That’s right, they were catching chickens.
And not just any chickens—Pearl Divine Chickens!
Siheng suppressed the excitent in his heart. Looking closely, he noticed that the cage already contained three adult divine chickens, and there were even four or five little chicks.
He hadn’t expected that such a large number of Pearl Divine Chickens would be hidden in this valley!
Just a mont ago, when the barrier was breached, the Pearl Divine Chickens sensed sothing was off and were about to leave. However, the cultivators had noticed them, and imdiately launched a formation, trapping the Pearl Divine Chickens here, making it impossible for them to escape.
Once the area was sealed off, the chickens beca easier to catch, and not a single one was missed.
More importantly, these were the very cultivators he had saved earlier.
It seed that doing good deeds really paid off.
He never expected that in this mountain, there would be Pearl Divine Chickens, and that soone would help him catch all of them.
Siheng waited for a mont, until the cultivators had caught all the Pearl Divine Chickens and locked them up in cages, then he made his appearance.
"Who’s there?"
The cultivators quickly assud defensive positions.
Siheng, now not using any disguise techniques, was incredibly handso. The cultivators were montarily stunned by his appearance.
He coughed lightly, breaking the silence, "My wife is pregnant, and she needs so Pearl Divine Chickens to replenish her strength."
The cultivators’ faces turned from confusion to rage.
"You little pretty boy, what’s the point of looking good? If you want Pearl Divine Chickens, go catch them yourself!"
"First co, first served! Don’t you know the rules?"
"You look so weak, better scram! Don’t make us teach you a lesson, or you’ll be begging on your knees soon enough!"
They cursed angrily.
After all, Pearl Divine Chickens were extrely valuable. The cultivators were hoping to consu them to replenish their spiritual power, or sell them for a high price in Jiuzhou Town.
The audacity of this young man, asking for Pearl Divine Chickens right off the bat—it was like courting death!
Siheng smirked coldly. "What rules? Isn’t it the case that the one with the strongest fist gets to decide?"
The cultivators didn’t expect such arrogance from him.
Just as they were about to make a move, one of the cultivators suddenly went weak in the knees and fell to the ground.
The others were stunned. "What are you doing? Why are you kneeling to him?"
The cultivator quickly tugged at the sleeve of a fellow cultivator and stamred, "It... it’s him..."
"What do you an, ’it’s him’?"
"The one we encountered earlier—the one who broke the barrier?"
"Impossible! They look completely different!"
"But... but they are wearing the sa robes."
The cultivators took a closer look.
Indeed, they were wearing identical dark robes with gold trim!
Thud! Thud!
In the blink of an eye, all ten or so cultivators fell to their knees.
"Friend! So it’s you! Why didn’t you say so earlier? Since your wife is pregnant, she needs to replenish her strength, take all of the Pearl Divine Chickens, take all of them!"
They had already seen the power of Siheng earlier.
When it ca down to Pearl Divine Chickens and their own lives, their lives were clearly more important.
Siheng smiled and nodded, "Thank you."
"No problem at all, just spare us!" one of them said, relieved.
Siheng placed all the Pearl Divine Chickens into his Qiankun Bag, not even sparing the little chicks.
The cultivators’ hearts burned with hatred.
But there was nothing they could do. After all, his strength was far beyond theirs. Without Siheng breaking the barrier earlier, they wouldn’t have been able to enter the valley and loot it.
Now, they could only hope that Siheng would be rciful and allow them to get sothing out of this so their efforts wouldn’t be in vain.
They all gazed longingly at Siheng.
Siheng was about to drive them off, but then he rembered how smoothly they had captured the Pearl Divine Chickens, clearly familiar with the process. It seed they were seasoned treasure hunters.
He asked, "You all seem quite skilled at hunting treasures. Is that what you usually do?"
The cultivator who had been quick to notice earlier answered, "Yes, yes. We’re all independent cultivators, and we’ve ford a treasure hunting group. We often go on expeditions to find treasures."
It was how they survived and continued cultivating.
After the barrier in Immortal World broke, they had gone to North Wilderness, but it was too dangerous and they weren’t familiar with the area, so they had to turn back.
After the spiritual trees of the major sects in Immortal World withered, their lives had beco even harder.
Siheng nodded, "Since you’re experienced, could you help go over the contents of these mountains?"
He wasn’t as familiar as they were with treasure hunting. Sotis, he might overlook sothing important.
The cultivator froze for a mont, then blurted out, "Will you give us sothing in return, or perhaps spirit stones?"
The other cultivators nearly beat him to death.
They were offering to work for free, and this guy was asking for compensation?
Did he have a death wish?
Realizing his mistake, the cultivator began to tremble.
Siheng raised an eyebrow, "I’ll give you spirit stones."
He had plenty of spirit stones now.
The cultivators breathed a collective sigh of relief, and so even felt tears of gratitude.
But before any other thoughts could form, Siheng called over Yun Yubai.
Yun Yubai observed the group, and after a mont of thought, said, "They seem to belong to the Weiwut Treasure Hunting Group... but where’s your leader?"
The cultivators all looked at Siheng.
They didn’t dare to answer.
Siheng looked a bit puzzled before recalling, "Oh, I think I might’ve crippled him. Is he dead?"
The group of independent cultivators sighed in resignation. It wasn’t a matter of ’might have,’ it was a certainty!
"He’s still breathing," one of the cultivators said after thinking for a mont, and then added, "Thanks for showing rcy, friend."
Siheng ignored them and asked, "Is the Weiwut Treasure Hunting Group famous?"
Naturally, he was asking Yun Yubai.
He nodded, "Yes, most of the resources in Immortal World are controlled by the major sects, so independent cultivators have to go on expeditions to find treasures. The Weiwut Treasure Hunting Group has the most mbers and the broadest knowledge, thanks to their leader. While his cultivation is average, he knows a lot about herbs and stones and never makes mistakes. But now... with him barely alive, the group has lost much of its strength."
Yun Yubai had spent a lot of ti traveling around and knew about these treasure hunting groups’ rankings.
Once, he had even commissioned a group to find a material for brewing a special wine.
Siheng imdiately ca up with a plan.
"Well then, I’ll save his life," he said. "Bring him here."
The cultivators were stunned. They hadn’t expected Siheng to offer help. While they were shocked, they hurriedly brought their leader over.
Yun Yubai took a look and felt a chill run down his spine.
The leader truly was hanging by a thread.
However, with his mastery of the Qiankun Life Extending Needle, saving soone on the brink of death was no challenge for Siheng.
The cultivators watched in awe as Siheng perford the healing techniques.
They were stunned by his abilities.
They had known that Siheng was powerful, but they never imagined he was this strong.
The aura he emanated...
It was vast.
It was overwhelming.
They were intimidated by his presence and didn’t dare to approach, lest they be crushed under the weight of his power.
They whispered among themselves:
"That’s at least Deity Forming stage, right?"
"Are you blind? That’s at least the Great Achievent stage!"
One of them muttered, "But despite how handso he is, he has a strange birthmark on his forehead."
"Heh, don’t be too quick to judge. The shape of that birthmark is quite symtrical. It actually suits him well."
