"Poison?" Alpha Mitch asked in a shaky voice.
He looked between Alpha Raul and the doctor, waiting for an explanation but the doctor had returned his attention to his patient. Alpha Raul looked away in guilt.
He had always used poisoned bullets and that’s one way he had always won his wars.
But one thing he cannot reveal to Alpha Mitch was that the poison has no cure.
The Oga would slowly rot away. Before eventually losing his life.
Alpha Mitch watched closely and held Tristan’s hand. The warmness in it was slowly slipping away.
"His hand is getting cold" he inford the doctor, fear stripping him of all his clarity of thought.
"Will the both of you please excuse , I need to work in total silence. One is breathing down my neck and another is asking questions. Should I leave him to die?!" The doctor asked angrily.
His eyes looking at the two of them with disapproval.
Alpha Mitch got up from the bed and walked out of the room, Alpha Raul watched him in disbelief and followed after him.
He wasn’t expecting him to agree so easily. Alpha Mitch walked outside to where he parked his car. The sky has finally cleared up but his mind was dark.
His phone buzzed in his pocket and he picked the call in a daze.
"Alpha Raul’s n had withdrawn this morning and left without a fight. I’m waiting at the pack house for you. We don’t know if they truly went back or not" Gale reported from the phone.
Alpha Mitch nodded and after realising he wasn’t seeing him.
"Okay". He said in response.
"Alpha?
Are you okay?" Gale asked, as he noticed the strangeness of his voice.
"Have you gotten Tristan?
Are you on your way back?" Gale asked without missing a beat.
But all he got was silence, Alpha Mitch ran a hand through his hair and sighed heavily.
"I will get back to you" he replied and ended the call.
Alpha Mitch’s fears increased when the doctor wasn’t done after hours.
He had managed to remove the bullet from his back and closed up the wound but the poison wasn’t getting out.
"Why isn’t it leaving his body?
What sort of poison is it?" He asked the doctor.
The doctor sighed and slowly removed his gloves and pack up.
"It’s a lethal poison, and I’m not an expert in poisons. We would continue the daily treatnt and then wait for him to wake up" The doctor explain and left.
Alpha Raul thought of confessing to Alpha Mitch about the nature of the poison but changed his mind.
He had vowed to let him go through exact pain his mother had gone through after his father died in their pack.
Although it wasn’t as he had envisioned but if it would get the sa result he doesn’t mind.
After the doctor left doctor left, Alpha Mitch knew there was no reason to keep waiting.
Without informing Alpha Raul he carried the Oga in his car and left but Alpha Raul was watching from a window.

Alpha Mitch went straight to the pack house, he couldn’t drive as fast as he did when he was coming and he ended up spending over ten hours to the pack house.
Occasionally stopping to check on Tristan and trying to wake him up had also wasted his ti.
"What took you so long?, where is Tristan?" Mariah was the first person to et him after he parked.
Alpha Mitch ignored her, and walked to the passenger seat to carry Tristan out.
If it wasn’t for what happened, he would have spent so ti talking to her.
"You are not even asking about those losers that locked up us here. It was scary and I had to hide in a safe room with Mom" Mariah pouted and explained but she stopped suddenly when she saw Tristan.
His limp body and unnatural skin tone make her gasp.
"W-what happened to him?" She asked in shock.
Alpha Mitch frown as he noticed Tristan lips and eyelids were now purple.
They were just paled when he left Dark Alley pack.
"Get the doctor here now!" Alpha Mitch barked at her as he ran into the pack house with Tristan in his arms.
Everyone stopped to watch in disbelief and Gale t them on the stairs but he was also shocked.
"Get soone that knows about poison!" Alpha Mitch ordered.
"Poison?!" Gale asked in disbelief.
He imdiately thought of any reason the Oga could get poisoned and nothing was forthcoming.
Words spread quickly and Alpha Mitch was laying Tristan down on the bed when his Mom arrived.
Worry making her eyes brows squeeze together.
"Oh goddess!, what happened?!" She asked going to touch his body.
Alpha Mitch had no words to explain what happened to her.
But he knew everything was his fault and he would be blad without doubt.
He shouldn’t have casted him aside, he shouldn’t have treated him like that.
He regret every ti he was being an to him.
The doctor arrived and imdiately asked for so privacy alone with the Alpha.
"Explain to as bluntly as you can. I don’t need lies and I despise them" Alpha Mitch spat when he was finally alone with the doctor.
The doctor hesitated, he looked at the Alpha’s furrowed brows and he knew he ant what he said but he had no idea on how to start.
"The symptoms on his body are closely related to what a person would experience if they injected a poison called Death Lilly. It’s a foreign poison and is very rare.
But I need to know how it got into his body while he–
"It’s from a bullet" Alpha Mitch replied coldly. Thinking about the exact mont everything happened made his anger boiled at a new frequency.
"I doubt he would survive it" The doctor finally said in a low voice.
Alpha Mitch looked sharply at him.
"No one has ever survive it. I’m so sorry" The doctor said with a slight bow.
