Pandemonium. That was probably the best way to describe this place.
Myriads of scarlet threads stretching in the midair captured several black-clothed n who boldly decided to face the monster Grey. With scarlet haze coiling around him, these n's whole bodies twisted and hung in the air like puppets.
"No more!!!"
"There's no way I can win against him!!"
Two of the black-clothed n attempted to escape from the mansion.
"H-hey, don't run away!"
But, Poisonous Liquor’s instruction blocked them.
Grey clenched his fist, extended his right index and middle fingers, and bent them toward the night sky.
"N-No!!!"
The two black-clothed n attempting to flee were lifted up in the air and wringed out like a tattered dust cloth. Their flesh was crushed, and the blood from their entire body trickled to the ground drop by drop.
The remaining few black-clothed n were already weeping, on their knees, slumped, incontinent, defecating, and praying to God for rcy.
Is that really a human?
Aware of her own teeth chattering, Satori asked herself a question she didn't know how many tis she had asked.
Only the Holy Spirit King, the legendary spirit of the elven race, could have caused such a phenonon. [T/N : the literal aning of “spirit” in “legendary spirit” is “spirit of departed/spirit of war dead,” while “spirit king” literally consists of the words “spirit” and “king.” Just explaining in case there's more detailed explanation in future chapter and I decided to change the title]
No, to begin with, it was not such a pure existence. It was more like a collection of evils in this world—
"Gahh!!"
The last black-clothed man was burned to the ground, screaming his final death throes. As a wind wall blocked the exit, they were roasted and burned to death inside.
As long as one was human, they couldn't help but feel the existence of an emotion called terror. The existence of that thing made them feel such a fundantal fear.
As a matter of fact, although she wasn't facing each other as enemies, Satori was more afraid of Grey than the monsterized Munch or Poisonous Liquor.
That was why—
"Aren't you going to do it? But, is it all right? Capturing the brats from other places—"
"You just shut your mouth up!"
The words didn't last, and Munch's head burst into flas.
Grey didn't move a muscle as he looked at the rest of the adventurers, who had once belonged to the sa clan and were comrades of Satori but now turned into monster slaves.
The crimson eyes that looked at them contained no anger or hatred, only a strong sense of pity.
"Hey, can you hear ? I'm going to release all of you from that hell of a spell from now on. Do you have any last words you want to say to your comrades?"
At Grey's shout, her comrades' bodies shook as if they received a shock and all of a sudden, spooky smiles disappeared from their faces.
[Kill him!]
A mouth appeared on Munch’s feet and ordered his subordinates. Even when Munch shouted with his voice that for the first ti was filled with anger and frustration, none of her comrades flinched even once.
On the other hand, green liquid began to flow out of their eyes like tears.
[What's wrong with you!? This is the order from your lord! Hurry up and kill that brat!]
Munch's head rose up and ford a face as he continued to rant and rave.
"A.......ku.....san......so...rry."
A mber of the group, a black-haired young boy, shouted apologetically. He had always been a man who hated crookedness. He wasn't supposed to be involved in this kind of scummy act.
"So....rry......senio......i.. didn't think....of...this."
A blonde-haired young man, his cheeks wet with green tears, said the words of repentance. He was a crybaby, and had often asked Satori for help after being chastised by Munch and the other stern senior adventurers.
"Aku-san.....I'm very......sorry......seni.......tori...... sister.... Aku-sa......take...care of....her..."
A skinhead man spoke apologetically. He was the peacemaker of the mbers. He was like an older brother to them. He had completely changed now, but originally, he was a person with a strong sense of responsibility. Why had he helped Munch commit such a despicable act? Satori had no idea.
However, one thing was for sure, everyone now expressed these feelings from the bottom of their heart.
Because, as all the mbers moved their mouths, green liquid dripped from their eyes, mouths, and ears, and their faces dissolved into mush.
[Useless bastards!!]
Munch raised his right arm up.
"Didn't I say to shut your mouth up for a while!"
In the wake of the moody voice, a black lightning bolt struck Munch in the head and, without even a scream, turned him into a green liquid that splashed in all directions.
"Sa to you.....I'm sorry I didn't notice it earlier."
Aku's face was soaked with tears and snot, but his jaw was pulled back and he was shaking slightly.
"Aku! Raise your head! Your family is risking their lives to tell you this! At least, acknowledge their final heroic act by yourself!!"
Encouraged by Grey, Aku looked up as his body trembled.
“Thank you for everything until now!”
Everyone smiled brightly as if sothing heavy had been lifted off from them. At the sa ti, a fla wall silently fell down on their head, and everything turned into dust.
For Satori, only Aku was the object of her obsession, while she had never thought of others as anything more than savage beasts.
Even though that should have been the case, the intense sense of loss, sadness, and regret shuffled and jumbled together, and she couldn't make sense of it anymore. However, only her tears didn't stop.
"Hey, Grey! Poisonous Liquor ran away!" shouted Gaius, a red-haired grim reaper, the brave of the Adventurer’s Guild and the forr S-Rank Adventurer.
"You don't need to worry about him. I have already tracked him down. More importantly, it's reviving. Be careful. I sense sothing annoying."
While staring at a single point, Grey instructed with his right hand to keep a sufficient distance.
Just at that ti—
[The germination of the demon king seed possessed by Munch confird. Munch is evolving from

The inorganic voice of a woman rang in her head.
