha BloodMoon?"

If Zina had thought that Fionna’s harm would cause the man to start spilling the beans, then she was sourly wrong for he snarled. "I won’t speak with a low woman like you!"

The dagger was twisted even deeper and the man howled even louder. The Epsilons of the BloodMoon pack could only standby and watch the scene unfold through gritted teeth, fearing that any rash move would truly cost their Beta his precious jewels.

Zina was buried deep in her thoughts as she wondered why the Beta was being undeniably hardheaded. Could it be that the Alpha of the Pack was not around? If so, where was Alpha BloodMoon?

Or sowhere plotting cold blooded treason?

The Beta glowered at her, his eyes spitting fire. He probably thought Zina had all the ti in the world to interrogate him, and she was about to prove him wrong.

The man talked down to won more than eighty percent of n like him so his deaning words weren’t sothing new to Zina. In their world filled with male testosterones and egos that slt for miles, soone like Beta BloodMoon was just one more person in a very long list of people that believed only the strongest ruled their world.

With the coldest voice Zina only used on the most damned criminals, she said, "Fionna, perhaps we should cut off one of his balls and maybe then we would finally hear him sing the words we want to hear."

"NO!" The Beta scread, attempting to squirm out of Fionna’s grip. A feat that was not only impossible, but sent his blood flowing even more.

"If you touch , the Pack will co after YOU, you stupid Theta of an unknown origin!"

That was triggering to say but the least. Zina knew that many talked behind her back on the manner she had risen to power, but that hot afternoon had to be the first ti that she had truly heard the hatred people heard for her spoken in such colourful words.

"Stupid Theta?" Zina repeated, unable to keep down the laughter that was bubbling within her.

No more of the BloodMoon Epsilons were coming out and that told Zina that they were sowhere else... probably plotting treason.

She leaned down, swiping off the dagger that Fionna had tucked in her leather boots. The other woman’s eyes widened as if to ask how Zina knew it was there.

Zina smirked, eyes levelled on the Beta while she brought the dagger close to his eyes. The thing about being blind is that once you begin to see, many sights beco triggering. For an instance, the sight of a sleeping woman in a jolting carriage. The way her leather booths would slightly co down due to the motion and would then expose deadly weapons.

Before the Beta knew what was happening, Zina ramd the dagger into his thighs, and she could swear the sounds of his screams were like music to her ears.

But it wasn’t his screams that she heard. What she heard instead was how unusually silent a big Pack such as the BloodMoon was. What she heard was how no one else was coming for them. What she heard was the invisible pitter patter steps of treason.

It dawned on her that she was four hours away from the Castle with a hundred Epsilons. Daemon had taken away so in his secret three week voyage, and while Marcus had elite soldiers with him, their numbers might not be anything in comparison to whatever number of soldiers Alpha BloodMoon was probably leading towards the castle.

Dread filled her. Had she fought so much against Eldric’s reign only to end up in the thumb of another? Was this how her life would be?

She tried to tell herself that everything would surely be fine... that Daemon had made so plans, but it didn’t put her at ease. Afterall, the man was away, searching for a masked man.

"Now look in the eye and answer my question again," Zina gritted, twisting the dagger in his legs. This was no longer just about Yuri, this was about the throne of the Arctic North. "Where is Alpha BloodMoon?"
