“If she had finished writing, I think the word would have read ‘ROSE’.”
I was surprised by what I just heard, especially because I just couldn’t figure out how I could be involved in all of this.
“Was she already dead when you guys arrived?”
“Yes, Dr. Baldwin had gone with as well. He examined the body and initially speculated that she had died of poisoning, but he still needs to confirm the cause of death so he’s taken so samples from her body.”
“Poisoning? Oh God, I need to go take a look.”
“Luna, I’ve already asked soone to protect the scene. No one can enter or leave. You should probably rest in your room.”
What? Soone from my pack died, probably from poisoning, had written what looked like my na on the floor, and this guy was telling to just sit still?
“Ad, I’m the Luna of this pack! Don’t I have the right to go to the scene?”
“Luna, many have been to and probably still are at the scene after the incident. I suggest you stay out of the lilight.”
“So you don’t want to go because you think I’m a suspect?”
“That is not the reason I’m telling you this, and I definitely do not suspect you!” Just when neither of us could convince the other, I suddenly felt like I was being pulled into a dark space and heard sothing or soone calling . ‘Who’s there?’
‘Luna? You can talk to .’

‘Luna, I’m Ad’s wolf, Barnes.’
Oh gosh, the moon goddess has revealed another ability of mine!
‘Barnes, is there sothing you want to say to

‘Luna, please understand Ad. He just doesn’t want anything to go wrong. I would suggest waiting for Alpha to return.’
‘Alright.’ I sighed, maybe Ad was just following Edward’s orders. If Edward was here, he most likely wouldn’t have allowed to go to the scene either.
“Luna?” I heard Ad calling and I snapped back to the brightly lit bedroom I was still sitting in. It seed didn’t know that I had spoken to his wolf.
“I’ll wait for Edward to co back and talk to him.”
I watched Ad’s shoulders relax a little. He quickly said goodbye to , ready to leave to report this to Alpha Lyon and Luna Taylor. Tomorrow morning, news of Christie’s death would have already spread throughout the entire community. Wait, no. It wouldn’t take that long since Ad had said that so mbers of the community had already been to the scene.
Regardless of how Christie died, just the fact that she wrote my na in blood baffled . How could this matter be related to when I have no clue what was going on?

After Edward replied to my ssages, I didn’t hear from him again. To be honest, I felt bad that this incident had ruined his trip. If it weren’t for those letters, Edward probably wouldn’t have co back so quickly. I lay on our big bed, tired. I wanted to take a nap, but I found myself tossing and turning. I just couldn’t fall asleep.
‘Rose, relax, you need a break.’
My wolf Charlotte decided to say sothing. She always showed up when I was in a bad mood.
‘Do you think I can sleep in this situation? It’s probably been all over the news that I had sothing to do with Christie’s death, but I’m just sitting here like a duck, doing nothing.’ ‘It’s not as bad as you think, because you didn’t do it.’ ‘But I don’t understand. Why would she write my na?’
‘Don’t worry, I have faith that Alpha will uncover the truth. All you need to do now is to trust the process and stay out of this case.’
We stopped talking and I continued lying in bed, forcing myself to sleep.
