Sima Xin’s expression stiffened even further.

Clearly, Qingwu was now aiming to overpower both her son and the Penglai Island. But she was helpless.

Her father had lost an arm, the Talisman-Destroying Mirror had been destroyed, her husband had died a tragic death, and even his cultivation had been passed to Qingwu.

Beneath her sleeves, her fists clenched and unclenched, but in the end, she could only suppress her anger and say, "In that case, A’Hu calls you his adoptive father. Venerable Master, I trust you won’t despise him?"

Qingwu smiled contentedly. "If he has such intentions, how could I despise him?"

In the past, when he saw the old Venerable Master and Siheng receiving respect and adoration from others, he was filled with envy.

He had always thought to himself, If only one day I could be like them.

And now, today, he had achieved it.

Penglai Island, the second largest power in the Upper Realm, now had its island master bowing to him. His status had never been so glorious!

Sima Xin couldn’t stand Qingwu’s smug expression, but she had no choice but to turn and say to Yan Hu, "A’Hu, don’t just stand there. Quickly pay your respects to your adoptive father."

In front of so many people, Yan Hu’s face was flushed with embarrassnt.

But he knew his mother’s intentions.

After this battle, the strength of House Sima and Penglai Island had drastically changed. He had no choice but to bow his head to Qingwu, submitting and biding his ti.

But he was patient. Once his cultivation reached the Great Achievent stage, he would no longer need to care about Qingwu’s approval.

Thirty years of the river’s ebb and flow; thirty years of the river’s rise.

With these thoughts in mind, Yan Hu knelt down, kowtowed three tis, and said, "I pay my respects to my adoptive father!"

Many cultivators watched on, and though they congratulated him with their words, the disciples of House Sima and Penglai Island wore expressions of deep discomfort.

Qingwu, however, was delighted. He cheered three tis and helped Yan Hu up.

In front of all, he wanted to show off his abilities.

He approached Sima Yue, observed his injuries, and looked at the bone that had been stripped of its flesh. He then said, "With here, Lord Sima’s arm can still be saved."

Sima Yue had been furious earlier, but upon hearing this, his expression softened. "Venerable Master, is that true?"

Qingwu nodded.

He didn’t waste words and proceeded to prove it with his abilities.

He perford the incantation and set up the array. Golden light shone brightly as he used his spiritual power to reattach the clean bone.

Sima Yue was startled.

Because he could once again feel the pain in his arm!

He quickly tested it out and realized he could control the arm, though it looked quite unnatural and unsettling.

Sima Xin asked, "Venerable Master, is this the extent to which my father’s arm can be restored?"

Qingwu replied, "Of course not. This is just a healing technique to help regenerate the bone and flesh. Ah, it’s not easy though. I should be looking for the Evil Girl and killing her, but with Lord Sima’s injury... I’ll need to use this technique every day. I’m not sure how to proceed."

Sima Xin understood what he ant.

He had received her husband’s cultivation and didn’t want to take on the responsibility of killing Nanli.

What a despicable man!

She almost wondered if her husband had been killed because of him.

But her father needed Qingwu’s help, so she had no choice but to endure.

Sima Xin said, "Venerable Master, rest assured. Nanli has reached her limit. A’Rui will definitely capture her. Once she is caught, we can deal with her here on Penglai Island."

That part wasn’t difficult to manage.

All they needed was to find a cultivator to kill her.

Qingwu sighed dramatically, "Ah, I should avenge Brother Yan, but now... sigh, I can only put Lord Sima first."

Sima Xin forced a smile. "Venerable Master, we are deeply grateful for your healing of my father."

"Of course," Qingwu replied.

As long as he didn’t have to kill Nanli and his cultivation didn’t get damaged, he was willing to do anything.

He wasn’t even sure if he could withstand divine retribution with his current cultivation.

Even though Nanli had escaped, his headache was great, but he had no regrets.

After all, it had taken him a long ti to achieve his current level of cultivation and power.

Sima Xin said this, but her mind was filled with worry for Yan Rui.

Nanli, in her previous life, and even now, despite being in the early stages of Golden Core, was able to resist so fiercely for so long. She was definitely not soone to be taken lightly.

She took out a Telestone and chanted a summoning spell.

Soon, Yan Rui’s voice ca through.

"Mother?"

"A’Rui, are you safe?" Sima Xin asked urgently.

"Of course, I’m safe," Yan Rui replied with a tone of satisfaction. "Thanks to my quick thinking, I grabbed Cinian and teleported with him. Otherwise, they would have escaped for sure."

Sima Xin breathed a sigh of relief. "Good. Where are you? Your Second Brother and I will co imdiately."

Yan Rui quickly refused. "No need. They’ve used Transfer Talismans, and we’re all scattered now. Nanli and Cinian are the only ones left. And they’re already at the end of their strength, unable to resist."

He was unwilling to stay under his Second Brother’s shadow, so he wanted to seize this opportunity to make a na for himself.

Sima Xin was furious. "Stop making trouble! Where are you? Tell imdiately!"

"Mother, I know what you’re worried about. I won’t kill her. I’ll bring her back and make her kneel before Father’s spirit to atone!"

Yan Rui finished speaking and hung up the Telestone.

He put the stone away, turned, and coldly stared at the now weak Nanli.

"Nanli." He stepped closer, squatting down in front of her, then gripped her chin with his hand. "Look, even when you’re so weak and pathetic, you still can’t hide your beauty. No wonder Jifeng Celestial Sovereign went mad for you, willing to go against the entire Immortal World for you."

Nanli lifted her eyes, filled with disdain.

But she could only say two words: "Get lost."

Yan Rui sneered. "I won’t. What are you going to do about it?"

"If you don’t get lost, you’ll die," she retorted.

Yan Rui laughed aloud. He tightened his grip on her chin, and her fair, delicate face was covered with purple and blue bruises.

"What’s the matter? Can you still move?" He leaned in closer to her cheek.

Nanli simply closed her eyes.

"Good. If you’re obedient now, you won’t have to suffer so much," Yan Rui said.

His hand moved to untie her clothes.

He chuckled again, "Before I was even born, Celestial Sovereign was already the supre of the Immortal World. My siblings and I admired him greatly. My fourth sister dread of one day marrying him and becoming his consort. As for ... I wanted to know what it would be like to taste his won."

"Scoundrel! Bastard!" Cinian cursed from behind. "Yan Rui, you’re inhuman!"

Yan Rui slightly turned his body, then waved his hand and struck Cinian again.

He controlled his spiritual power to only make Cinian suffer, not kill or knock him out.

Because there were onlookers, and that made it more thrilling.

Besides, this man was a monk.

Cinian vomited more blood from the strike.

Despite this, he still wanted to use his remaining strength to kill the scoundrel for Nanli.

But Nanli suddenly spoke up, "Yan Rui, right? If I surrender to you now, will you spare Zen Master Cinian’s life?"
