"Harry, do you want to..."
Hermione guessed how Harry was going to deal with the dragon in front of him next.
"There's nothing we can do about it. We don't have any way to subdue the dragon. If we want to get through here and reach the Lestrange family's treasure house safely, we have to kill it."
Ron, who took the Felicis together, finally caught up with their thoughts.
"It's better to free it than to be trapped here forever. If it were , I would rather die than be trapped in this damn place."
"In fact, it should thank us for freeing it."
The conversation between Harry and the other two shocked Griphook, who was standing nearby. It was as if what was blocking their way was not a ferocious dragon, but a bug that could be easily crushed to death at any ti.
Before Griphook could fully react, Harry had already raised his wand, suddenly ca out from the corner, and fired an ordinary devil's fire at the dragon opposite.
In the past few months, Harry had tried to use the devil's fire countless tis and was very clear about how terrible it was. When the devil's fire collided with the flas sprayed by the fire dragon, it actually began to infect and devour the dragon's flas, and even directly carried the flas back to the fire dragon, completely engulfing it.
The shrill screams echoed in the room, making Griphook, who witnessed the scene, look extrely pale. He had already guessed how Harry and the other two were going to open Lestrange's vault.
"This is the devil's fire" Pull the ring's voice trembled.
There was no way. The incident of the Malfoy family being engulfed by the devil's flas was too famous, and almost everyone knew about this evil black magic.
"Don't worry, we can get it under control."
When Harry used the devil's fire, Hermione and Ron had already raised their wands to help control the devil's fire to prevent it from spreading everywhere and becoming completely out of control.
This fire is indeed dangerous.
Even dragon scales and dragon hide, which can resist most spells, cannot resist the burning of devil's flas.
The giant dragon was making its last dying struggle. Even though it had struggled to break free from the burnt thick chain and started to rampage, it still couldn't extinguish the devil's flas on its body.
The dragon's roar gradually weakened until it disappeared completely.
They all knew that the dragon was dead, burned to death by the devil's flas.
But Harry still did not go out through the corner passage. Instead, he waited for another minute to make sure that the dragon was indeed dead. Then he cleaned up the ss with Hermione and Ron and extinguished the devil's fire in the room.
"You killed it"
Looking at the still smoking dragon's corpse, Griphook's eyes widened in disbelief.
The guard that the goblins were so proud of was killed so easily by Harry.
"If it's Albert, there might be a way to subdue it completely, but I don't have that ability. The best I can do is kill it, otherwise there's no way to guarantee our safety." Harry's tone was calm, without any trace of apology, but what he said was the truth, because he had already seen the location of the vault.
The end of the passage is actually a circular room with no other exit. There are several passages leading inward on the wall. Just walk a few more steps inside and you can see the door of the vault.
Without killing the fire dragon, they would have no chance of getting close to the vault. Even if they did, it would be unsafe without the goblin to control the dragon.
Because they couldn't open the vault door for a while, they would be in danger of being engulfed by dragon flas and would have no place to hide.
"Let's go, the noise here must have attracted the guards from Gringotts." Hermione urged.
The three of them acted in perfect harmony, as they all knew very well that now was not the ti to stop and admire their success in killing a fire dragon.
"Which is the Lestrange family vault?" Ron had been helping to keep an eye on Griphook to prevent him from doing anything stupid.
"Hermione, give Gryffindor's sword to Griphook."
Harry had no fear that Griphook would break his promise, unless it wanted to die imdiately.
"You intend to destroy the door of the vault directly, but you don't want to get the golden cup."
Griphook didn't reach for the sword of Gryffindor, he had already thought of what Harry Potter was going to do next.
"The Hufflepuff cup," Hermione added.
"Which vault?" Harry asked.
"that."
Griphook said, pointing to a passage.
"If you use the devil's fire, you can indeed destroy the door of the vault, but it is hard to say whether the things in the vault can survive."
"Even if the gold cup in the vault is accidentally destroyed, it ans that both parties have fulfilled the agreent." Harry looked into Griphook's eyes, and after making sure that the other party had not lied to him, he raised his wand again.
"Don't try to touch it with your hands, otherwise you will be sucked into the door directly and then you will be finished." Griphook reminded quickly when he saw this.
"You will too"
Ron asked curiously.
"Of course, there are only a few goblins who have the authority to do so. Anyone who dares to touch them will be in bad luck." Griphook added, "And the items in the vaults of most ancient wizard families are cast with fire spells and copying spells. Don't touch them casually, otherwise you may be crushed to death by the gold."
"This is a very suitable way for a thief to die, but it's a pity that we are not here to steal anything." Harry raised his wand and pointed it at the tal door in front of him, and cast the Fiendish Fire Curse again.
This ti, he needed to carefully control the flas to burn the vault door, which might take so ti. Fortunately, Ron was moving the body of the fire dragon, preparing to use it to block the passage and delay the guards of Gringotts to prevent them from rushing over and causing trouble for him.
Things went even more smoothly than they expected. The devil's flas easily burned through the vault door in front of them, turning the sophisticated door into a pile of scrap tal.
When the three of them lit their wands and stepped into the vault, they were quickly dazzled by the countless gold coins and treasures inside.
"You better hurry up, I can already hear the footsteps of the Gringotts guards."
"It's not easy for us to find the Hufflepuff gold cup here." Ron raised his wand to admire the treasures in the vault. The wealth here was beyond the Weasley family's ability to accumulate in several lifetis.
"Go out."
Harry turned and left. "It's too difficult to find the Hufflepuff cup in such a short ti."
"Harry, you really don't want to do that." Ron still disagreed with Harry destroying this place from the bottom of his heart.
"That can't be helped."
"Are you crazy?" Griphook had guessed what Harry Potter was going to do. "If you destroy everything in the vault along with it..."
"All the Lestrange family mbers are dead. I don't think anyone will inherit the family's wealth, and no one will co to cause trouble for ."
Harry turned his head to Hermione and said, "Give the Sword of Gryffindor to Griphook. He has already fulfilled his promise."
"This concludes your Unbreakable Vow with Harry." Hermione handed the sword of Gryffindor to Griphook.
If Griphook lied to them, or even led them to another vault, the unbreakable oath would claim his life.
After the goblin took the sword of Gryffindor with trembling hands, he followed the three people out of the passage and returned to the room. Then Harry waved his wand, letting the devil's fire flow into the vault from the torn gap, completely engulfing the treasures in the vault.
He should have done that a long ti ago.
"You intended to destroy the golden cup from the beginning, not to obtain it." Griphook gripped the sword of Gryffindor tightly, fearing that it would slip out of his hands.
Even if both parties sign an unbreakable oath, it still doubts whether there are loopholes in the oath.
"Yes, we wanted to destroy it even more, and now we succeeded." Harry gave a malicious smile.
Because that was Voldemort's Horcrux, but Harry obviously had no intention of telling Griphook. As long as they were sure that Voldemort's Horcrux was completely destroyed, their mission would be accomplished.
"It really is a blessing spirit."
“There weren’t even any problems along the way.”
This trip went so smoothly thanks to Albert, otherwise the out-of-control devil's fire alone would have been enough to kill them countless tis.
As they were talking, Harry suddenly covered his forehead with his hands and vaguely heard a very faint, distant scream of pain.
Then the devil's fire blazing in the Lestrange's vault seed to lose control and turned into a hideous face of Voldemort, rushing out from the blazing flas.
“We succeeded”
Harry gripped his wand tightly, took a deep breath, and pressed the lightning scar on his forehead.
"Are you okay, Harry?"
Ron hurried to support Harry, and Hermione helped control the devil's flas to prevent it from getting out of control.
"He knows, and he's furious," Harry said softly.
"What"
"I can feel Voldemort's anger and fear. That guy already knows soone is targeting his soul baby. He will be finished soon."
"Harry, the guards from Gringotts are here," Ron warned, looking towards the entrance. "We have to leave here imdiately."
"I know."
Harry took out the dicine bottle from his pocket, bit off the wax seal and drank the vitality tonic inside to cheer himself up, then helped Hermione extinguish the devil's fire in the vault, and then went inside to summon Dobby to leave here.
