“It’s not your fault at all, Mila. Plus, I didn’t just change the ti,” the prince said before grinning a little my way.

“I’m sorry but I’m not sure that I understand what you an,” I murmured softly as I kept on staring at the prince.

“We’re leaving this country,” he stated simply.

“We’re leaving? I an, what about the rest of the trip?” I asked while failing to hide my panic.

The official visit wasn’t over. In fact, we had only spent one day in the country, but the prince seed to have made up his mind to cancel the rest of the trip. My mouth hung open in shock as I wondered what was really going on.

“That’s right. After you’re done with breakfast, we can leisurely make our way to the airport. Don’t worry, everyone that needs to know about this has been inford and everything has been taken care of,” Prince Leonard told reassuringly.

“But...is this really, ok?” I asked with evident worry.

“Of course. So of the key staff will be staying behind to complete the trip as planned. As for us, we’re leaving,” the prince said decisively.

“Ok...” I murmured with a nod of my head.

If that was what the prince wanted, then I was completely fine with going along with it. Although this sudden change was confusing and unexpected for , I didn’t have any problems in respecting Prince Leonard’s decision in the matter. Not wanting to ask him any further questions about the issue, I decided to focus on finishing breakfast and preparing for our flight back to the palace.

...

The weather felt very pleasant and the ride back to the airport was smooth. Now that we were leaving, Prince Leonard seed more relaxed than before. Just like the prince had inford , many of the staff did not travel back to the airport with us because they had to remain for the rest of the planned trip. I wondered if there was so problem for the prince that made him need to leave earlier than planned like this.

The pilot made a few announcents regarding the weather on the flight before informing us that we would be taking off soon. I sat on the sa leather seat next to the prince as I waited for the plane to fly up into the sky. It still felt a little unnerving for but having Prince Leonard by my side was a great help in terms of ntal support.

“Are you tired, Mila?” the prince asked as he took my hand into his and gently held it.

“Not really. I’m fine...” I replied honestly.

“We did travel to a few places yesterday and then there was that dinner,” the prince said as he turned to stare directly into my eyes.

“We surely travelled to a few places yesterday. Thank you for inviting on this trip with you,” I thanked him with a smile.

“Not at all. The trip would have been quite boring without you here. I’m glad that you wanted to accompany ,” he replied kindly.

My heart skipped a beat at his kind words and the way that his beautiful lips had curved into a warm smile. His blue eyes looked as clear as the sky and I didn’t hesitate to admire them as I held his gaze.

“You seem very interested in everything that they showed us...” I said softly.

“I’m interested because I have to be,” he replied casually.

“Because it’s part of your job?” I asked with so surprise.

“Sothing like that...” he replied vaguely.

I just smiled without saying anything because I could sense that the prince no longer wanted to talk about it, or anything related to his work for that matter. Perhaps one day, he would tell more about his role and what he was trying to achieve in his work. I wondered how the things that were shown to us were relevant to the prince’s job. My mind recalled the various technologies and research that we were shown, and it was clearly evident that everything seed to be sohow directly or indirectly related to improving won’s fertility and the chances that she would conceive a baby.

Did the won in the prince’s country have trouble conceiving?

“How long will it take for us to arrive back at the palace?” I asked.

“In a few days,” he replied before grinning my way.

“In a few days? But...it only took so hours on our way here...” I replied questioningly.

I had no idea why the trip back would take so much longer than the trip on our way here. The look of confusion and astonishnt on my face must have looked quite funny to the prince before he ended up laughing at my reaction. That was when I thought that he was just teasing with his answer.

“You’re just teasing again, aren’t you? You shouldn’t do that...” I muttered.

“Who says that I’m teasing you? I just told you the truthful answer,” he replied while still laughing softly.

“I don’t understand...” I replied with a slight shake of my head.

“We’re not heading back to the palace just yet. We’re making a stop first,” the prince announced as he reached out a hand to stroke my hair.

“Where are we going?” I asked in wonder.

“You’ll see soon enough. This flight is going to be a few hours longer, so I suggest you take a nap and make sure that you get plenty of rest, Mila,” he advised with a smile.

“You should tell where we’re going...” I muttered with a hint of complaint in my tone.

Sotis I like it when he surprises but there were tis like these when I got so anxious that I couldn’t keep still. I wondered where he was taking and why he had decided to skip the rest of the official visit to do sothing like this. My first guess was that the prince may have had so other work that he had to do that took precedence. Was that it?
