Grace Carreras was born as the eldest daughter of Count Carreras's family.
As a mber of the bloodline aristocratic faction, the Carreras family attached great importance to their social status. In the Empire, only imperial males had the right to inherit the seat of the head of the family. Grace, being a woman, did not et this requirent. In other words, no matter how she tried, Grace could not succeed as the next head of the Carreras family.
