[Rose’s P.O.V.]
“Elder Liam, Frankie wants to et Mona?”
Edward was looking at and I could see the surprise in his eyes. I didn’t need to think much as I simply nodded in return. Edward told Elder Liam that I agreed, though with a hint of hesitation.
“Baby, do you know that Werewolf of Chaos?” asked Edward right after he had hung up.
“I don’t know him but I had seen him when I used the Illusion of Despair on Nicholas. I think I need to et him since he asked to see .”
But Edward’s first reaction was to stop .
“I an, maybe we can wait for his public trial before going. The elders said that he didn’t say anything during his imprisonnt. Moreover, his surrender is suspicious in itself. I don’t want you getting too close to him, especially since we don’t know what he is up to.”
“Alpha, don’t you rember? I can read others’ thoughts. I think it’s beneficial for the council to interrogate him in my presence. I can see if he’s lying.”
“But what if he can keep you out of his thoughts too? What if he was a Werewolf of Chaos too?” It seed that he was now half an expert in studying Werewolves of Chaos.
“You’re right, but I still need to go. I want to be as useful as possible because I have a very good feeling that this person has information about my mother. I saw him next to her in Nicholas’s Illusion of Despair. I need to know the truth.”
“Alright, then we’ll go.”
“Alonso will also have so insights because I had requested his help regarding sothing related to this previously.”
“When did this happen?”
“On the day we returned to the pack, I told him everything I saw in Nicholas’s vision. He promised that he would help investigate.”
When I told Edward about Alonso’s findings, he sighed.
“Baby, you can completely take charge now, but I still hope that I can protect you and our son’s safety,” said Edward to with a hint of loneliness and worry in his eyes. Just as he was about to say sothing, I hooked my hand around his neck and sealed his lips with mine.
“Alpha, I might start to walk on different paths as you and beco stronger, but I will always be yours and yours only.” I was not lying.
