Chapter 152: Set Things Right (Ch.152)

Queen Heveneth sat in her quarters, lost in thoughts. She could not tell exactly what she was thinking about, her thoughts were muddled and it was difficult for her to focus.

For the past few days, the fairy queen holed herself up in her quarters, turning away everyone who had co to request an audience.

To be more exact, Heveneth had not left her quarters since Eloneth’s outburst...

To hear the utter distaste in her daughter’s tone had hurt more than anything and Queen Heveneth dearly needed the ti to piece her thoughts back together.

All affairs of the Floral Domain waited on Queen Heveneth’s words and it was only now Heveneth felt the burden as ruler of the Floral Domain to be far too heavy.

All along, Queen Heveneth only thought of her people and her own race, all she had done was to reclaim their place as the supre race.

It was what Heveneth had been raised for, and Queen Heveneth still could not understand just exactly where she had gone wrong.

She had always believed the results were far more important than the process, as long as they could reclaim their place and supre race...did it matter if there were sacrifices?

Queen Heveneth had made all such extre decisions for the good of her people and she was certain they would be glad for it... But at this point, Queen Heveneth just did not know anymore.

Could it be that all the choices Queen Heveneth had made up to this mont were all wrong? It was difficult for the fairy queen to accept it and she just could not accept it.

A knock sounded on Queen Heveneth’s door, drawing her out of her thoughts.

"Leave." Queen Heveneth murmured in a sharp, biting tone as she leaned her head down on her table, breathing out a heavy sigh.

"It’s ." Battle Lord Dinani called from the other side of the door.

"I know... leave." Queen Heveneth replied.

Heveneth knew exactly what Lord Dinani had to say, he and everyone else already questioned her choices.

The very people she wanted to offer the entire realm when she won it were the people who disapproved of her the most.

Eloneth’s accusing words still replayed in Queen Heveneth’s mind and she did not want to hear anymore of such hurtful words.

"Forgive ." Lord Dinani apologized just as the door ca open and he stepped in.

Queen Heveneth sighed heavily, turning her face away from him. She was already grateful her mate had let her be this past two days which she knew must have been quite difficult for him.

"It’s been two days, how long do you plan on staying in here?" Lord Dinani asked after a mont of quiet as he took a seat and watched Queen Heveneth in silence.

"Forever?" Queen Heveneth asked uncertainly, she also did not have an established plan in mind.

The council was seeking for her impeachnt for failing to discern that the Floral Palace had been infiltrated by dark forces and nearly losing her magic to them.

Such a thing had never happened in the Floral Domain before and the elders blad it all on Queen Heveneth’s failed leadership.

’Cowardly imbeciles they all are...’ Queen Heveneth thought, her own council had been against her will all along yet they did not dare reveal it.

Instead, they supported Queen Heveneth on whatever decision she made as though they agreed and only now that a greater power like the Crimson Moon had shown up.

It was at this ti the council of the Floral Domain revealed their true colors.

Beyond that, the Sea Kingdom was raging, clearly they would seek a great compensation from Queen Heveneth and she was unwilling to pay that.

The Alpha King, Crimson Alpha and supernatural council were all on her territory and all clearly detested her...they would be sure to support the motion and implent her impeachnt.

Even her own daughter did not wish to see her... everything was in ruins now.

It was difficult to admit but Queen Heveneth was just not ready to face her reality at this point and she did not think she would ever be ready.

"I have never known you to hide away from your troubles." Lord Dinani pointed out.

"Those troubles were nothing compared to this." Queen Heveneth replied with a frown.

Lord Dinani was quiet for a ti, he knew there was nothing he could say that could make this any easier for his mate but he wanted to be here... right here by her side so she knew she was not alone.

"You are Queen of the Fae, the monarch of the Floral Domain. Could there be any trouble you cannot handle?" Lord Dinani asked with a small smile.

"I would be the first of my blood line to be dethroned... how would I face my ancestors? How could I explain my failures?" Queen Heveneth asked in a quiet whisper, sucking in a deep breath so she did not end up breaking down.

"What is it you always said when you had to give a difficult judgent?" Lord Dinani reminded.

"Only one who bears the consequences of their actions can be redeed...to walk the path again... and walk it better." Queen Heveneth replied with a sigh.

"I believed so dearly that I was right...but I see now the error in my ways."

"My purpose was not wrong...but my path could have been better. Perhaps it is too late for ... my own daughter will not see ." Queen Heveneth already knew her wrongs, she just did not know how to face them.

"I do not even dare make a decision... can I even be trusted to make the right one?" Queen Heveneth asked doubtfully.

"Still yet...you are Queen whether it be for today only...you are Queen till the day of dethronent dawns."

"You must think first for your people... what would be best for the Floral Domain? For the supernatural realm? What step would a true supre monarch take?" Lord Dinani asked.

Queen Heveneth thought over it for a mont, she desired to be supre monarch yet she had failed to understand what it truly ant to be supre.

A supre monarch was not a monarch to their race alone... but to the entire realm.

The right choice was not the choice made for the Floral Domain alone, but a choice made for the entire realm.

"I must set things right." Queen Heveneth sighed.
