To it was such an embarrassing mont; however, I was certain that the other people didn’t feel that way.

“Prince Leonard has formally requested for you to act as his mate on the night of the full moon,” Mada Sand inford with clear excitent.

Although she was trying her best to sound composed and formal, I could see and hear just how excited she was from her tone of voice and the look in her eyes. Her enthusiasm made unsure of how I should react. Honestly, at first I only thought of the promise that the prince made with as a personal vow that was supposed to be share between us. It never occurred to that his choice would be made into such a public affair nor that it would catch the attention of so many people.

“I see. Thank you for letting know,” I murmured without knowing what else to say.

“You don’t sound so pleased or surprised. Did you already know about it?” she asked while looking slightly disappointed.

“Prince Leonard told beforehand so there’s hardly anything to be surprised about,” I replied while trying to sound polite.

“Well, since he spends ti with you, I guess it only makes sense that he would tell you beforehand or that you two have probably agreed to the arrangent before he made the formal request,” Mada Sand said understandingly with a nod of her head.

“Yes,” I replied in short.

Isn’t that how things are supposed to be?

“It’s good that you are not surprised. Do you have any questions on what should happen or what you should expect?” she asked with a suggestive smile.

I briefly recalled the little lecture that she gave before and quickly shook my head. She smiled at and seed satisfied enough. I felt a little tense and I couldn’t wait for her to leave so that I could be alone.

“Co with ,” Mada Sand instructed.

“Ok...” I mumbled as I stared at her curiously.

“Just co along for now. This is your first ti attending this kind of eting so it might be new for you at first. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it sooner or later,” she said as she walked out of my room.

I followed after her while wondering where she was going to lead . She did ntion sothing about a eting but what it was about or whom it was with, she didn’t elude to any details. After a short while of walking and taking the elevator up, we arrived at a large hall that could be used to hold a banquet. Looking around at the deep purple color of the curtain, the stage, and the various chandeliers that decorated the ceiling, I thought that the place was probably really used as a banquet hall.

Apart from Mada Sand and , there was no one else in the large hall when we entered. The air felt cold and very still in the hall and that made the hall seem haunting and lonely. That feeling only lasted for a few minutes before sounds of chatter and laughter slowly slipped into the room.

“They’re here...” Mada Sand said before grinning at .

She must have heard the sa sounds as I had. The sounds only got louder and louder as the source of the sounds approached us. The door slowly opened and a group of beautifully won who were dressed to show their status entered the room. The sweet high-pitch sound of their laughter filled the room along with their presence.

Honorable maidens...

Although it wasn’t my first ti seeing them, my eyes still widened and for a mont I felt flustered and didn’t quite know how to react. Since moving into the Sacred Chambers, I have not seen or t another honorable maiden. I wasn’t sure if that was planned or just a natural outco of how the living quarters and schedules were arranged but this was the first ti that I’ve seen such a large crowd of honorable maidens gathered together since that tea party in the garden. In fact, there seed to be even more of them gathered together than before.

“No need to act so nervous. You are the star of the show,” Mada Sand whispered to before winking at .

She chuckled before leaving to take a few steps forward to greet the other honorable maidens. The various colors of their dresses and outfits made feel like a strand of rainbow had entered the room while bringing along life and color with it. The won seed to know each other well enough and those that were close had gathered to share small talk.

“Attention please, everyone!” Mada Sand said loudly to catch everyone’s attention.

Almost imdiately, everyone quietened down until the hall was silent once more. Everyone had their attention on Mada Sand while they waited for her to make her announcent. I wondered if I was the only one new to this because I wasn’t sure what the announcent was supposed to be about.

“Who do you think will get lucky this ti?” one of the ladies whispered to another woman standing next to her.

“Who knows...” she replied with a grin.

Mada Sand cleared her throat before taking out a docunt. The tension in the air escalated imdiately and I could feel everyone’s excitent and nervousness.

“As most of you are aware, tonight is going to be a full moon night. Like always, I have the honor to announce the three honorable maidens who has been carefully selected to spend this special night with the three princes of this kingdom,” Mada Sand announced loud and clear.

There were a few gasps here and there while soone let out a giggle. As for , I was too stunned to have any kind of reaction as I continued staring at Mada Sand. I never knew that such an announcent was made so publicly to all honorable maidens like this. After looking around at the many faces of the won around , I got the feeling that the outco was supposed to be a surprise. In other words, they didn’t seem to know who had been selected.
