Before I knew what I was doing, I had taken a few steps to follow after him.
“Prince Leonard...” I called his na before I paused.
“What is it?” he asked after turning around to face .
“Will you be here tomorrow?” I asked before I could stop myself.
Now that those words had found its way out of my mouth, I found myself clenching my hands together tightly as I waited anxiously for his reply.
“You’re supposed to study economics tomorrow according to your schedule. I’ll be here to teach you,” he replied.
“I see...” I mumbled as I suddenly felt relieved that I would get to see him tomorrow.
“Don’t tell that you haven’t morized your schedule...” he said with narrowed eyes.
My eyes widened as I suddenly felt guilty. He was right about not morizing my study schedule. My eyes widened even further as I stared back at him when I realized that the prince had already morized my schedule.
“I’m sorry...” I apologized without having any excuse for myself.
“Don’t apologize and just make sure that you morize your schedule...” he replied a little sternly.
“Yes, I will do that...” I replied with a nod of my head.
I walked him to the door and just when I was about to open the door for him, there was a knock on the door. The unexpected sound made jump in surprise.
Who could it be this ti?
“Excuse . Mila...umm...Lady Mila, are you in there?”
My mouth dropped opened at the familiar sound of Salena’s voice calling out to from the other side of the door. I whirled around to face the prince with a look of pure shock on my face.
The prince is still here?! What am I supposed to do?!
“What’s wrong? Shouldn’t you reply to that?” the prince asked softly.
“You’re here...she’ll see you...” I whispered back as I started to panic.
The prince gave a confused look like he didn’t understand what I was so worried about. Although he was dressed, his blond hair was still damp. As for , the robe that I had on along with my wet hair were sure signs that I had just stepped out of the bath. If Salena sees us together in this state then she’s going to think that I just taken a bath with the prince and that was exactly what had just happened.
“Mila...” the prince called my na softly.
I couldn’t pay him any attention as my mind raced to figure out what to do. My eyes darted to the door and then back again to the prince’s face.
Should I just pretend that we’re not here?
Salena knocked on the door again before calling out my na. I had no idea why she had to be so insistent in seeing right now of all tis.
“You should go get dressed,” Prince Leonard told calmly.
“Prince...” I called him but it was all too late.
Prince Leonard’s hand was already on the door knob, and much sooner than I would have liked, the door opened to reveal a very shocked-looking Salena standing in her maid uniform right in front of my door. To make matters worse, I quickly found out that Salena wasn’t the only one standing in front of my door as my eyes landed on Jessie. Their wide-eyed expressions as they both stared up at the prince’s face before their gazes flickered to told more than enough about what they were both thinking.
“We heard noises coming from the room, so we ca to check. I thought you were supposed to be studying...” Jessie murmured while Salena stood frozen in shock.
I shifted uncomfortably under their inquisitive gaze as my hands balled into tight fists at my side. It felt like great news to have my friends here with ; however, I didn’t think about these kind of situation occurring. There was no doubt in my mind that these two would hound with questions about my relationship with the prince when he was gone.
“Umm...I’ll see you tomorrow, Your Highness...” I mumbled as I pleaded with the prince for him to please take his leave with my eyes.
Instead of leaving right away, the prince turned to face with a grin on his beautiful lips. My body stiffened as he took a step towards and then I felt the weight of his large hand on the top of my head. I could feel my friend’s stare on us and that made break out in cold sweat. If those two tried to keep their gasp of surprise to themselves, they were not at all successful because I heard it so clearly and that must an that the prince heard it as well.
Why did those two have to turn up right now?
“It’s good to have your friends here with you, right?” he said knowingly before he smiled at .
“I...” I mumble before I decided to close my mouth and just nod my heat slightly at him in agreent.
The warmth of his hand left my head as the prince stood up straight once more before he turned away from and strode toward the door.
“Take care of Mila,” the prince instructed my two dear friends.
“Yes, Your Highness,” they replied as if in trained unison.
After the prince left, the two girls quickly ran into the room and then closed and locked the door behind them. I felt trapped as I felt the eyes of my two friends staring right at . I closed my eyes and let out a soft sigh. Before I had to go through their interrogation, I decided to be on the offensive first and ask them the question that had ford in my mind.
“Tell , was the prince the one who sent you here to work for ?” I asked as I folded my arms under my chest.
“Prince Leonard? Honestly, I don’t know. We were not told anything apart from our order for us to move to serve you,” Jessie replied while Salena nodded her head in agreent.
