I roughly knew how animals mated and how wolves mated was probably not very different from how dogs do it.
“I assu that you are inexperienced but there is nothing for you to worry about. Just trust the prince and leave everything in his capable hands. The prince is extrely experienced,” the mada said with firm nod of her head.
“Ok...” I murmured.
I was not quite sure how I should be feeling about the fact that Prince Leonard was apparently ‘extrely experienced’. More experience might be better than no experience, I guess?
“Also, the use of any form of contraceptives is strictly forbidden. The prince should not possess any contraceptives and I am sure that you don’t have any either. For the goal of producing an ultimate alpha as soon as possible, the king has put a strict ban on contraceptives. Unfortunately, it has been proven again and again that even without the use of contraceptives, it is extrely difficult for a woman to conceive...” she said before she heaved a loud and long sigh.
“Why is that?” I asked out of curiosity.
“We don’t know. The best guess that we have so far is that it is difficult to find a good match to act as mates for the ultimate alphas. We have never observed any of these problems when other werewolves mate with humans before. In fact, the ability of werewolves to mate with humans is what had allowed the race to integrate with the human race and many people today have werewolf blood in them without knowing it,” Mada told with a frown on her face.
“The prince told about that...” I said as I recalled his words.
I still found it hard to believe that there were so many people with werewolf blood in them. That made wonder if there were werewolves in the country that I ca from as well.
“I see, so he did tell you about that. Well, I’m sure that if you both work hard at it, a cute little baby will be on its way soon,” she said as hope shone brightly in her eyes.
I wanted to tell her that that wasn’t what I had in mind, but I decided to keep my mouth firmly shut. She smiled at before continuing on with her informative lecture.
“The other parts of the act may not be crucial; however, you must make sure to take in the prince’s seed. While mating, make sure that he ejaculates his sen into you. After each night that you spend together, Callum and I will help you keep track of the number of tis that you’ve taken in the prince’s seed. Is that clear?” she asked with a straight face.
I blinked rapidly at her words. Does she really expect to tell her all that for the sake of keeping track?
“There is nothing to be astonished or shy about. We all know how this is supposed to work. It may seem invasive at first, but you will get used to it. Won who manage to take in a lot of the prince’s seed will also receive special rewards. Of course, the best and most prestigious reward of all would co when you successfully give birth to an ultimate alpha because when that happens, you will beco the next queen of this kingdom. Wouldn’t that be great?” she said before flashing a wide and bright smile.
No, not at all.
Not knowing how to respond to that, I just plastered a fake smile that I hoped looked convincing onto my lips. The mada seed satisfied with my reaction while I felt like I was dying slowly on the inside.
“There are other minor rules that apply to all honorable maidens. First, you can only mate with one prince at a ti. If a prince has chosen to spend the night with you, you cannot spend the night with another prince for two months unless we have verified that you are not pregnant. In the case that more than one prince has submitted a request for you, you will have the final say in whom you choose to spend your ti with. Second, honorable maidens are not allowed to leave the Sacred Chambers,” the mada stated the rules before pausing.
“But...I saw honorable maidens having a tea party in the garden before...” I said in wonder.
“There are exceptions, of course. What you saw falls into the exception that we call ‘special events’. Basically, honorable maidens can leave to attend special events such as tea parties, balls, celebrations, and other events that are deed suitable for them to make an appearance to give them a chance to draw the attention of the princes to themselves. The other exception is when the maiden had been chosen to serve one of the princes. Then she will be escorted to the prince’s palace, and she will be escorted back in the morning,” the mada explained.
“What else do honorable maidens do...you know...when they are free?” I asked.
“Honorable maidens don’t work. They will either entertain themselves within the area of the Sacred Chambers or they will attend lessons to polish up their skills. We have every single class here that we believe will be useful to improve the quality of our ladies. Music, dance, painting, cooking, all the way to religious studies. We have everything, you will not be bored, I assure you,” she told confidently.
Suddenly, this place sounded like a prestigious boarding school for young won, and I wasn’t sure if I liked the idea at all. Ti for to co up with an excuse to give to the prince. Maybe if I beg him hard enough on my hands and knees, he’ll talk to the king for to return to being a simple maid.
“Oh, I should ntion this so that there would be no misunderstandings and troubles in the future. The rule of exclusivity for the honorable maiden does not apply to the princes. Although a maiden can be with only one prince at a ti, a prince can choose to be involved with more than one maiden at the sa ti. Actually, this practice is highly encouraged because it increases the odds of an ultimate alpha being born and that is also why we have so many honorable maidens living here,” she explained as if to get that not-so-minor detail out of the way.
