**The next evening**

The night of the full moon is fast approaching...

The promise that Prince Leonard made to spend that night with had staring up at the moon every single night before going to bed as if bounded by an unbreakable spell. Everyone could see that the moon was almost full. My heart leapt in my chest at the thought that this natural phenonon would really occur every month without fail and so would the events associated to it.

Even standing on my balcony at night with the night wind howling all around couldn’t cool down the heat that had started spreading in the pit of my stomach. The moonlight shining down from above made think of Prince Leonard and everything that he said and did to . My body seed to have natural reactions of its own to the cycle of the moon just like it had been ingrained to be part of my biological system. At least, that was what I thought because I couldn’t find another explanation for what was happening to my body. The heat and throbbing in my core that seed to intensify with each passing mont along with the tightness in my chest.

“Mila...”

I turned around at the sound of soone calling my na softly. Salena was standing there in her plain white nightgown, and she seed ready for bed. Her presence broke my chain of thought, and I quickly made my way back inside.

“Salena. Is sothing the matter?” I asked simply because her face was as white as paper.

“Oh, nothing. I...just wanted to check on you. It is late so...I just thought that you should go to bed,” she replied.

I thought that it was kind of her to be worried about ; however, sothing told that that wasn’t the only reason that she had decided to drop by to see . The fact that she was alone without Jessie was another hint that I didn’t fail to realize. Salena was extrely timid and speaking her mind must have been very difficult for her. Knowing that, I was all the more worried that she may be going through so trouble but had difficulty telling about it. I didn’t know if I could help her, but I still wanted her to confide in .

“I’m not sleepy yet but I will take your advice and head to bed soon. What about you? Is everything fine?” I asked in return.

“Yes. Everything is fine,” she replied, a little too quickly.

“Really? You know that we’re friends, right? If there’s anything bothering you, you can always tell . I’ll always help you...” I said before I smiled at her.

I sat down on the sofa and gestured for her to take a seat. She hesitated just like she always did before deciding to give in and sit down on the sofa opposite from . When she finally looked up, I was certain that it wasn’t just my imagination and that there was sothing troubling her.

“I’m fine. I’m just a little confused...” she confessed in a whisper.

“Confused? About what?” I asked as I kept my eyes on her.

“It’s nothing. I’m sorry for bringing it up. I...really don’t want to bother you when you must have so many things going on already,” she said before showing an apologetic smile.

I felt disappointed more in myself than in her that she wouldn’t tell what troubles she was facing; however, it didn’t seem right to push her into telling . All I could do was hope that she would co to tell and that whatever was troubling her wasn’t sothing serious.

“Well, if there’s anything you can always let know. I’ll try my best to help you and if there’s anything that I can’t help you with, I guess I’ll just try my best to get Prince Leonard to help...” I told her with a bright smile.

“Prince Leonard...” she murmured.

“What is it?” I asked.

“Umm...does he...you know...treat you well?” she asked hesitantly.

Does he treat well?

“It’s a little hard to explain but I guess overall he does treat very well...” I replied after a mont of thought.

“Oh, that’s good. I’m happy that you seem happy,” Salena replied with a shy laugh.

“You don’t need to worry about . I’m also trying my best to get along with the prince,” I replied honestly.

It would be too farfetched for to say that I completely understand the relationship that I had with the prince; however, it didn’t pain or bother to be with him. It could be challenging for my heart to be close to him and my body hasn’t gotten used to sleeping with him yet but overall, I didn’t dislike spending ti with him.

“Prince Leonard visits you here very often so he must favor you a lot,” Salena mumbled her observation.

“I’m not so sure about that...he’s just...trying to teach lessons,” I replied as I tried to stop myself from blushing.

It was true that he was teaching my lessons and I’ve learned many new things from him; however, there were lessons that I could never speak of to anyone.

“Is he a good teacher?” she asked, and I could sense her interest.

I didn’t think that Salena had that much interest in Prince Leonard before and she wouldn’t usually ask this many questions. It was surprising but I thought of it as a good surprise. She seed more open to talk and I thought that it was such a positive and refreshing change.

“He is. Well, I don’t have many other teachers to compare him to, but I really like how he explains things. It makes feel like everything that he is teaching is true and real,” I tried my best to explain.

“He really sounds like a good teacher. You’re so lucky, Mila,” Salena said with a dreamy look in her eyes.

“I’m still not used to spending ti alone with him...” I confessed softly.
