Grandpa Yan: "I'm so sorry I couldn't say my goodbyes to your mother, but this is truly very sudden and unexpected, so have you made up your mind?"
Alan: "Indeed, Grandpa. I did, after much careful consideration; I don't think the path of elite universities is for to take."
Laura: "New soldiers probably go through the initial training period. Do you know how long it will take you to get back?"
Alan shook his head.
Alan: "I don't even know when the recruiters will co, but I will definitely visit whenever I have a vacation."
Carla: "We will miss you so much; you better visit us as soon as you get a leave."
Grandpa Yan: "After the incident, although no one could place the bla on us, so in the capital tried but failed miserably, as I have been called back to the capital for the new position in HQ with both of my granddaughters offered a better position. All of that would not have happened without you, so please let this old man thank you."
Alan: "This is the fruit of Grandpa's labor; I rely help a little."
Grandpa Yan: "Our flight ti is soon, so excuse us as we really need to get going."
Alan shook Grandpa Yan's hand as he watched the old man getting out of the house.
Carla looked at Laura as they both exchanged a determined look.
Out of nowhere, Alan felt a soft sensation covering both his cheeks.
Carla: "We will be waiting for you in the capital."
Laura: "We will miss you so much, so you better miss us too."
Both of them hugged the frozen Alan as they stord out of the house.
Raising his hands on his cheeks as he tried to rember the soft sensation.
Alan: "That was one hell of an ambush."
A soft smile appeared on his face as he watched the girls leave.
...
It has been 5 days since everyone left, and although staying alone in the house had its charm of tranquility and peace, Alan could not help but miss the lively atmosphere that filled the house a week ago.
Standing in the garden, he had put everything in order as he knew that the hunts would take care of his mother and Lily.
He does not have much to bring back with him if the recruitnt cos.
The only thing that he did not know what to do with was the shaless flower in the garden, as he had already promised her to provide resources and beast at and bodies for her to consu, but the mont that recruiters ca, he had to follow them, so leaving her here alone is out of options.
He walked to the corner of the garden as he looked at the shaless flower, trying to decide what to do with her.
Then an idea flashed in his head. The value of the little flower was evident, and for now there was no huge consumption of resources. He could easily provide for all her needs.
As a production-type beast, she's practically paying for all of her resources and more.
So the idea of contracting the little flower beca much more appealing for him. If he ford the contract with her, he could put her inside his sanctuary, a safe environnt that can accelerate the growth of beasts, practically a wet dream for the lazy and shaless flower.
Alan: "I have an offer for you. How about instead of being your protector, I beco your contractor and master? If you form a contract with , you can follow everywhere and stay safe inside the sanctuary, which is a very special place that can help you break through faster."
"... Protector…. Beco…Master…… Follow master… agree"
Although it was broken, there was a telepathic connection without even forming a contract, which showed how special this little flower is, as she agreed Alan imdiately began forming a contract with her.
Soon the clear light filled the garden as Alan's blood was absorbed by the little flower.
Alan: "From now on your na will be Everbloom; you will be my partner and a part of my family. For now I will take you inside the special place; I think you will like it a lot."
Storing Everbloom inside his sanctuary He felt that the telepathic communication was coming from her.
Everbloom: "Master, I feel good here. It is so comfortable; Everbloom wants to stay here forever."
Alan: "Hahahahahaha, so you found your dream house and decided to beco a NEET. Enjoy yourself, Everbloom."
After taking care of the last thing that he was worried about, Alan spent the next 3 days ditating and cultivating together with Nova and Tanaris, almost like a hermit lifestyle where they focused on cultivation and nothing else.
....
After 10 days of staying alone in the house, there was a sudden knock on the entrance door.
Alan woke up from his ditation as he went to see who was knocking on his door.
When he opened the door, he was surprised to see two people, one middle-aged man and another young man who looked to be in his late twenties.
The young man had a carefree air around him, while the Middle Eastern man was strict, as he had a special air of authority and looked like soone who would follow every rule to the letter.
"Good afternoon, we are sorry to bother you so suddenly. We are looking for Alan Ortex; this is his house, right? Is your big brother here?"
The young man was the first to talk as he asked about Alan Ortex.
Alan: "Good afternoon, I am Alan Ortex. And you reached the right house; please co in."
"What!!"
The young man could not help but shout in shock, while the middle-aged man, although silent, had shock clearly visible on his face.
Both of them followed Alan to the living room, where they sat on the couch.
Alan: "Tea or coffee?"
The young man: "There's no need, no need."
The middle-aged man: "I will have tea."
Young man: "Ahh?"
Alan went to the kitchen, leaving the baffled young man and the stoic middle-aged one alone in the living room.
The young man: "This can't be right; there must be so kind of mistake, right? Soone clearly ssed up big ti."
The middle-aged man: "We will see after we talk to him."
Alan ca from the kitchen holding three cups of tea as he presented them to the guests.
Alan: "I hope you like the herbal tea; could you please introduce yourselves?"
The young man: "Ahh, sorry for that. I completely forgot. We ca as fast as we could imdiately after reaching this town. My na is Ron, and the big, stoic-looking guy beside is Kane."
Kane: "It is nice eting you."
Alan: "Pleasure to et you both."
Ron: "Have you been expecting a visit?"
Alan: "Indeed, I was told that recruiters will visit soon, approximately 10 days ago."
Ron: "So your na is truly Alan Ortex; you look so young."
Alan: "Indeed, my na is Alan Ortex; in a few months I will be 17 years old."
Ron: "Do you have the sign of recomndation?"
Alan: "The sign? Ahh, you an this card?
When Alan took the card out, the expressions on both their faces changed dramatically.
Ron: "May I?"
Alan: "Of course, here."
Ron took the card from Alan as he examined it carefully, only for Kane to snatch it.
Ron: "Ahh."
Kane carefully examined the card as he slowly manipulated Ena, releasing it towards the card, which did the surprising thing as she absorbed the traces of Ena, only for an emblem to appear, and next to it was Alan's na shining with a bright light.
Kane: "As I thought, I can't believe we are seeing this type of card."
Ron: "So it is true; I wasn't mistaken. It is a card that is given by number."
Kane: "Mmm."
Both of them looked at Alan strangely as if they were looking at an endangered species that popped out of nowhere in front of them.
Kane: "Have you been given any details?"
Alan: "Not much. I was told that you guys will co. The only detail that I was truly given is to get out of my bubble and enter the true world."
Ron: "Can you tell more about how you got this card?"
Alan: "Half a month ago, a group of heretics summoned a bizarre entity in an auction that happened here in Howlertown. At that ti, many people, including many high-class beast tars, died at the hands of the summoned entity. I was almost killed too. At that ti a masked man interfered, practically saving my life. After a few days, I was attacked in the back garden by another masked female, so I fought back. Our fight took us to the outside of town, and I was beaten very badly. At that ti that woman threw this card on and told about you."
A great shock spread all over their faces as they listened to this bizarre story that was coming from a 16-year-old.
