I closed the diary and walked over to hold Rose. She looked up at and what I saw in her eyes broke my heart.
“So, who is that devil?”
“Nicholas.”
“Who?”
“Nicholas is a vampire. Your father had collected a lot of information about Nicholas and the Werewolves of Chaos at the back of the diary.”
“So this vampire took my mother?”
Although what I said next would break Rose’s heart more, I had to tell her the truth.
