Capítulo 924: Chapter 520: Eternal Night One Year Ago (Part 2)

In the heavy atmosphere, a young team mber couldn’t help but ask, “Captain, what exactly happened a year ago? I saw it referred to as Eternal Night within the organization, is it…”

So things can only be known as forbidden information after becoming an operative, even though many ordinary people witnessed that scene a year ago, they still fundantally don’t understand.

The Captain frowned slightly but did not avoid the question.

That day, the entire world seed to fall into an endless darkness, all the light disappeared, along with the sun, moon, and stars in the sky, as if swept away by so unspeakable force.

At that ti, he saw the whole world gradually swallowed by darkness, the light receding like a tide, even breathing beca heavy.

“That day…” the Captain’s low voice echoed in the air, as if awakening mories deeply buried in the heart, “Darkness spread for a full 24 hours, the entire world, no, the entire universe seed to be shrouded, even the stars lost their brilliance, we all spent a long night in fear, until the final mont, there was the last light.”

“And at that ti, the strong and scholars still managed to discover the secrets of Eternal Night through other ans.”

He looked up, his gaze penetrating the thick Black Fog, seeming to peer through the endless darkness, to look back at that unforgettable ti, team mbers couldn’t help but hold their breath, the rustling around them seed to echo their inner unease, whispering invisible fear.

“In the sky at that ti, only two massive whirlpools of light remained.”

The Captain calmly said, “One black, one white, seemingly confronting each other, they rotated across the sky, exuding a suffocating allure, making even the top strongn feel at a loss.”

Their world originally existed with many strong individuals, the most powerful were the extraordinaries, with strength in sequence five.

It was not a native world, nor was it ignorant of the outside world.

He paused, showing a slight gloomy expression in his eyes.

“At that mont, everything changed…the sun no longer rose, the surrounding starry sky disappeared, the previously empty space outside the world beca turbulent.”

“The whole world faced an unprecedented crisis, bizarre phenona twisted over the whole world appearing in the turbulence, although it only lasted a mont before they disappeared like teors to further places, that feeling of soul-tearing…I fear everyone experienced it.”

“And beneath the turbulence, shrouded in Black Fog, was where the Devourers were birthed, as you all know….”

The young mbers of the team looked at each other, although they had experienced Eternal Night, they only now understood various details.

The atmosphere was sowhat silent, after all, over the past year, this Black Fog and those Devourers born with it, had destroyed the entire world turning it into its current wasteland state.

And most importantly, originally they still had contact with other worlds, but now…they looked up, behind the Black Fog the Deep Space was full of turbulence.

As if they were isolated here.

But it was not without any ans, at least for now…progress was significant.

However, because of the Black Fog’s shroud, if they did not make efforts to quickly open a channel of escape to the outside world, ultimately everyone in this world would et an end of destruction.

This is also why they ca to this place, for the purpose of using its precise instrunts to gather data on the turbulence.

At this mont.

In the far distance, a low growl faintly ca, as if so unknown creature was stirring in the darkness.

“Don’t panic, just ignore it.”

“But the sound can be heard here…..” according to common sense, if the sound can be heard, it ans the distance is very close.

“That is from the core area of the Black Fog, far from us, in another continent, in the… ocean.” said a young man beside them solemnly.

This statent shocked everyone, causing fear in their hearts.

Such a distant distance yet the sound can still reach them, what kind of terrifying Monster made such a sound, and can they really defeat such a terrifying Monster?

Looking at their changing expressions, revealing a sense of fearful unease, the young man shook his head.

“Stay calm and composure, don’t think about irrelevant matters, focus on the present.”

The team mbers slightly recovered under his voice.

At this mont.

In the Black Fog still lingered a sense of unease, on this desolate land, they quickened their pace.

“Stay alert, keep moving.” The Captain’s voice sounded, and the team moved forward.

As the team advanced, the thick fog around them roiled, as if whispering, Uncle Gua with gusts of eerie wind.

And just at this mont.

The Captain suddenly stopped, his expression suddenly becoming grave, his brows furrowed as if sensing sothing wrong.

Then silently raised his hand.

The young man imdiately noticed, hurriedly ordered the team in a low voice: “Everyone stay alert, do not move.”

The Captain at this mont had a solemn expression, he took a deep breath, Spiritual Energy allowing his five senses to reach across a thousand miles, although blocked by the Black Fog, practically unable to reach such a distance, yet a thick scent of blood wafted from the depths of the ruins, pungent, making one’s heart tighten.

“There’s a situation ahead, you stay here, I’ll check it out first.” The Captain warned in a low voice, his voice carrying seriousness, instantly he turned into a shadow and vanished on the spot.

The team mbers followed the Captain’s figure with their gaze, in the distance was a broken City, now completely turned into city ruins, appearing particularly eerie in the dark shadows, the edge of the City filled with tear marks, signifying intense battles had taken place here.

The ground was covered with a layer of strange black liquid, the trace left by the Devourers.

Everyone felt an Ominous premonition in their hearts.

At this mont the unease in the Captain’s heart continued to escalate.

The Black Fog here was more than ten tis thicker than in other places, he stepped into the edge of this City, trying to find more clues within this vast ruin.

And the next mont the Captain’s body slightly trembled.

Because in the outer ruins, he only saw sparse skyscrapers, but entering here, the vast interior of the City had turned into a giant pit.

Looking deep into the pit, the Captain was shocked to find that the pit was filled with crowded Devourers’ corpses, dismbered, none survived, even fresh blood still seeped out, infiltrating the earth, this blood scent emanating from these corpses, so overwhelming it was sickening.

“How could this be…” the Captain muttered to himself, incredulous.

This place had completely beco a massive corpse pit.

He surveyed the surroundings, scrutinizing the conditions of these Devourers, trying to find answers.

He slowly knelt, carefully observing the environnt around him, he discovered many deep claw marks, deeply scratching the ground, marks left by the claws of the Devourers, apparently, a brutal fight unfolded here.

Who was the strong one here?

And there was fresh bloodstain as well.

“Can’t keep looking here…” the Captain hesitated in his heart, this City was not as simple as they had thought, and the wasteland was not as united as imagined; he absolutely could not let these new team mbers get involved in lethal danger.

Just as he turned to leave and reunite with the team.

From the distant Black Fog a low growl seed to co, accompanied by an indescribable terrifying aura sweeping in!

The Captain’s heart tightened abruptly, he turned his head.

The eerie Black Fog surged from afar like tides, such a thick level, he had never seen before!

Moreover, within was an even denser roar!

The Captain’s face changed dramatically, he snarled, “Run fast!”

Rumble!

No need for the Captain to remind, everyone already noticed the commotion behind them, all their faces filled with shock and fear, directly heading towards the direction of the City.

“Run!”

“How did it co to this!”

The Captain watched this scene, his expression serious.

Just as he had said before, in the Black Fog, never to battle against the Devourers, for it would only draw more and more terrifying things!
